Story
When romance novelist Kate Smith suddenly gets writer's block as she's beginning the final installment of her international best-selling erotic Bed 'n Breakfast series, she'll do pretty much anything to get her groove back. Like sneak into a Tire Depot waiting room because her words flow there just like complimentary coffee - smooth, sweet, and scorchingly hot. She manages to fly under the radar until the rugged and charming mechanic, Miles Hudson, notices the quirky redhead slinking in and out of the employees-only entrance. But she's way too intriguing to blow the whistle on.

Am I friends with JP Cane? Ha! That's laughable. Besides the fact that he’s adopted some far-fetched notion from the movie When Harry Met Sally that says men and women can't be friends and work together, it’s safe to say we're not friends. He's annoyingly loud, obnoxiously handsome, and has made an art out of poking all my hot buttons...multiple times a day. So you can imagine how disgruntled I am when I not only have to fly to San Francisco with him for work, but stay in the same penthouse. Yup, we're sharing the same air, 24-7. We're talking full-fledged working roommates.

The first time I met Merrick Crawford was during my job interview. Well, technically, I’d met him 20 minutes earlier when he’d barged into a fitting room a few doors down from my appointment. I yelled. He yelled. After an argument while standing in my bra, I proceeded to smash the door into the gorgeous jerk, trying to yank it shut. As you might imagine, I was freaked out when I discovered that the rude guy was my potential new boss. Yet he didn’t seem to recognize me. Or so I thought.... Until we wound up bickering again during my interview and he told me to go sniff my armpit.

So why am I here, standing outside the door like the eternal wallflower I am? I'd say it's because my younger sister browbeat me into it, but the truth is, I'm tired of being a nobody. Publisher's Summary
Only a bad nanny knows what it’s like to kiss the boss.
CEO millionaire Max Fletcher is a single dad in desperate need of a nanny. Cozy Barlow is in the middle of her self-appointed “gap year” and doing everything she can to detach from her past. But when her sister begs her to interview for the nanny position of a high-maintenance client, she doesn’t have a good enough reason to say no. And when Max locks eyes on the 20-something in a tie-dye sweat suit who pitches the idea of daydreaming all summer—he prepares to give this bad nanny the boot.
One problem: Max’s little girl thinks this plus-sized in body and spirit nanny might be her new bestie, so she hires her on the spot.
Now Max is stuck with this bizarre woman who hates everything he represents—corporate greed, money, status, power. But one stormy night when the power goes out, he discovers Cozy doesn’t hate him. In fact, he’s the leading role in her fantasies.
Fantasies he would very much like to make a reality.

Fantastic story! 💜
Amy Daws does it again. I loved everything about this story. It’s funny, charming and sexy.
Their chemistry is on fire. The “plus size” main female character is fresh and unique but the story doesn’t focus on her size, and that’s how it should be. Everly is freaking adorable. The ex and her new partner was a great addition to this story. There was the perfect amount of drama combined with this romance.
The narration was absolutely brilliant. Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton’s performances were outstanding. Their emotions and voice acting really brought this story to life. Well done everyone!
This book is a complete standalone with an HEA but also has reoccurring characters from the Wait With Me Series.
I highly recommend this book!

I am so bummed I didn't absolutely love this book like the others in the series. I waited very impatiently for this story and was so excited to get my hands on it. Even though this wasn't my favorite story, I still enjoyed many moments and overall rooted for Max and Cozy to get their happily ever after.
A couple of things bothered me. First off, there were a couple things that were repeated quite a bit that took me out of the moment in the story and I don't think they needed to be used so often. It might just be a me thing but I cringed when the word "Zaddy" was said, and it was a lot. Also, everything seemed to "unlock a kink." Both of these things got old fast to me.
My favorite part of this story was Everly, Max's daughter. She was the cutest, smartest, and sweetest, kid and she stole the show for me. I also loved getting updates from the other characters in this series. The epilogue was just what I needed and wanted!
I really loved the way the narrators brought these two to life! They both did a fabulous job.

Worth a Credit
Overall, pretty great read but not my favorite from this author. I love a “curvy” heroine but I’m so tired of the fact every book about a plus-sized woman focuses SO MUCH on her size. We get it. She’s on the “bigger” side and doesn’t necessarily fit the “societal standard of beauty” but she’s still gorgeous. Agreed and moving on. Excellent narration, interesting plot, and enjoyable, delightful ending. I do think it’s worth a credit.

Definitely not first on my list
Overall: By the middle of the book, I genuinely thought the two protagonists are better off not together, which imo doesn’t bode well for the story.
Like:
- story was easy to follow
- I’m not the biggest fan of having children characters in steamy books, but this was quite well done and I really liked the kid.
- The narrators! Loved them
Dislike:
- a little tired of the mediocre female catches the eye of millionaire bachelor trope (do we need to keep hearing about how unconfident she is?)
- Steamy scenes aren’t that … steamy imo. Almost felt rushed and the flashbacks to the scenes seem unnecessary if the original scenes were good enough, but here we are
- Not everything sexual is a “kink” - and not the biggest fan of the repetition of “zaddy”
SPOILER WARNING: I don’t understand why other characters pushes Cozy to get back to work (her mother especially) when she basically almost died because of it. And the idea that NO ONE from her workplace visited her in the hospital? Really? (Even if their “jobs were threaten”) The amount of suspension of disbelieve is a little much.

Steamy fun
A sexy single dad who is a genuinely nice guy, but also kind of a possessive caveman? Yeah, that works for me! This hero steals the show with his combination of sweet and alpha/businessman and caveman, but I also loved the vibrant heroine who has unexpected sides of her own. The two make for a very compelling combination, and the boss/nanny/forbidden element really worked as well. It's steamy fun, with a fling to more romance that slowly shifts into something deeper, and there's never a dull moment along the way. The chemistry between our couple sizzled, and there are many, many fan-worthy moments. It's the banter and playfulness that really stood out for me though; Max and Cozy have an instant spark between them, they just have very different attitudes. I enjoyed the boss/nanny dynamic, which felt different than the norm because of her age (26). Cozy is no young or timid heroine falling for the boss, she's a strong and independent woman who knows exactly what she's getting into... at least until she gets in over her head.
The story follows Max, a successful businessman who is excited to have his daughter full-time for the summer. He's a great dad who takes the time to truly care about his daughter, but he does need a nanny to help carry the load. Unfortunately, they've been unable to find the perfect fit, and the hot mess of a woman who interviews last doesn't seem to fit the bill either. But when Max's daughter chooses Cassandra/Cozy, he finds himself hiring the seemingly carefree woman. Cozy isn't the typical nanny, and her philosophy seems to be no planning, no worries. When she moves into the guest house, it immediately changes the dynamic, and it's not long before Max finds himself inexplicably drawn to her. Messing around with his nanny is a terrible idea, but something about Cozy brings out Max's baser instincts.
It's a steamy book with plenty of humor, and the tone remains light even when it tackles some difficult subjects. I kinda loved that we got these first impressions of Max and Cozy, and there was so much more swimming beneath the surface to discover throughout. Sure, we've gotten to see bits and pieces of Max throughout the series (absolutely not required reading), but I always pictured him as more of a serious businessman type. He's a lot more fun here, and certainly more jealous/possessive than anyone would've guessed. Max and Cozy are awesome together, and it was really refreshing to see a guy loving and embracing his girl's full figure. If anything, Cozy's body just makes Max go into overdrive, lol. The story is not focused on her weight, which was great too. It was also not focused on Max's backstory either, though I can certainly see how it shaped him into the man he is today. There were a couple of minor things that bugged me about that, but nothing major holding me back from enjoying the story. I'm usually not the biggest fan of "let's bang out the attraction" storylines, but there was a lot more going on here, so it kept me hooked. This was another very solid installment in the series, though it's also easy to read as a standalone - and here's hoping it's the start of a spinoff series.
Audio note: The audio was excellent! It definitely enhanced the story, and may have even pulled this from a strong 4 to a 5-star read for me. It's dual narration, with Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon performing throughout. I'm a big fan of both, so their voices added a level of comfort and relaxation to the story... and a little extra heat during the steamy scenes! Which, yeah, I wouldn't recommend this one for the office. It gets steamy and/or suggestive early on, and stays that way. The tone is perfect for audio though, and I really enjoyed the audio experience. This one is longer than some of the others in the series (11+ hours), so you might have trouble finishing in a single day, but I eagerly picked the book back up after every break - and that's always a good sign.

Curvy girl woke.
I’ve gained a lot of weight and lost a lot and then gained a lot- all from stress.
I’m married to a man who has seen me with these waves and always comments about my “lifestyle” being the issue. I think I’m pretty and I’m starting to love my Large sized body but it’s unrequited. These books make me feel more seen than I’ve ever been seen. I hope it can happen in real life because I absolutely swoon over these stories.

Spicy!
Opposites attract and with the hot, grumpy millionaire dad in the mix these opposites are set to get explosive. Spicy "workouts", witty dialogue and an adorable kid in the mix made this a fun listen. It's a great break from reality and it was nice to see a gal that isn't a super model or stick thin getting some love for a change. Multiple tropes at play here so a little something for everyone.

So steamy yet sickeningly sweet
This book was a great rom-com with a whole lot of steam! I absolutely loved parts of the read and other parts I didn't care for, hence the 3 star rating. I thought Cozy's character was incredible! I loved her from the moment she came blazing into Max's office in a flury of tie-dye! She was so confident but laid back. She was clearly driven and successful but in her own way that made her happiest. She was so good with Everly and her empathy and compassion shined through this read.
I also loved Max and all that he was. A little grumpy, a little guarded, a whole lot sexy and protective! His back story with his ex-wife Jessica was heartbreaking but you could see so much growth and maturity come from their situation. I actually really liked Jesssica's character and it's not often you like the ex in a romance book!
I enjoyed the cameos from all of the Wait With Me series characters and how they embraced Cozy into their crew. She fit right into the chaos!
Here's what I didn't care so much for...
Everly, Max's daughter, was written as though she was of kindergarten age and it wasn't until almost mid-way through the book that I realized she was actually 11 years old. Her character was written so immaturely that I couldn't have ever believed she was 11. Later in the read it seemed like the author wrote her with a little more maturity, which I appreciated.
The first time Max called Cozy "sweet cheeks" it was hot because the name was fitting for the intimate scene. But the more he kept calling her that, the more it made me cringe. It felt very degrading to her plus size character.
Overall this book was quite funny and very steamy! I loved the chemistry between the main characters and I actually really enjoyed the break down of their relationship and watching them get over their differences to repair it. The "break up" made sense in this romance read, which it usually never does! Cozy's grand gesture was so cute!
The narration for this book was phenominal, as always when it comes to Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton.

Max and Cozy!
Max is a single father who is devoted to his daughter Everly so with his ex-wife out of town for a few months he decides to hire a nanny. The search has been unsuccessful, and he is down to the final applicant when not only is she late but her life philosophies make her unsuitable however his daughter doesn’t agree.
After what Cozy has been through all she wants is some time to appreciate what life has to offer while she decides what direction she wants her future to take. She and Everly become fast friends, but she never expected to be attracted to her boss. Not only did she believe that he was a ruthless businessman, but she didn’t believe that this sexy man would be interested in her curvy figure, but she couldn’t have been more wrong.
The characters are captivating as despite what they show to others Max and Cozy’s pasts has led to some self doubts which causes some turmoil along the way. The interactions between them are humorous and hot but it still has quite the emotional pull and Everly is a scene stealer. The narrators managed to portray every feeling of the characters and made this wonderful story even better.

Single parent and plus size nanny
Max and Cozy's story had me laughing and enjoying the story overall, I love the series, but this is not my favorite one, it felt like the story had a good plot, but to make it longer it just started to get the extra drama that didn't hook me, the pacing was good overall, perhaps because I got the audiobook version narrated by two very talented narrators Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon, that made me enjoy it more. I love that the author included a plus-size heroine and that made it more refreshing.

Hilarious!
This is the fifth book in the Wait With Me Series, a Single Dad Boss Romance. This is a series of intertwined characters. I love this series! Max and Cassandra (Cozy)'s story is funny and steamy. Max is enigmatic, strict, dominant, workaholic, sexy, and very handsome. Cozy is such a wonderful character, beautiful, feisty, smart, and caring. They definitely are opposite attracts, but they are fantastic together. Some scenes are hilarious! I liked the humor in the story. Max's daughter Everly is also a wonderful character. She is so cute! The storyline is romantic and heartwarming. Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon did an excellent job with the narration. They are Max and Cozy! I enjoyed it. I HIGHLY recommend this series. Amy Daws NEVER disappoints!

A great audio
Last on the List.. My first 5 star of the year! I bloody love Cosy so much for what she stands for and who she is. I felt like Amy was in my mind and writing some of my situations. It was insane how much she nailed it right down to every last feeling and the aftermath, so much so even thinking about it made me emotional.
Now where’s Cosy’s number listed so I can call her 😂😂

Terrific!
Funny, warm, witty, hot, delicious. Just a brief summation of this brilliant audio. The story is populated by favourite characters from prior stories, and with central characters in Cossie, Max and, of course, Everly, I found new favourites! As for Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton! They are simply amazing. Fluent, totally brilliant and masters of their art. Their verbal skills are the best! I could listen to them forever! 💖💖💖💖💖💖

Amazing
Woohoo!! We've returned to Boulder, Colorado, where we've visited before, more than once. We've even met the sexy CEO millionaire, Max. So excuse my excitement ....squeeee!
In need of a nanny for the summer, Max Fletcher is left with no choice but to hire Cozy Barlow.
Let the fun begin!.....
This book is amazing. They seem to be the epitome of 'never the twain shall meet' personality wise BUT opposites attract, right?
I was alternately, gasping, laughing, shocked, intrigued and stunned with the cuteness of the relationship between Cozy and Max's daughter as well as the developing relationship between our two main characters.
All this and catching up with old friends in Boulder, what more could you ask for?

Deliciously sexy romcom
Once again, the author mixes a deliciously sexy romcom with a generous amount of serious questions about life and relationships. This time, the burden of a toxic workplace environment and the acceptance of one’s sexuality can be seen between the torrid encounters of billionaire Max with his big younger nanny. And it works so well.
Her characters are total opposites. On one hand, there’s Max, the single dad billionaire totally devoted to his daughter despite his huge responsabilities and heavy workload. On the other hand, Cozy, his new nanny, a plus-size young woman whose motto is to do less. Between them, Everly as the perfect bridge. The kid was unknowingly a little matchmaker in the making.
The attraction is strong right from the beginning. I loved that Cassandra recognized Max’s lust, with only a touch of doubt but no more than any other female character in romance where the girl always feels like she isn’t enough. She wasn’t always completely confident about her physique and size, but she wasn’t hiding herself either most of the time, and she didn’t need other people to validate her. The doubts she had about her value had nothing to do with her size–won’t say what they were though, it was an interesting revelation in the book.
I’m still not completely sure about the appearance of all the characters in the series. It felt more like fanservice even when they had some impact on Cozy and Max’s relationship. I loved Max’s brothers though. The couple of scenes they were in were funny and helped define Max’s character.
It was only a tiny part of the story, but I quite enjoyed the powerful LGBTQ+ message. Acceptance, support–financially and emotionally–and the fact that it’s Max who delivers it. All of that was nice and positive.
What can I say about the narration? The narrators are back for the fifth book of the series and they fit the author’s words so well. A match made in heaven. They have the energy, the comic timing, and the right delivery for both sexy and emotional lines. This series is so great.

Finally a millionaire/nanny trope that rocks…
I think what takes the cake for this book is it’s genuine self-awareness. From the reality of Cozy’s confident self-love, to the ethical quandary of screwing the nanny, to the gross underbelly of a millionaire/billionaire tropes in romance writing (ahem…corporate greed), Amy Daws knew what she wanted this story to be and didn’t have any compunctions addressing the grey areas that are so often glossed over in romance. Throw in stellar pacing, spunky characters, good chemistry, AND the narration? Yeah, this was a cut above.
Highly recommend spending a credit etc. on this beauty.

Single dad / nanny, full of fun!
If you are a fan of opposites attract and billionaire single dad / nanny trope read this book!
Max's daughter will spend the whole summer with him and as he is a businessman he needs someone to look after her while he is working.
Cassandra/Cozy's sister own the nanny agency and since none of the candidates were ideal she goes in for an interview. She is in between jobs and in the process of rediscovering what she wants to do, spending the summer with a cute eleven years old girl seems like the perfect way to do that.
Max and Cozy crash from the beginning, but Everly is ecstatic to spend the summer doing less and she immediately clicks with her.
The forced proximity was wonderful seeing as Cozy is staying in his property, in a house near the main house. The chemistry is amazing from the start and when they finally give into it's even better.
I have read many of Amy Daws' books and even if this one wasn't my favourite it was a lot of fun.
Max was great, we had only see glimpses of him from the previous books and he was even better than I expected.
I didn't connect with Cozy, she seemed a bit immature and secretive from the start, which made it difficult to understand her.
I listened to the audiobook and the narators did an amazing job with the book, it was a great experience listening to it.
* I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Cringy AF
An ok story line but very cringy to listen to. The use of Zaddy and sweet cheeks didn't do it for me.
