Publisher's Summary

Jadee Trollis knows a little something about things that go bump in the night. Thanks to a father obsessed with myths, legends, and the paranormal, Jadee was dragged around the world in his pursuit of everything from ghosts to Sasquatch as a child. She got away from all that craziness in her teens, seeking a normal life as an adult. A trip to Alaska to visit her father quickly turns into a nightmare. Jadee ends up trapped in her father's tricked-out RV, hiding from the dangerous Vampires outside.

Lavos is the hottest man she's ever seen when he comes to her rescue. He growls, has some seriously strange but beautiful eyes, and he's not human. But returning to the lower 48 might not be the safety net she's expecting, and the normal life Jadee craves more than anything means never seeing Lavos again. When she finds herself in need of his help, it seems her new normal may be back in Alaska, waiting in her VampLycan's arms.

Another great book in this series! Loved how bada$$ both of these characters are! Jadee was tough and kicking butt no matter how scared she was. She was in danger and what a better way to meet your mate than under stress! This whole series has been so much fun to listen to!

The narration... perfect!!!

VLG BOOKS FOUR AND FIVE REVIEW

Any additional comments?

If you've seen my reviews of the first three books you know I loved them . These two are not as good but they are enjoyable. It seems it took too long for Lavos and Veso to determine the women were their mates so not enough coupling for me. I still love the series as a whole and if you love paranormal these are good listens.

5 Lavos Stars

HECK YES!

This book was awesome. I think my favorite so far.

I loved that Jadee was SCARED to death but she was KICK Freaking A - S - S!! She kept a level head. No dramalama bullshit for her oh no sireeeee!!

I loved Lavos, I mean he is Lorn’s brother soooo he had that going for him. And I loved the connection he has with Jadee but I liked best was that he let her go.

And that right there says a lot about who he is and the kind of man he is.

This book has it all the action, the love and the wit ohhh the wit. I do love a good banter; this didn’t have as much as the last book but it is still freaking awesome. I can’t wait for the next to come out in audio… it's toooo longggggg… :p I have the ebook buuuut you know me... I am an audio lover soo I can wait.

Again Savannah Richards kills it. I love her performance in each book so far.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Another Great Book but SLOW Start

Although I've been trying to read these books in order, this particular one dragged on for almost two hours back & forth with Her backstory. More often than not I appreciate this. Unfortunately this particular book dragged it out to hear boredom for Me,especially on people whom will no longer be in the series. I'm JS... Other than this, a pretty good read (listen). Not sure if worth the $$$ at regular price.

Huff and Puff as*hole you can't get in!

JD's dad is hunter of vamps/yeti/warewolves/etc. He's spent his life trying to prove their existence. JD has arrived to a remote part of Alaska to visit her dad and his team. Turns out JD's dad was abducted and turned by the vamps. Soon it will be night and the vamps will be returning for JD and the team.

Lavos and Carr are enforcers and they're tracking vamps. They come across the trailer JD is in. Lavos hears JD giving vamps verbal hell and he's attracted to her spunk, they of course kill the vamps. Lavos trys to convince JD that he's law enforcement and won't hurt her but she knows by his abilities that he's not human and doesn't fall for his excuses.

Lavos finally takes a chance and tells JD the truth. She helps Lavos mind wipe the team then they're on their way home. There's still one missing rogue vamp who jumps in front of the vehicle and they wreck. Lavos is tracking the rogue vamp and realizes the vamp changed direction and is chasing the vehicle. Once again...LAVOS TO THE RESCUE!

Wow, just wow. This book is full of action from the get go and it doesn't slow down. There's also some hot, hot, sex.

If you liked the first four books this one will not disappoint, it's my second favorite. Laurann Dohner has created a fantastical VampLycan world for us to enjoy. Savannah Richards gives an enthralling performance.

Absolutely worth the credit. I'll listen to the VLG series over and over.

Least fav book for a Laurann Dohner fan

The story was rushed... or, didn't have enough content to justify an entire book. Let me first say, I love Laurann Dohner. I have read all of the New Species series and now have moved on to the VLG series. The new world of paranormal is captivating. Unfortunately, this book has failed expectations. Skip this book. you are missing nothing, The book is extremely short. I The book is NOT worth $14

Too short

I love the series. I think this one could have been longer. It seem like the chapters are getting shorter and rushed. I would have loved to see more time spent discussing the clan how they accepted JD. If Lavos and JD got married. If vampires chasing JD come to Alaska. So much of the story was missing. How about Mya trying to attack JD?

EPIC SNOOOOOZZZZZE!!

Let me start by saying, I don't think I finished this book. I can't remember if I finished, because I think I fell asleep while listening, and just haven't cared to revisit it. I kept thinking it would get more interesting, or make some type of sense, but that moment never arrived, so I decided to forewarn future readers. There's no way I'd attempt to finish this book unless it's nap time.

I don't like to write negative reviews, especially about one of my favorite authors in this genre, but this story is a total miss. From beginning to wherever I left off, I was not into it. Lavos seemed like a throwaway character that really didn't deserve an entire book. The supporting characters were lame and could've been deleted altogether. The vamps were the most exciting because they are nut jobs.

I still love Laurann Dohner and highly recommend her other books/series'.

Books 1 and 2 still not beaten for me!

I did enjoy this book, but I am still waiting for any VLG book to beat 1 and 2 (Drantos and Kraven). They were so funny! I know this is the reverse of what many readers feel though. I liked the banter between the friends in this book, esp at the start. Looking fwd to reading WEN now.......I hope we hear from Bat and her sister from the 1st 2 books soon - I'm missing them. I hate to be critical because I really like Lauren Dohner as an author, but I think the phrase "You have no idea" is being over-used a little - please take this in the nice way it is intended :-)

Enjoyable but…

I am enjoying this series and have already downloaded the next book, but it does feel a bit predictable and repetitive.

Mild spoiler warning…
If you have read the previous four books I feel you probably have a good understanding of the basic plot already. Important vamplycan mates with a human after overcoming difficult and dangerous circumstances/situations. At the beginning of the series I was under the impression a mating with a human was fairly rare, but by now it seems almost common. This wouldn’t be so bad if every human didn’t have to go through the same process and ask the same questions and be given the same explanations…this is very tiresome! Other than this, it’s been a light easy listen with good narration.

I’ll try the next book, but I may not make the end of the series if the same pattern persists.

Brilliant series!!

Listened to this back in May & only now writing a review after I finished book 6 in the series. I love this genre so this book was an easy choice to purchase. Great story, has some real funny moments and Savannah really brings the story to life. Couldn't wait to read the next book. I love how the stories reference past & future title characters & each book has a healthy dose of smut too

A Great addictive series

The performance was great again.
Storyline was different, I really enjoyed it. This is an addictive series.
Glen aka Glenda was a sassy, strong independent woman.
And Lavos 2nd in command,

Lavos is the hottest man she’s ever seen when he comes to her rescue. He growls, has some seriously strange but beautiful eyes, and he’s not human.
Glen craves the VampLycan.!
