Publisher's Summary

Protect and serve has become protect and rule.

There's a new sheriff in town. Rob has survived the first few weeks. He still doesn't have any magic but all his training has led to a new ability. The prompts call it cultivation, but no one seems to know anything about it. So far he can use it to make himself stronger, faster, better but it's a lot of work.

Now he has to juggle the many responsibilities of the sheriff as he tries to make Yonderton a safe place for all the people looking to him.

Speaking of juggling, he has to sort out the bunny girl clerk, the foxkin deputy, the secretive elven alchemist, and the would be father-in-law who is intent on Rob marrying his orc daughter.

Just another day for the sheriff.

The damn interludes

Why the damn interlude they do not a damn thing to move the story forward
The mc gets caught up in thinking to himself no wonder everyone escapes
When the story covers more on a workout then crime fighting there is something wrong it could have been so much more

Good book,but…..

The entire series has been a fun ride so far.
The only downside is the stupidity from the MC. Coupled with the constantly getting his ass kicked, passing out from everything, and continual re-affirmation from the women on things they already talked about.

In moderation these thinks are good. Great character builders. However, consistently on the verge of dying, passing, and getting proverbial shit on by enemies and the women he loves. Makes the MC irritating at times. I just wanted a little more “I’m gonna Fu$& you up” and then do so. And a little less thank you sir can I have another.

The narrators were great and story structure it’s self make you want to find out what around the next corner. Worth reading.

I'm really enjoying this series.

That was awesome! keep it up, I wasn't sure i was going to lile it but, it os really good. The story is good and it keeps you a little confused about who is good besides the main character and crew or if all of the other and their agendas are bad. love it! ❤️

Continues a great story

I read one review about stupid decisions and honestly just don't get it.

The MC acts and doesn't always do the best thing but he is in the heat of
battle. I find that type of MC to be more realistic and relatable.

I love how much he is a take charge kind of MC and definitely goes at it.
He is creating a cultivation system from scratch and taking charge of his life.

The battle against his arch-rival definitely showed his growth from the first book.

decent story, great performance, mc could be bette

Not going to go into a summary of the story, just touch on the points I have.
The narration is spot on almost as usual. I think Daniel trys a bit too hard with the enthusiasm. Rabecca is as usual great so no need to say more on that end. The story itself is pretty good but a few things about the mc. He really never seems to learn from his mistakes, from combat to his interactions with the women around him. I was like seriously guy. Furthermore he claims to not want to add another woman to his harem stating along the lines of being faithful to his family, yet he has this big makeout session with another woman and sets his only boundry as not removing his pants. I get that in the world multiple partners is a thing, but if you're going to claim if not in so many words to be faithful, then I dont see this being near it and came across as just an excuse to have a sex sceen.
Other than this and the mc's stupid mistakes, I like the story and hope book 3 fixes these issues, else I might just have to drop the series which is sad.

Really good

Okay i really liked but i feel somewhat robbed because of the way the back street boys were dealt with, it feels like there's no closure there's only a comment of oh yeah another gang rules now especially since he got the crap beat out of him by them but still was an entertaining listen and look forward for the next one

That small goof was adorable

In interlude 2 Rebecca wood was doing an amazing job but a slip of the tongue has her saying “moral” in the place of mortal. It was adorable. As for the story itself. It’s still phenomenal.

Family comes first

I laughed at the play on words in this book and the pop culture references. I enjoyed the progression and there was definitely some steamy sex scenes too. It definitely has unconventional relationships, but the author did well in creating almost believable dynamics between the various love interests. I look forward to the next audio installment. Please hurry in releasing it for eager fans like me
