Publisher's Summary

The first book that teaches the basic Italian words to the little ones without looking like a school book.

This book teaches children the same things as a grammar book, but through fun stories to listen to. This is because, for a child, there’s no better way to learn a language than by listening to stories.

Think about it: Stories are engaging, compelling, and keep the children’s attention high, and are able to teach important things without the children even noticing it.

Conversely, grammar books (those filled with infinite lists of words, verbs, idioms, and so on) tend to make children run away. They’re so bored.

Imagine that stories are the ends of magnets that attract children, while grammar books are the opposite ends that push them away.

So, what will children learn by listening to these short, fun, and relaxing stories?

Let me break this down for you:

  • Letters of the alphabet
  • Numbers
  • The days of the week
  • Months of the year
  • Objects in the house
  • Clothing
  • Food
  • Emotions
  • Animals

Children won't even notice they're learning all of that!

The little ones can listen to the stories during the day while playing, or before going to sleep as bedtime stories. (We know that listening to something before falling asleep causes it to be imprinted in our memory.)

So, as children listen to these stories, they will become become bilingual effortlessly - because once they grow up. it becomes much more difficult.

Not really for children

Besides the fact that there are grammar errors in the first story, the stories themselves are confusing and archaic.
I stopped at story number one.

Slight lack of details.

The stories in this book were enjoyable to listen to. Beginner, in my opinion, is good classification for these stories.

You won't be disappointed!

Very good for traveling and communicating with taxi drivers, sellers, and other people. You could pleasantly interact with them if you memorized a few phrases. What perplexed me was the author's discussion on grammar. I'm not interested in learning the ins and outs of the language. As a result, when some nouns, for example, can be masculine or female, this might be perplexing. Overall, a fantastic value for money book.

Good

Good. It's a collection of short stories. Some terms are explained in the glossary at the conclusion of the narrative, while others are not.

Fantastic!!!

This book will be a valuable addition to our Spanish courses. My daughter and I both have a book of our own. There are several little revision exercises. It's fantastic!

Terrible English translation

I bought this book because I hoped it would help me improve my listening skills in Italian. Many reviews (which I read after buying it) refer to it being for Spanish classes so obviously they are not relevant to this book. The English pronunciation and translation is absolutely wild, and this book is absolutely not worth paying for. My boyfriend is Italian and found the translation mind blowingly bad, so its not just that my Italian is mediocre ;)

Great Learning Tool.

This is a fantastic book for beginners. Because many of the students already spoke Spanish, they were surprised at how simple Italian was. What a wake-up call.

Strange translations

I struggled with the English translation of these stories. They often didn’t sound quite correct to a native ear or were confusing. It’s a shame because the format and native Italian narration was really promising.
