close

I really wanted to lesrn spanish while in the car and white noise while i fell asleep. i didnt get that. In the first chapter he tells a story in spanish. I dont know what I was meant to do. I caught a word here and there but it might as well have been in a made up language and did nothing for me. Then he went into the vocabulary and he would say the word in spanish then in english. This bothered me immediately. Why would you do that in that order? It frustrated me so much i had to turn it off. I would hear a word in spanish but it had no meaning when i heard it, then i heard the english word and i would have to remember the spanish word to assign it meaning. maybe this is a new teaching technique but if so it didnt work for me. i did like the idea of a story but it went too long without discussion.

I would suggest taking the first 2 or 3 sentences, giving some of the vocab up front (english then spanish), then say the sentences, then talk about what each sentence meant, then read the same sentences again. then to the next few sentences

Really sorry I bought this.

There's a lot of content, but the format isn't conducive to learning. There's no opportunity to repeat the phrases; instead, the narrator gives the words or phrases in English, then in Spanish, then BAM--it's on to the next word or phrase. Perhaps the hardcopy of these books would be better, but as an audio learning tool, it's not great.

Not great

So far, this is just another book of stories with a bunch random vocabulary thrown in at the end. I have purchased several similar ones. None are good learning tools. If simply listening to someone speak Spanish teaches anything, just watch Univision. It’s free and way more interesting.

misrepresented

It didn't say it was gonna be a story. It is very frustrating when your listening to a story you cannot understand because you don't understand Spanish It was very ill represented it's crap it didn't even deserve one

Great for the beginner!

This book is really great! Truly simple for amateurs, for example, myself and it's not difficult to follow.

Too confusing

This promised everything I was looking for instead it starts with six stories read in Spanish which at this stage you can’t understand the word LOL.
The sections I’m not clearly defined in audio form the narration is slow and volatile and I have done not a single lesson yet as cannot follow any of it.

Extremely disappointed having it for a self up for day one of learning

Practicing pronunciation

I have done very well in studying for better pronunciation. I have understood the rules very well and I have practiced them daily, which has allowed me to see very important results in my pronunciation, which is progressing little by little.

Absolute rubbish!

Starting a beginners learning program by reading a book in the language, when you don’t know a word, is useless. Add to that, the monotonous boring voice and I only lasted 15 minutes. Awful.

Absolutely awful

1. Not audiobook - just a read of real books. Many concepts / exercises dont work
2. ‘For beginners’ yet everything requires significant prior vocabulary/ grammar. Two prior courses i did were not enough
3. Approach imo is wrong - a shower of unfamiliar words (‘in context’), very low efficiency / retention

Very good

I haven't expected to master another language after just one listen, but at least it's looking achievable with this audio book.

I have done very well

With the key tips for Spanish diction, I have been able to manage my pronunciation much more fluently. I talk to my friends, and I am proud of how much I have been able to advance, thanks to this bundle and its wonderful information.
