Publisher's Summary

Collins Spanish with Paul Noble combines an exciting, new, non-traditional approach to language learning with the easy, relaxed appeal of an audio-only product. No books. No rote memorisation. No chance of failure.

Paul Noble is a genius with a higher IQ than Einstein. Despite this, he still struggled with language learning at school. He found himself feeling 'confused, incapable and unable to really say anything'. As a result of his negative early experiences, Paul has come up with a ground-breaking new method of language teaching that removes the need for months of studying. With Paul Noble, everyone really can speak a language.

Part 2 of the course covers:

  • Travelling by bus and train
  • Making reservations
  • Asking for directions
  • Past tense

Two native-speaking Spanish experts help Paul to deliver the course and to perfect your pronunciation in both Latin American and Iberian Spanish. No complicated grammatical explanations, no rote memorisation, no writing - no stress. Learn over 6,000 words in no time at all and - most importantly - learn how to make your new vocabulary work for you. (Use the accompanying booklet as a reference and revision tool.)

poor of vocabulary, repetition of the first

I bought the number one. it was good enough to buy the second book with a higher price, I was so shocked, it suppose to add vocabulary ، chapter one and two just repeating what was in book one. we can just hear the book one again and again

Not a lot of new material

Good format to learn Spanish but the first 1/3 of the book was review from the first book. He also didn't introduce very many new words or phrases. Not worth the purchase.

Easy to follow, not boring, clear pronunciation

I felt like I could say actual sentences very easily and very quickly. Much better than just learning vocabulary, there are lots of memory cues and things stuck in my head much better than expected. I had done a university course in spanish 15 years ago, so some of it was already familiar but the way the informaton is laid out is very intuitive.
I did wish I had noticed you can buy the entire package for one audible credit - I ended up spending 3 credits where I could have just spent one. :(

Simply the best out there

After trying Rosetta Stone, Busuu, Pimsleur, classes, books, and other approaches to learn a foreign language (for me mainly Spanish), I am finally learning thanks to Paul Noble.

Learn spanish #2 good, 1-3 good,don't buy book #4

Would you consider the audio edition of Collins Spanish with Paul Noble - Learn Spanish the Natural Way, Part 2 to be better than the print version?

Learn Spanish 1-3 are good and 3-4 hours worth of material, watch out and don't buy book #4 thought it's only 19minutes

Amazing! Maravillosa!

I have been doing a little bit of this every day and finding it so very helpful. It is easy to follow and Paul helps you put it together so flawlessly that before you know it you're really understanding Spanish!

Easy to follow. Easy listening. Good repetition

it's very easy to follow. I have Versions 1, 2 & 3. While around native Spanish speakers, I understand a lot of what they're saying.

Very easy to follow

I got this series out of boredom at the tail end of the pandemic shut down. I grew up speaking "spainglish" and I thought it was time I learned to speak properly. Paul Nobel makes learning easy. He uses repetition so I was able to remember what I learned all the way through. Although, not the best for conversational Spanish it is perfect if you are planning/dreaming of a vacation in Spain or Latin America. I highly recommend this series.

Practical Spanish

I've been using this along with a Spanish class to help with conversation skills. The repetition is great. The common phrases are very useful.

The programme seems to finish mid chapter

It’s a great learning system and I love it but the audible book ends seemingly mid learning. No ending to it so it feels like it’s just been cut off. I’d have given it a 5 stars had it not seemed to end this way

by far the best way to learn a language

Previously I have learnt French and German the traditional way by memorising word lists and different forms of verbs.
This is a much more relaxed way. I particularly like the way the Latin parts of the English language are converted to Spanish,, as you immediately have a long list of English words easily converted to Spanish.

Rehash of the first Learn Spanish

I didn’t learn anything new. The whole content seemed to be a rehash of the first Learn Spanish. ‘Plus’, to me, implies I’m getting something extra which wasn’t the case. Waste of money.

Very good

Only criticism is that the lessons didnt get progressively harder, seemed to be easier if anything. Overall very good however for getting to grips with Spanish.

Disappointing and repetitive 😒

I am very disappointed with this audiobook.

I very much enjoyed the first one in the Spanish series - the easy style disguised the clever structure and logical sequence. I really felt that I made progress both quickly and relatively easily. I had, therefore, high hopes for this volume and was looking forward to moving on again. Sadly, I don’t feel that I have.

I am a language teacher myself, so am well aware of the value of repetition to embed learning. However, repetition should be the basis of further development (zone of proximal development, to use the technical term) and not just an activity for the sake of it.

If you have completed the first volume in the series and feel you would benefit from some review and revision, then this will definitely be of help. If, however, you are looking for the next step in your development, give this one a miss and move on to the next.

Great - but listen to the set of 3 in order

Would you consider the audio edition of Collins Spanish with Paul Noble - Learn Spanish the Natural Way, Part 2 to be better than the print version?

Yes. The audio encourages you to speak. The book, which is a free pdf, is great for reference.

Any additional comments?

I am learning more with this set of 3 audios than I have at a year of classes.

Legendary!! Must buy!!

i have used many programs to enhance my spanish and none are as successful as Paul Noble Spanish. This coupled with Fluenz and duolingo is the trio which got me to an intermediate level. But start here because this lays the foundation then move on.

great way to learn Spanish

Builds on vocab while gradually introducing new vocab. I like the repetition as it assists in better retention, for me.

Good but too slow going

Everything is very well explained but it really didn't cover much ground before it was over.

Too much repetition

Part one was good, but I felt like this was far too slow and repetitive. There was not enough new content and far too much rehashing of part one, which you could get by replaying that yourself if needed. Although Paul's explanations of the rules are good, constantly having to repeat simple two and three word phrases like "es romantico" and "soy de londres" got intensely annoying.

Clear and easy to understand but wanted more

A lot was a reinforcement of the first book which does help to embed what has been learnt bit sometimes a little tedious. I would have like to have seen more vocab variety
