Way too much description of EVERYTHING

Fortunately, this story is just interesting enough for me to stick it out. The female has so much repetitive inner monologue and so much overuse descriptors of everything I have to skip 30 seconds ahead a LOT. Also, throwing in so many flowery over-the-top words as the descriptors like your trying to convince the listener you're smart. It is as bad as listening to an A.L. Jackson book. Will not listen to this author again either. This book would probably only be 8 hours if all the necessary listed above were not in it.

So happy I gave this a try 😁😊😁

Student - Teacher trope is usually not my cup of tea. I don't really find that trope attractive. And I REALLY don't like a romance where there is an older woman and a younger man. Hate that more then anything. So finding a book that had both things I hate was a book you could've GUARANTEED I wasn't going to read.....

BUT THEN GIANA DARLING CAME OVER TO TEAR THOSE FEELINGS AWAY!!!

This book/audiobook was absolutely magic. I am extremely happy that I was able to get over my displeasure to at least try to read this book and Giana totally exceeded my expectations. the story was beautifully written and The chemistry and sex between the characters was totally incredible. the storyline was a page turner, and I totally recommend this 10 out of 10!!

I still kind of feel like student-teacher and older women / younger men still isn't my thing but Gianna Darling is everything and I will always read what she writes. 😏😘

King & Queenie

Loved this book!!! I actually read the second book 1st and loved it so much that I came back and BOUGHT the first book because I didn’t have any credits… Well worth the purchase. Now that I know Kings background, I am going to go back and listen to the second book again!! Ugh so in love with their love.

the heroine is annoyingly weak

It started with a bang, and ended with a bang. But I feel like the middle is filled with petty arguments arguments that stretched the story.

The heroine is so weak at times, it makes me sick.

Lessons in Corruption

This book was so good. The dialogue between Queenie and King is so funny and their relationship was definitely taboo. I really loved their interactions though. King is such a strong, possessive male and is obsessed with taking care of her. I really like that Queenie embraced Kings lifestyle eventually and grew into a character I really enjoyed. She embraced the unconventional family that is the Fallen. There were definitely hardships between her being his teacher and the fact that her husband wouldn’t leave her alone. I am just glad she eventually realized that King was the man for her and got over their taboo romance. I am all for girl power and her being a cougar. King, even though he is young has the heart and soul of someone way older.

I listened to the audio version of this book and I loved it. I wished it was multiple pov but I was happy with the book regardless.

If you need a good, fun loving, taboo, Mc romance then this book is for you!

I have fallen for The Fallen!

How have I waited so long to read this incredible teacher/student, age gap masterpiece?!

King Garro is the son of The Fallen MC President and still a HS student. Cressida is trying to find her new groove after leaving an awful marriage. With love at first sight and a pull that has these two inseparable a great love story unfolds.

This story is not without its trials and they definitely worked hard to get through them. What else can you expect from an MC but some wonderful rival drama! King does not seem like your typical biker nor HS student. He is smart as a whip and I loved that about his character and also that he is smokin hot. Cressida was groomed from a young age to act a certain way and it was great to go along on her journey of finding herself and become more independent. These two together were such a great love affair and even though King is a bad boy he is such a swoon worthy one!

Filth with a storyline

I never EVER reach for age gaps where the h is older than the H. I almost didn't finish once I realized what it was but I am so glad I did. Narration is awesome. Savannah does an excellent job doing male/female narration. Storyline was great. Filth was Grade A+++

I could go on for days....

I've never enjoyed age gaps when the woman is the older one, but Darling executed it so incredibly well with this, it's easily become one of my absolute favorite roms!

MMC genuinely came off as the more experienced adult as it pertained to relationships, sex, street smarts and confidence and while the FMC was less so in those areas, she was the more logical of the two and not so far removed from his level of maturity in those aspects of life that it seemed unrealistic.

Epic Love

Giana Darling never does anything the conventional way and Lessons in Corruption is a prime example. Not only does it not follow the standard age gap blueprint of an older guy with a younger girl. But it also completely destroys societal conventions and determinations of right and wrong.

Cress is a newly separated high school teacher that truly has never lived a real life. King on the other hand is a seventeen old high school student that defines living life to the fullest. These two together is perfect match. Cress is a character that you initially don’t know if you even like. But it’s King that reveals her true self through his actions and devotion to her.

The story is pure magic.

Great for a series refresh

I have previously read Lessons in Corruption on ebook so when the Audio released I was excited to have a relisten and a refresh. I have to admit I did enjoy the the story more on audio. Savannah Preachwood narrates the story portraying King & Cressida's age gap romance really well. I still felt a little lag in the story about 3/4 of the way through but it is a long book and having read the series before, I do know where it's heading.

I haven't listened to a solo narration piece in a while, so it was quite nice to get back to this kind of title and I thought it was a job well done. For any lovers of a student/teacher age gap romance with an MC baseline, this is the one for you.

Loved reading it, loved listening to it even more!

This was my first read by Giana Darling back in 2020 and listening to it on audio now only cemented my love for this couple - and this series in general. King and Queenie. OMG, I adore these two! And Savannah Peachwood, being one of my favorite female narrators, enhanced this beautiful, forbidden love story even more.

Here's my original review, which is still very much accurate:

I'm majorly swooning over an eighteen year-old man / boy, oh boy ...
Yeah, I definitely understand what all the fuss regarding The Fallen Men by Giana Darling is about.
OMG, seriously! King & Cress totally stole my heart!

Great narration and story

I absolutely love this novel and it has been one of my favorite books since I first read and to experience it now on audio is fantastic. I enjoyed the narration immensely and definitely found that it suited Cress.

+18 Dark MC Romance - reverse age gap, teacher-stu

- taboo: age-gap
- taboo: teacher-student (she is his teacher, he's 18, she's like 26)
- he is the prince to The Fallen MC (son of the Prez)
- they bond over their love of literature
(library scene!)
- close proximity

4/5🌶

I think the age-gap, teacher-student vibes would be a lot creepier, should Cress been some floosy but she's super innocent, and has a pretty tragic story of having been groomed and married off when she was 18 (no spoilers) and had King had a normal upbringing (the boy was a heart-throb at the age of 12 or something). Look, you've to read it to decide for yourself.

Romantic AF.
