Publisher's Summary

Virtual is reality.

What would the world be like if video game rules suddenly applied?

Marcus is about to find out. After a freak accident, he finds himself stuck between a game and the real world. He’ll need to fight his way through football hooligans, carnies, and the dreaded RNG to get to the final boss and save the world. Anything less means it’s game over for good.

Along the way, he’ll learn new skills, chase epic loot, and, most importantly of all, level up!

If you love light LitRPG, you'll be sure to enjoy this humorous take on the genre.

Not of the original LEVEL UP SERIES

DOESN'T COME CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL LEVEL UP SERIES BY THE RUSSIAN AUTHOR DAN SUGRALINOV. THE IDEA OR PLOT IS SOUND BUT THE EXECUTION FELL WAY SHORT. NOT A GOOD SPINOFF OF THE LEVEL UP SERIES.

Really good.

I really enjoyed this book. The main character is whiny, depressed, and can be annoying but that's the point, growing beyond what we are.
I'm excited to see what this author has planned for the future.

Can’t tell dialogue from narrative

The narrator had difficulty distinguishing a difference in speech between dialogue and narrative. I had trouble telling when a character stopped speaking and gave way to narrative because it was still being performed as conversational.
Loved some of Anderson’s phrases, like the mini-skirt/belt comparison. Great writing with everything paying off in satisfactory ways (even if the Black Ring story did have a predictable turn-out).

Totally enjoyed this book!

I just enjoyed this book all the way through. It was fun funny and interesting. I love rpgs that happen in the real world and this book is exactly that. I will be on board for the next one as long as it keeps the story interesting

Wow 2.3

You know that whiny guy in the corner Complaining about everything a type where The main character Is that guy Throughout this book he does nothing but complain Granted some of his complaints are valid Like his job But he still works for them so he can't complain too much I barely made it through this book It's not the worst but is definitely not the best They can even cuss in the game They have to use the Word fudge I Try to give all books some credit Specially on those weaker characters But the main character does even grow from his mistakes he keeps on making them I don't really want to ruin this book for everyone So I will not give any information set the character is horrible I'll be definitely returning this one

Excited for book 2

I really enjoyed it. It's a little slow at first, but it's a good story. Interesting twist in the epilogue I never saw coming. Definitely recommend!
