Mellow Phil?

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It's not so much about learning something new, as reminding you to follow your inner truth (you know, the one we all tend to run and hide from) Dr Phil in this audio book comes across a lot mellower than the rampant Dr Phil on TV.

A suitable motivational tool for those that have lost their path to fulfilling their goals, or simply those who need to begin with momentum.

It really hits home

Some truths so obvious that are under the radar screen but really make good sense. I wish I had understood these things years ago.

The Contemporary Bible of How to Enjoy Life

Would you listen to Life Strategies again? Why?

SURE, I have already listened to it three times. It is very enjoyable, utterly practical and every time you listen you absorb more.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sam Sausage in chapter 4 at the minute 49 of the reading because it made the point VERY Clear

What does Phil McGraw bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His animated tone of voice made me "LIVE" all his stories

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, I was speechless at times to discover simple facts that I had never learned. One of them is Life Law number 8 "We teach people how to treat us" WOW.

Any additional comments?

I have recommended the book to 6 of my friends and they all bought the Audio Book and even recommended it to other friends. No wonder it sold more than 2 Million copies. My circle of friends rather prefer Audio Books.

Love This Book

This guy knows his stuff. I go back and read it whenever I need a boost. He is pragmatic, grounded and has a way with words. I even went out and bought the book (paperback) which I hardly ever do.

My best friend

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

YES!!! He gets it, and he puts it in plain English so we all can get it too.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Life Strategies?

Somewhere around chapter 10, the light came on for me. I started seeing the mistakes I have made in life and why. Once I was able to see my own patterns, I was then able to start making changes in my life.

What does Phil McGraw bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His voice. It is sort of like my own personal sessions with him. It is like he is talking directly to you.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

You either get IT or you don't

Step One If You're Serious About Progress

I bought this book in 1999 when I had destroyed my life by not thinking things through before I did them. Enthusiasm and talent are unfortunately not enough to make it in our world and my naivete allowed sharks and charlatans to swindle me out of my hard earned cash and progress. Also I had an enormous emotional "engine" that needed feeding minute by minute.
This book changed that forever.
Dr Phil may have a lot of gumph said about him but I can 100% vouch for the sense, intelligence, value and practicality of what the man has to say. If you read this book; and do what he asks you to do seriously.... YOU WILL SUCCEED. It really IS that simple. This program is a first step... and will get you through the first 6 months as you divest yourself of crappy beliefs and airy fairy ideas sold to you by nutcases. After that (If you follow his life laws) you will amaze yourself and everyone you know. Deepak's 7 Spiritual Laws are unfortunately impractical... as are Stephen Covey's 7 habits. They sound good.... but you don't get measurable results. THIS GUY GIVES YOU RESULTS.

If you are serious about success, if you are fed up of waiting for the "universe" to provide you with money "in ever increasing amounts..." buy this book. The best ?10 I ever spent.

P.S I went from a bus pass to new Ferrari within 2 years.

Funny practical realistic and relevant.

I was first introduced to this book in the late 90's by my sister. Since then I have owned and given away several copies. Now I have made it a permanent feature of my Audible book library. I use the materials for my self as a way of checking my progress and noticing any poor life habits which I may be developing. In addition I use the book as a resource in my practice as a therapist. It's solid well founded and usable by anyone who is ready to make change

Disappointed

Thought it would be better and more specific and give more details that make theory easily convert to practice.
