I couldn't finish it... It was that painful

What did you like best about LinkedIn Riches? What did you like least?

There was not one unique thought in this entire book. The author, while probably likable in person, is highly unfit to narrate his own material. It sounds like it was recorded in the bathroom and he ends every sentence with "Right!" and then this obnoxious laugh as though he's made the most profound statement every spoken. I don't buy books to here someone else's impressions of Yoda and Bill Clinton. It's bad folks... very bad.

What could John Nemo have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Cut to the point, save the grandstanding, and lose the jokes.

Would you be willing to try another one of John Nemo’s performances?

Best book on how to get better results f/ LinkedIn

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

John Nemo understands how LinkedIn works and explains how to get a huge return on your investment of time. I have spent hundreds of hours on LinkedIn over the years. After reading the first few chapters I was immediately more productive and I started to get results in a few days. I got connected with people I thought would never connect with me. I bought 2 other books about LinkedIn before this one. LinkedIn Riches is so much better and so much more helpful.

What other book might you compare LinkedIn Riches to and why?

It's a great How To book. It's in the same category as Linchpin, Start With Why, To Sell is Human and The Power of Habit.

What does John Nemo bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

John is quite an energetic character. You would never have gotten that in a book. John is very entertaining and keeps your interest.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

His approach on refocusing your profile and connecting with people through groups.

Writer has obnoxious sense of humor

What did you like best about LinkedIn Riches? What did you like least?

Much useful info ,but the presentation was hugely marred by the author's intrusive remarks which he obviously thought were humorous. I found myself so irritated with having to wait for his attacks of "humor" to subside so that he could continue with the text. Sometimes his asides were quite lengthy and I found myself resentful.

What did you like best about this story?

There was much useful information here and it deserved to have a better presentation

Would you be willing to try another one of John Nemo’s performances?

Very reluctantly. I would probably try another author in the same topic before shelving out money to be almost abused by the author.

Audible needs to vet its contributors more carefully.

John makes getting started with LinkedIn easy

I’ve been putting off developing my LinkedIn thinking it was going to be a chore. After listening to John’s book, and simultaneously enjoying a stroll through the 80s, I’m now equipped to move forward with confident expectation. Thanks, John.

Great information

At the end of this book is where all the great information is given. The author is very authentic and humorous. I got a lot of gold nuggets for LinkedIn Strategy, I ended up making my profile the same outline that he recommended.

In 2022 MOST of the info is outdated but....

So it dawned on me that I never looked at the date prior to purchasing. I listed pros and cons because some of the info is still relevant today:

Cons first

LinkedIn functions much better than it did in 2014 when this book was released.

Most of the Info shared is no longer relevant (i.e. using emjois, LinkedIn functions)

He pitches his coaching throughout the whole book and tells long winded stories. Not necessarily a "bad" thing, I'm sure this is how he gets his high ticket clients. Remember, this is 2014 when this was really popular to do.

PROS last

You can still utilize some of the marketing strategies

You can still use the profile strategies

He gives sound advice for people just getting started (common sense stuff for seasoned professionals)

Keep in mind, he was well ahead of his time in 2014....The info is still helpful for today's new entrepreneurs. If you've been in business for awhile try a more updated/advanced book.

I rated it 4 stars because it's still a strong book for something written 8 years ago. I only knocked a star because it's not very applicable to LinkedIn today with all the advances made on the site.

Never bring religion into sales

Started talking about Jesus and I immediately had to turn it off. Waste of a credit. Never again will I buy a book of yours Nemo .

Friendly, funny and to the point!

I wanna have a beer with John Nemo! The book held my attention and had good, practical and applicable advice. Not hyperbole and outlandish claims, but advice on how to engage and start relationships with you niche customer. These principles could work on any platform, not just LinkedIn.

Nemo is obnoxious!

I'm not sure why this book has such a high rating? This guy is so obnoxious. The constant giggling, the ongoing 80's references and long winded story telling. This book could have easily been 90 minutes and probably would have made a better audio book had it been shorter. He's redundant and the information is the same ole. Ironic he mentions in the audio that a LinkedIn profile isn't about you I wished he applied that knowledge to his audio book.

Lots of useful insights

I like John Nemo's style. I find him engaging, often humorous and he gives real "meat and potatoes" instead of fluff. If you're interested in LinkedIn marketing and LinkedIn lead generation, give it a listen.

For beginners and probably non beginners

Would you listen to LinkedIn Riches again? Why?

Definitely Yes! because there are a lot of gold tips and also has been made with lot of fun to entertain the listener

fantastic audio book, really worth a listen

Where does LinkedIn Riches rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This audio book is a fantastic listen and goes straight into the points about LinkedIn. If you are serious about leveraging LinkedIn properly, then you should read it. Im a CEO of a tech company and currently building my sales organisation. I will be getting all my sales staff to listen to it.
