Mark Dawson’s Group Fifteen Files. Quick, lightning-paced action from the first minute to the last.

Bjorn Thorsson joined the Special Air Service to forget the horrors of his childhood. He killed for Queen and country, and he was good at it. He quits the army and settles down, looking for a quieter life. When his beautiful sister, Gudrun, finds herself in trouble with the owner of a hedge fund, Bjorn promises to get her out of danger. But there’s another factor in play.

Group Fifteen, a clandestine government agency, has plans for the financier, and Bjorn is in their way. Bjorn must outwit the Group in the streets of London and in the Highlands of Scotland if he is to protect his sister and survive.

like the other books, the story is brought to life

I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the writer's technique for character points of view. I recommend it!

This audiobook short story series is a rip off!

$8.39 is a grossly excessive price for even an excellent short story. I've purchased three in this series but I'm now through with it. I'll likely borrow Kindle versions in the future if they continue to be included at no additional cost with Kindle Unlimited.

Good Divergent Story

This was a good divergent story. It is indeed in the vain of Group 15, but really takes a turn all it’s own. I enjoyed it, but I wish the story had been longer. Happy listening (or reading).

I like how the author is creating the back stories for each character. Exciting but Believable.

Needs depth to story

seemed very superficial. Nice job of introducing future character. seemed like story was missing or lacking depth in story.

Looking foreword to more.

A nice too short story. I thought the narration was above average and look forward to more from this author.

Are you in, Sargeant Thorsson?

Bjorn Thorsson is a former SAS operator. He retired and spends a quiet life teaching Icelandic languages at the University. His younger half-sister Gudrun loves the University is free-spirited and loves to have fun. Her roommate, Olian is Russian-born and has no money problems. The two of them joined up with Finley, the head of a hedge fund, and his partner Jessie. When you work for Finley, if you fail in your trading, you tend to disappear. Olian has come to Bjorn to warn him that Gudrun is in trouble. Bjorn wanted to take Gudrun away from Finley but she resisted. Unknown to all, Group 3 had Finley under surveillance. Political dealings brought Group 15 into the picture. Bjorn, Gudrun, and Olian are in the middle of a covert operation, and in the way. The characters are interesting and realistic, the plot could be from today’s headlines.

Fun series

Ib didn’t expect much but I had a blast listening to this for book series. I hope there are more coming. The stories have laid the ground with for a fun set of books. Week narrated, too.

Disappointed

This is probably the worst book from Mark Dawson. I’m going to look for another author to read.

Very good and action packed

This book was very different, but still has lots of action. I highly recommend this short story that packs a huge punch.

Short

Pre Milton, I did find it a bit confusing towards the end perhaps it would have made more sense if the author made it a bit longer without all the waffle.

Enjoyable tale but too short !!

I always enjoy these books and the way they are narrated. This book has some dodgy accents and is too short ! I do enjoy the way the author cross matches characters and guess there is potential for further use of the main character but he is very dour and will need to come out a little.

Good story

Good story well written and technically accurate regarding firearms.
Pity the narrator isn't, abysmal pronunciation of technical terms, and needs to remember that Scottish highlanders do not talk with the
west of Scotland accent.
A good tale spoiled by his aggravating inaccuracies.

Good story, bad narrator

I like Mark Dawson’s work, but Thorpe isn’t a great narrator. Uses completely the wrong intonation at the wrong time and his accents aren’t the best. Hoping Dawson finds a better narrator soon.

excellent narrator

The story itself was very simplistic and quite average. The Narration, however, was excellent and lifted the content.

mediocre

the plot was OK.
the narration was OK.
I don't really know what else to say about this one- it was just OK. nothing terribly bad but nothing terribly good either.
