Least Favorite of all Ananda M Lee.

Not my favorite series by this author (though I love nearly everything else by this author). It doesn’t help when they change narrators during a series. You go from a vibrant teenager/young 20s character to just 5 years later she turns into a chain smoking gravelly voiced 27 year old.

Totally inappropriate choice of narrator

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I don't know if the books are good bc I could not stand the choice of narrator. It's not that she was bad, it that she is reading a book that is totally inappropriate for her voice. Its from a characters in her late 20s but the narrotor sounds like she is 65+.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

different narrator

How did the narrator detract from the book?

It sound like it was being read by an out of breath elderly women

Any additional comments?

Maybe I will get these books to READ since I cannot with the chosen narrator.

Poor naration

It was a huge mistake to switch narrators. The voice and quality of the production was a huge disappointment in comparison to the Covenant College series. I will not get the rest of this series

I’m so disappointed

I listen to the covenant college series and fell in love with the narrator. The narrator for this is horrible. It’s like she’s trying to sound low and sexy. But all i get is sinus infection and airiness I couldn’t even continue with the story after the first chapter

Beware Narration Has A lot To Be Desired after Angel Clark

Aaron Deward is the worst narrator. After listening to the first series of Covenant College which was narrated by Angel Clark. To bad she could not have read the rest. Aaron’s voice and her attempt at different voices was flat. Stories were not as exciting. My opinion

What happened to Eric!!!

I know this series is YA and I am well past that but loved the first 3 books, but what happened in books 4-6. Eric has become this pathetic little lapdog who does nothing but say i love you to Zoe and run around her every wish. The author totally killed his character and Zoe has become a snipey pretentious brat, not an emerging mage. Amanda I cannot work out if you started to hate these characters whist finishing the series and this came out in your writing or something else very weird. If I had not bought the box set 4-6 I would never have bought books 5 & 6, which is a real shame a loved the first 3 :(

Underwhelming.

not as good as the first series, I didn't like that there was a different narrator than the first series; she doesn't have as many voice variations. I found each book a bit anticlimactic. overall, I enjoyed the continuation of the story and was able to move past my issues with it.

Author issues

I found speaking up the audio by 10% really helped the issues I was having with the narration.

Average story, below average narrator

The fake, I'm trying to be sexy voice takes away from the story. The other narrator was much better from the first trilogy.

The last book is disappointing

Would you listen to Living Covenant: The Complete Series again? Why?

I would possibly listen to this series again, but I might fast-forward past the first 18 chapters of the final book.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Revisiting the their Covenant College after 5 years being referred to as "old" by the students.

Any additional comments?

The last book is disappointing as the first eighteen chapers or so are like a bad wedding-obsessed sit-com full of pointless cliched mother-taking-over-wedding-plans scenes that seem to just be there as filler to make the book long enough to count as a book. Once they got all that out of the way the actual meat of the story was OK.

Living Covenant: The Complete Series

This is a cooling three books best on Zoe and Eric's life five years after they left college. Each book has a challenge for Zoe to over come and helps her better use her magic. With the love banter between them they drive those around them crazy while making this a fun series. Read brilliantly by Erin DeWard.

Fantastic Series of Books!!

I honestly don't know how many words can express my feelings about these books and this author. I downloaded the first series of these 5 books on audiobook and when I saw it was 36 hours I was dubious about it. I started on 26 March 2021 and I can quite happily say that every night and every opportunity I have had, I have listened and got completely hooked on the books, the plots and the characters!!! As soon as I started to get engrossed in this, I started researching and found out there was this trilogy (25 hours) which continues when they leave college. That was downloaded as well. All in all there is over 61 hours of fantastic writing from an extremely talented author. I LOVED EVERY SINGLE PART OF IT. There were not any moments of the plot dragging, I didn't get bored once and that is astonishing when you think of 61 hours!!! Do not hesitate for one second to read/listen to these books. They deliver on every single level.

Please write more in this series!!!!

As good as the first trilogy

If you thought the first narrator sounded a little squeaky and juvenile, have no fear... this book is read by a new narrator and we have swapped juvenile for geriatric!
It spoiled the enjoyment of these books and was pretty grating... I didn't really get used to it until mid way through book 3 but there were still times when I had to remind myself that the characters were in their 30's and not their 90's.
I found it also very unrealistic that a character as strong as Zoe would allow anyone to manipulate and disrespect her the way she does in these books, but then with out that story line I guess there wouldn't be much else to write about.
I'm looking forward to the next installment, and praying it's read by a better narrator.

wasn't the same as the original books

I found it annoying that the old narrator wasn't used as the new voice didn't appeal to me. It's annoying how he calls her 'trouble' all the time and what is with all unnecessary foreplay talk and sex talk. If you're gonna talk about them wanting to have sex all the time at least make it interesting instead of creepy and annoying, or better still put some actual sex in it!!!

Love the story

I do love the story and like Zoe lake although from listening to covenant college to this I know that the characters are older and should reflect that in the narration but I’m not imagining a person in there 30s but a person in there 60s. Suitable for Zoe’s mother but not the main character. Other than that I like the stories and think I’ll stick to reading kindle on these stories.
