Story
Have you been bit by the RV bug? Do you spend hours reading blogs on living the RV life, blogs that go on and on about a life of freedom and travel? Do you go to RV shows and wander through the huge homes on wheels, dreaming that you're steering one of the huge beasts to wherever your heart desires? Sunny has been RVing since she was a kid, and she'll show you how to assess if the nomadic lifestyle is for you in an unbiased and educated manner, balancing the pros and the cons. She does this by walking you through the most common steps in the RV life.

Boondocking literally means to "dock" in the "boonies," camping on your own off the grid away from campgrounds, free to howl at the moon, run around in your BVDs, or just read your book in peace and quiet with no one around. But boondocking also means you're on your own, and you'll want to go prepared. Here, Sunny Skye gives you the basics you'll need to know, things like the best rig to have, being independent, coping with boredom and loneliness, as well as dealing with insects, wild animals, and pests.

Everyone’s financial situation is different. Whatever may fit your budget may not fit mine and vice versa, keeping that in mind I wrote this book for those who want to enjoy the freedom of the open road but on a reasonable budget. If you are like me and live off of a limited monthly income; then you may enjoy what you find in this book. Even though I didn’t discuss how to find free foods or soup kitchens in different cities, I did discuss how to find a lot of everyday needs while RVing for cheap and sometimes free.

Written by a woman but narrated by a man
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Yes, Have a woman narrator. It really makes a difference to me when listening to an audible book to have the same gender as narrator.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Living the Simple RV Life?
When I found out at the end that this was written by a woman. I did not know who Sunny Skye was, I just listened to the book.
Did Richard Henzel do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Yes however his voice reminds me of films I use to watch in class in public school. I almost did not continue to listen to the book because of this. Made the book more of a textbook instruction than a "story".
Do you think Living the Simple RV Life needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Not sure.
Any additional comments?
The book covered most ins and outs when thinking of full time RVing. It was written well enough, But the narrator was not a good match and gave it a lessor good feeling for me.
