Publisher's Summary
In the first book in a thrilling new series, FBI Special Agent Meg Jennings and Hawk, her loyal search-and-rescue Labrador, must race against time as they zero in on one of the deadliest killers in the country....
Meg and Hawk are part of the FBI's elite K-9 unit. Hawk can sniff out bodies anywhere - living or dead - whether it's tracking a criminal or finding a missing person. When a bomb rips apart a government building on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., it takes all of the team's extensive search-and-rescue training to locate and save the workers and visitors buried beneath the rubble.
But even as the duo are hailed as heroes, a mad bomber remains at large, striking terror across the Eastern seaboard in a ruthless pursuit of retribution. As more bombs are detonated and the body count escalates, Meg and Hawk are brought in to a task force dedicated to stopping the unseen killer. But when the attacks spiral wide and any number of locations could be the next target, it will come down to a battle of wits and survival skills between Meg, Hawk, and the bomber they're tracking to rescue a nation from the brink of chaos.

"On The Hunt"
Would you listen to Lone Wolf again? Why?
This was an adventure and a start to a series, if author can make the chase more dramatic, and have our K-9 sweethearts be even more of the lead, and this is not easy to do. The 2 male leads will be interesting to watch. Our ace reporter, and our firefighter hunk. Both men are YUM in there own way.
Check out Robert Crais's Suspect for a great K-9 experience.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Meg's male partner, Brian, and of course all the dogs. I love all those wet noses, and their big K-9 hearts.
What does Angela Dawe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Ms Dawe is a fave of mine, I own 100 of her reads, and purchased this author due to Ms Dawe as the reader. She has improved her pace, pauses, and cadences 100 %. She has a great male voice and lends character to minor roles. Check out Ann Wilson's Hover, fantastic!
note: I do use the new 1.25x speed to match the author's intent.

Hawk and Megan are an awesome team!
This story was riveting! Learning about Hawk ad how he came to be. Search and Rescue FBI dog and “running” alongside him as he searched for perps was very enlightening as to the amount of training it must have taken. Searching for victims after a bombing was heart wrenching. Very good book and. great listen. .

DRY
Would you try another book from Sara Driscoll and/or Angela Dawe?
No
Has Lone Wolf turned you off from other books in this genre?
No, have read other authors accounts of search and rescue K-9's and enjoyed them
Any additional comments?
I'll pass on this series. Just too dry. Character development was sketchy at best. Read like a S.O.P manual for dog handlers. Wonder Woman with a Dog.
