Publisher's Summary
Supernatural collides with Mortal Instruments and Vampire Diaries.
Busy collecting prayers, on top of watching over the Archangels, it's another day for Jude Thaddeus to prove his perfection to Father God. He intends to uphold his impeccable record and become an Archangel. Nothing must come between him and his desire. Except...after years of planning, Lucifer has discovered a means to kill his siblings, the Archangels. It’s a perfect plan. One he’s sure Jude will not see coming. Neither will the Archangels who’ve now become complacent, self-righteous, judgmental, and arrogant.
The battle begins when Ava, the woman chosen to veil the Sacred City of Ashbourne, cries out for help.
Everyone has a plan, a need, or a desire, except they forget the one plan that matters most - God’s. The outcome is shocking, one that triggers a never-ending battle and unveils a love story like no other.
Revenge. Resentment. Betrayal. None is more unbearable than the agony of love.

Interesting Story
I was really not sure if I was going to like this or not. I ended up listening to the entire book in one sitting. It was super enjoyable. The characters and the story line are both awesome. I have not read anything else by this author but I will be picking up the first book in the series once it is available (since this was the prequel.)
Gary Bennett has an amazing voice and I hope to hear more from him in the future. I think is voice was well chosen for this book.

This looks to be the beginning of a very interesting series. The author gives a very unique take on angels, even to the point of giving them "human" characteristics. The read is very entertaining with its twists and turns and story of betrayal. I definitely recommend this work to you.

Interesting Take on Angels
Lost Angels is the prequel to the Lost Archangels series by Tatenda Creed. This story presents many common ideas of angels, but also new ones, to me at any rate - angels can talk to you more easily near water, they are weighed down by our prayers and despair, their actions are dictated by their purpose provided by God, and they can be childish and arrogant.
This book sets up why the Archangels are missing through a plot by Lucifer and his son Matthias as well as the Archangels' mother's plan to get them back. The main character, the watcher Jude Thaddeus has a plan for his own future, and Mathias has a plan separate from his father. Everyone seems to have a plan, without regard for God the Father's plan. It was full of watchers, angels, and demons and touches upon vampires and reincarnation. The rest of the series will be about the finding of the archangels, and I'm assuming their love interests.
Though this book started out a little slow, it did get interesting and I look forward to seeing how the full books in the series turn out. The narrator, Gary Bennett, was a great narrator for this book. He had a range of styles for the different characters, and his voice just sounded as I would expect from an angel.

Biblical Mashup?
This book is a mashup of archangels and Devil and his minions, biblical references and made-up biblical-like stories, reincarnation and even some vampires!?! And, did you know that you can hear an angel talking to you better if you're close to water?!? I struggled but listened to the entire book, which ended in a cliff-hanger... Oh Dear God!

Lost Angels, Surprisingly Good Novel!
It has been quite some time that I've read or listened to a book where the main characters are all angels. I wouldn't usually pick up this genre of book and I must say that I've been pleasantly surprised by this prequel. So much so, that I plan to continue with the series. I was concerned at the beginning of the story as I found the angels' bickering rather childish and felt that the story could have moved a bit faster. However, Lucifer entered the picture with his unholy scheme, and the pace with the action increased enough to capture my attention. The Archangel 's watcher, Jude Thadeus, has had his hands full trying to keep the Archangels out of trouble but they've often ignored his warnings with dire consequences that have affected the current love of their lives. Lucifer, who has been thrown out of heaven by his Father, plots the ultimate revenge, despite the fact that his Mother has cared well for him and provided him with a beautiful piece of countryside. Everyone seems to have a plan, but they have all forgotten one key component. How will their Father react to all this chicanery, when he has been warning them about their behavior. The storyline in this prequel provides the reader/listener with clues to what lies ahead in the series. Paranormals, vampires, and of course Lucifer will continue to interfere with Jude Thadeus' progress in reuniting the Archangels. This is sure to be a very interesting series. My only negative comment is the prequel ends with a 'cliffhanger' which is one of my pet peeves since too many authors use this technique to force readers into buying sequels to obtain the end of a story. Since this novel is a prequel, I'm hoping that this will be the only cliffhanger utilized. For those who enjoy audiobooks, Gary Bennet, the narrator, provides a very good performance throughout this novel. He has a range of vocal characterizations that help the listener differentiate between the Angels which helps to visualize the novel as you listen. I'm looking forward to hearing more of his storytelling as the series continues.
I received a complementary copy of this audiobook at my request, from StoryOrigin in exchange for an honest review. I am not related nor friends with this author. The opinions expressed in this review are fully mine unless identified as that of another person.
