Publisher's Summary

"Amazing! One of the twistiest time-tales I've ever read..."—Diana Gabaldon

"Crichtonesque thrillers don't come much better than this intricate outing which combines a fantastic premise... with a closed-circle whodunit. Readers won't be able to turn the pages fast enough."—Publishers Weekly—Starred Review

From the worldwide bestselling author of The Extinction Trials, Departure, and The Atlantis Gene comes a new kind of sci-fi thriller: a time-travel murder mystery with a twist you'll never see coming.

Control the Past. Save the Future.

Dr. Sam Anderson is one of the most celebrated scientists in history. Ten years ago, he invented a device that changed the world forever. Now his life is about to be ripped apart—and his own creation may be to blame.

One fateful morning, Sam discovers that his girlfriend has been murdered and that his daughter is accused of the crime.

Sam believes she's innocent, but he can't prove it. There's only one thing he can do to save his daughter: confess to the crime. And so he does.

But in the future, murderers aren't sent to prison. They're sent to the past.

Thanks to Sam's invention–Absolom–the world's worst criminals are exiled forever, sent back to the time of the dinosaurs, where they live out their lives alone.

As Sam steps into the Absolom chamber to leave for the Late Triassic, he makes a promise: he will get back to his family, clear his name, and find the person who killed the woman he loved.

What Sam doesn't know is that there's a secret waiting for him in the past. And it might be his only hope of saving himself and his family.

Sam isn't the only one seeking justice. In the present, his daughter, Adeline, also embarks on a mission to find the person who framed her and tore her family apart. She's already lost her mother. She can't bear losing her father too.

As Adeline peels back the layers of the conspiracy against her family, she uncovers more questions than answers. Everyone around her is hiding a secret, including her legal guardian. And some people aren't what they seem.

Adeline soon finds herself in the midst of a mystery that stretches across the past, present, and future—and leads to a revelation that will change everything.

Lost in Time is more than a murder mystery about advanced technology and time travel. It's a heartwarming story about family and the lengths we might go to in order to save the ones we love—with a twist that will have you questioning everything you thought you knew since the first moment.

Much forgiveness needed to enjoy. I’m into forgiveness and enjoyment!

If you’re a lawyer or law enforcement pretend law enforcement procedures have changed radically in Nevada or gloss over the first few chapters altogether. If you are a forensic pathologist, imbibe to excess before reading the parts dealing with cause of death. If you are a theoretical physicist double that amount. If you’re involved with political lobbying, dream about the cash cow the Absalom project would be. If you are an ethicist, take nitroglycerin before reading. If you are in ethics and compliance, double the nitro and add Valium.
The narrative flows well and the book kept me engaged to the end. Riddle and Shelley team up to produce a great audiobook.

One of the best time travel stories I’ve ever read

This book has it all. If you liked Recursion by Blake Crouch you will love this book. I’m not someone that typically makes reviews but this book is that good. It’s one hell of a ride that has twists you’ll never even conceptualize as being a possibility. I envy all that read this that haven’t yet read this book. It’s THAT good, buckle up butter cup. Kansas is going bye bye.

My guy AG Riddle did it again with this masterpiece!
Love the way he makes the near future feel so close that you can really relate to the characters. I won't say much more because I don't wanna ruin it for anyone.

A.G. Riddle does it again!

it's sad when you come to the end of a great story and want more. that's what you get with the story and you'll love the way Mr. Riddle engages and twists you in time.

Story is a little complicated.

Not getting the “can’t change the past” yet MC can find pictures of her in past therefore able to travel back to those times. It’s confusing. A good basis for the story but it just doesn’t iron all the wrinkles on how it could happen.

Great audiobook

A great audio book requires not just a good story, but also a good storyteller. This was very well done on both parts.

Very cool

Ok this was a pretty cool story. Basic time travel with some heart. I found it a good departure from my normal sci-fi genre, planet ending aliens and World building stories. the narration was good and the characters were pretty solid.

My First Full Review in Ages

As my title says, my first review in ages because I have enjoyed this book so much. Took me a while to get into it but then I couldn’t stop listening. Very clever with likeable characters, time travel with a purpose plus a good narrator. A good satisfying ending. Highly recommended.

Your next audio book listen is here!

Great story all the way to the end. I never saw some of the plot twists and turns coming. This is the first book in a very long time i have had to just sit and listen to the last 3 hours as i was soo envested in hearing how it ended. I have listened to all of A G Riddles books and this one smashed it out of the park. I dont want to give anything away and dont often feel compelled to write a review but make this your next listen!

Fantastic story, shame about the narrator

Fantastic story, shame about about the narrator.

The narrator was very stilted and expressionless at many places throughout throughout the book. Making what turned out to be a fantastic story tedious to get through at times
