Skip the audio version.

The material is good. However the narration suffers and there is frequent background noise. It sounds more like a recorded speech or talk than an audiobook. I found the audio version difficult. I’d recommend the written/physical version.

Nice effort, worth refining...

The message and intention of this book is wonderful. The telling of the story of Jesus here on earth from a more human engaging with humans in a practical way is worth telling. Miller weaves a wonderful portrayal of Jesus in this light.

I have used this book and the associated 'Person of Jesus' Bible Study materail with my adult education class for the last 8 months. It has been a surprisingly wonderful enlightening journey.

However, the writing is a bit simple and light.

The narration is rather poor. The recording is weak, where you can easily here page turns and many uncorrected errors in the narrator's reading of his own work.

Hopefully, it will be worth having a professional narrator one day record a cleaner version.

The good news, the performance did not substantially take away from the message.

A Good Story

It was a good story line but the narration could have been better. A lot of mistakes.

Please change Narrator

As far as audio goes, this would book would be 10 times better if they chose the same narrator that narrated a couple of this author’s other books (A Loving Life, and A Praying Life).
This is a great author, but he is a very poor narrator at best.
this book would be five stars - in my opinion - if they used the referred to narrator instead.

Refreshing

Although I know Jesus personally, I really value the authenticity of Paul’s ability to clarify the deep urge to become like Jesus, to love like Jesus, to walk with Hope and to allow His character to shape us! I am thankful for this new insight and guidance!

As a pastor I found myself moved to tears...

I encountered Jesus in new ways through this book. the author reads it himself and the performance is not great from a professional quality perspective but I loved it because it wasn't flawless. i listened to this book in two sittings and found myself overwhelmed by the love of Jesus and was left with a deeper desire for Him, for His presence.

Very good content, sadly not read very well.

What made the experience of listening to Love Walked Among Us the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the fact that Paul Miller goes through so many stories about Jesus and how Jesus showed his love to mankind in so many different but profound ways.

What didn’t you like about Paul E. Miller’s performance?

The book is well written, with some very helpful and different ways of seeing how Jesus loved and lived among people who didn't understand him, or love him back in the same way.

Any additional comments?

Nothing wrong with the content of this book. In fact I thoroughly enjoyed it. But sadly, Paul Miller's performance of reading his own book was very poor. it doesn't flow well, doesn't sound like someone talking to you, he tries to rush what he's reading, and makes many mistakes, which got annoying, especially as they could well have been taken out during the editing process of recording this audiobook.
Read the book, but read it yourself.
