Story
The star quarterback dating a theater geek like me? As if anyone would believe that. If Brian Kirkland is the reigning king of the jocks, I guess that makes me the queen of the drama department. Hard to believe we were ever best friends. These days we go to great lengths to ignore one another. But when Brian's current diva girlfriend convinces him to try out for my play, there's no way to avoid him. I try to keep it professional, but years of anger and resentment are hard to dismiss. It doesn't help that he's just as cocky as I remember.

Fake. That's what we are. That's what we agreed to be. So why does it feel so real? I thought it would have been harder, convincing everyone our school's star receiver was mine and mine alone, but I was wrong. We played our parts so well that the lines between us began to blur until they disappeared completely. The thing about pretending, though, is that someone's always better at it, and by the time I realized my mistake, there was no going back.

No kissing. No cuddling. No blah, blah, blah. He wrote the rules onto our skin - every ink stroke tragically smeared by the lines we’d crossed. He claimed it was the only way we could be together - the only way we wouldn’t destroy our families. But there was an exception to his rules - one he never saw coming. All I needed was opportunity and a sunburn. The girl who played by his rules is gone. This girl...is not his “friend”.

So much for senior year being the best part of high school. It all started when I caught my boyfriend cheating on me. I did what any girl would do - I got revenge. Of course, it didn’t stop there. Thanks to a condemning video, I also got eight weeks of community service and athletic probation right before basketball season is supposed to start. (There goes my spot as captain!) Thankfully, there’s a guy at Marlowe Junction’s Helping Hands who makes passing the time more enjoyable.

Even though I’m around hot football players every afternoon, they are not allowed to date me. If they even come close to flirting, my dad, Coach “The Boss” Davis, makes them run laps around the field until they puke. Not only has he forbidden me to date anyone at all, he’s even made me the football team’s water girl so he can keep tabs on me. What Dad doesn’t know is that I spend every last second of those two blissful hours of practice in the scorching California heat staring at Tyson Blake. He is the epitome of perfection. Publisher's Summary
Band Geek vs. Quarterback....
One humiliating photo, a stupid prank, and a hashtag that goes viral. That's how my senior year goes from predictable to absurd in a heartbeat. This year is supposed to be easy. I've finally scored first chair in band, my college applications are done, and all my friends and I have to do is survive one more year of high school before our real lives can begin. Instead, I find myself in trouble with the principal, humiliated in front of the entire school, and fighting with my neighbor - AKA star quarterback, Prince Charming, and nicest guy on the planet.
And that's just on the first day back at school. Trust me, it only gets worse from there. As #GeeksGoneWild trends on social media, my friends and I are the targets of an online witch hunt. But they've picked on the wrong people and retaliation is severe. As the tension escalates, it soon becomes clear that someone needs to step up and put an end to this nonsense. If that means playing nice with the quarterback, I guess that's what I have to do. Now if someone could please tell my heart that this new friendship is just for show. And the kisses...oh, the kisses. Someone please remind me that they don't mean a thing.

Fabulous!!!!
Even though I am in my late 20's, I related so much to this story! Margo was me in high school, first chair clarinet, total band geek and proud, not interacting much with the popular kids. I felt to a large degree I was Margo while listening. I also enjoyed Jason the quarterback. We did not have a football team, so I could not relate fully, but I did enjoy these two characters and their interactions with each other! I cannot wait to listen to more in this series! I also think I have found a new favourite YA Contemporary authour!
I loved the male/female narration! I always ffind that it adds so much to sharing the story with listeners. Lauren Fortgang and Michael David Axtell both have very, very clear voices and both did a fabulous job with voices and emotion! I would easily listen to either of them again!
I loved this story so much and it will be enjoyed and listed several more times.
I received a copy of this audiobook at my request, and I have voluntarily left this review.

Geeks vs jocks and finding love
This is a coming of age story where we see how high school students manage the whole geek versus jock that we all go through in school. Either you are part of the geek crowd or the jocks and cheerleaders. In this case our Margo is definitely in the geek squad and her love from afar is the quarterback of the football team. Jason is not only the head jock but he is also nice and when things get heated between the two groups he must decide who he wants to stand with. This book shows us that there are always two sides to the story and even though typically the geeks get picked on they can also dish it out so one wrong can turn into two wrongs and hopefully people will grow in the process.
Lauren Fortgang and Michael David Axtell were the narrators of this book and they did a great job. I enjoyed listening to them.

Fun read
This was a fun, fairly lighthearted story. It does deal with the issue of not fitting in and being part of that popular crowd but also of knowing who you are and being okay with that. Margo had a close set of friends so she didn’t have that problem but some of the other popular kids were jerks and started crap with the geeks. I loved the interplay between characters as they dealt with what was going on. Neither Margo nor Jason agreed with what was happening and didn’t want it to continue to escalate so they started working together to try and find peace for the school. The narrators were great! You could hear the emotion in their voice as they dealt with things and when talking to each other. It really brought the story to life and added that extra dynamic. This wasn’t the best read for me as some things just took longer than I thought they would for the length of the story. I wish that we had gotten more direct interaction between Margo and Jason but still a good and entertaining read. Will be continuing the series for sure.

What I wanna know is, WHO submitted that picture?!
I love how things happen because of accidents. Whoever swapped the photos set in motion a chain of events that lead to two estranged childhood friends (the boy and the girl next door) to re-connect after a few years of cordiality from a distance. Oh, to be a teenager again, with all the high school angst and drama!
I'm really glad that the most popular people weren't actually the mean ones. This is a nice change from the usual dark romances I love to read about with the rich, alpha jerks and their innocent, pretty outcasts. We get to hear both Jason's and Margo's point of views; it's so sweet when he realizes he's falling for the band geek! Shout out goes to Luke for being the star of every scene he's in. I'm elated to discover that he's featured in the next book!
But I digress... if you're in the mood for some clean, heart-warming YA romance, you're always in good hands with a Maggie Dallen story! The narrators did a great job too. Lauren even sounded like one of my other favourite narrators: Tavia Gilbert. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

What's not to love
I’ll admit that I read this series out of order and ended up starting with book 3. You can read them as stand-alone novels, but the characters overlap so if you’re planning on reading all three (as you should) I recommend starting with book 1. As always Maggie Dallen has created a fantastic YA romance with witty characters and an engaging story. Also, If I haven’t said it enough in some of my other reviews any book narrated by Lauren Fortgang is bound to be a good one. Shout out to Michael Axtell for some great narration as well. It was my first time listening to him as a narrator and I was very impressed.

Lauren Fortgang and Michael David Axtell really became the characters they narrated. I thoroughly enjoyed both of their narration, it made listening a real pleasure.
I love this story, it's on the sweeter side of things and is somehow just really charming. I'm not really sure how the title fits the story as I don't think they ever really fight? Apart from that I just loved it. I could see all the characters around me as I listened and I enjoyed watching them as they worked their way through the book. I'm looking forward to spending more time in their world.

Love at first fight
I love the set up of this whole book it was really entertaining especially for being a high school/young adult romance. It was very true to what high school kids deal with on a daily basis. The performance by Lauren Fortgang and Michael David Axtel was very well done and a pleasure to listen to.

Better than I expected
I always appreciate having more than one narrator in books with a dual POV. Lauren Fortgang and Michael David Axtell did a great job.
As far as the story, I'm usually really disappointed with stories that involve bullying. I was really impressed that the characters in Love at First Fight brought up options other than revenge to deal with the bullying situation. Also, from the title, I expected the main characters to be fighting with each other, and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't the case. Overall, I'm really interested in listening to the next in the series.

Love the title of this series Geeks Gone Wild. This story deals with cyber bullying, a childhood friendship that dwindled as two young people grew about, caused a deep-seated wound and misunderstood feelings. Loved how the author deals with this issue, and heals these two characters.
Lauren and Michael David did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life.

Geeks Gone Wild Book One
Geeks Gone Wild Book One.
Margo is just about to enter senior year of high school. On the last day of freedom, she and her friends are hanging out at Suzie's pool. However, Suzie's brother decides to crash their hang out time with a full on high school party. He challenges Suzie to do a keg stand and that spark ignites a hashtag war for the entire senior class. On the first day of school, Suzie and Margo are the stars of the senior class summer photo slideshow. Margo is determined to get back at Joel, as she is certain he is the culprit. Jason, Margo's next-door neighbor and former best friend, is the football captain and his biggest concern is to keep the team out of the trouble their previous seniors got into. After the #GeeksGoneWild hashtag goes viral, Jason just wants it to all go away. The two team up to make the two factions of the school stand down.
If you're looking for a classic high school experience with a slice of mystery, this is the book for you!
