Engaging book with poor narration

The book itself is captivating. The main character is easy to relate to and Timbers descriptions of emotions are very real. The plot moves along smoothly and at a fantastic rate.

The narration almost made me give up the book. Samantha sounds as if she is reading the sentences for the first time, her inflection often times sounds as though she is finishing a sentence in the middle, and then starting a new one, which makes me think she thought the sentence was over when it was not. I do not mean at a comma, I mean right smack in the middle of a thought. She also frequently emotes the characters voices in a way that contradicts the emotion in the text. I also really felt the lilt of the voice did not match the character, it seemed very preppy for a very not preppy character.

Loved it!

I totally loved this book, it’s a great story, completely fascinating! Angels Demons and humans, ending in true love.
My only problem with it was the narration, it was dreadful! I almost didn’t bother listening to it as she made me cringe, I’m don’t mean to sound horrible but the lady just can’t read a story properly, she was very stilted with her words and the sentences were all over the place, plus her voice went up and down for no apparent reason.
But i stuck with it, as the story was excellent!
I would recommend it be reread by a different Narrator.
