Publisher's Summary

Finally - a theology of love that will help you navigate the confusing waters of modern relationship.

In the beginning, God created Adam. Then he made Eve. And ever since we've been picking up the pieces.

With an autobiographical thread that turns a book into a story, pastor and speaker John Mark Comer shares about what is right in male/female relationships - what God intended in the Garden. And about what is wrong - the fallout in a post-Eden world.

Loveology starts with marriage and works backward. Comer deals with sexuality, romance, singleness, and what it means to be male and female; ending with a raw, uncut, anything goes Q and A dealing with the most asked questions about sexuality and relationships.

This is a book for singles, engaged couples, and the newly married - both inside and outside the church - who want to learn what the scriptures have to say about sexuality and relationships. For those who are tired of Hollywood's propaganda, and the church's silence. And for people who want to ask the why questions and get intelligent, nuanced, grace-and-truth answers, rooted in the scriptures.

Orthodox Rob Bell

I would have loved this ten years ago, but it's not what I was expecting when I picked it out. Loveology is a book on dating, sex and romantic relationships written in the style of Rob Bell, from a conservative Christian perspective. It's well written for that style, though I spent the majority of my time wondering what John Mark's unique voice would sound like. Ultimately, the subject matter wasn't what I was looking for. I was expecting it to tackle broader human issues of sexuality, similar to Rob Bell's Sex God. This is solely focused on romantic relationships though, and does not talk about how love and sexuality permeates every relationship we have as Christians. It was good, and I think most Evangelicals will love it, it's just not what I was expecting.

A brilliant book

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

To any Christian, no matter what point of a relationship they are in, I would recommend listening or reading this book. It is straightforward and unapologetic when it comes to discussing God's version of what a marriage should look and feel like.

Beautiful

One of the best books on relationships that I’ve read. John answered some of the most difficult questions about marriage for me.

Hooked!

This was such a great listen. It addressed every question and more than I had on love and relationships, and then some.
The author addresses some potential backlash and the worldly issues we’re facing. I would recommend this for anyone searching for or in a long term relationship.

Love Theology

John M. Comer explores the Theology of Love, Romantic RelationShips and Marriage found within the Bible. Comer’s reflections and exegesis are inspiring, contemporary and, at times, even apologetic. I would recommend this book to those seeking a Love-ology to meditate on.

Great content, asks/answers the hard questions

I'm a big fan of this book as a whole. John portrays a lot of the hard questions and topics that we ask around relationships, dating, and marriage, while keeping it biblical but also relatable to today's culture.

Thanks, this was helpful

There’s so many different views on love and marriage within the church.. of which 90% don’t seem to reflect the raw realness of Jesus.
This comes close I think.. it is way more radical then the right and way more loving then the left.
