Publisher's Summary

Ethan

Hockey season is over, and that means one thing - returning home to my empty condo. With nothing to distract me from this loneliness, it’s going to be a miserable summer.

Then I hire Luca for one night.

At least, it was supposed to be one night.

Luca

Ethan isn’t like my other clients (not that I have many these days). He’s nice. He’s genuine. He doesn’t treat me like I’m here to earn my pay.

When he asks me to make this a regular thing for the summer, my wallet doesn’t leave me much choice.

But I’m pretty sure my heart isn’t supposed to get involved.

Gentlemen of the Emerald City

Luca is book one of Gentlemen of the Emerald City, a sexy series centered around the high-class, high-dollar gentlemen of Seattle’s most exclusive escort service. Each book is full of snark, sass, and sweetness, and like any Emerald City client, you’re guaranteed a happy ending.

A Sweet & Delightful Story! Fabulous Narration🎧

This is a fabulous sports romance and I enjoyed every minute of it. The story original with interesting storylines, it grabbed my attention right from the start and held all the way to the end. I adored the lead characters, Luca and Ethan, they are easy to relate to and connect with. Luca, a college student struggling to make ends meet, he earns money as a ride share driver, he is also an escort for Emerald City’s high end escort service. Part of him fears his family finding out what he does so he upped his rates to the highest tier but he wasn’t picking up any clients at that level. He is contemplating taking it down a level when he receives a notification that he has a new client. Ethan, a professional hockey player, the season is over and he is returning to an empty home. Feeling lonely he decides to check out an escort service recommended by one of his teammates. Luca was his choice but when their date started he felt insecure about it and started to guess his decisions. He really liked Luca and after he left he started to second guess himself again. Luca was a good sport about it all, he just worried about his finances and was pleasantly surprised to see Ethan came through regardless. He was surprised when he was notified that he requested him again. I thought these two were great together and for each other, the chemistry between them was electric but most of all they could be themselves and enjoy each others company. What starts as an arrangement turns into so much more. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is beautifully plotted and there is never a dull moment. There is some drama, a touch of angst, lots of heartfelt emotions and a wonderful, meant to be romance. L.A Witt, thank you for this wonderful novel and start to a new series.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Michael Ferraiuolo is a talented narrator and a versatile voice artist. He brings these character to life, giving each their own distinct voice and personality, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. He is awesome at portraying the different characters, taking each role and making it is own, sounding believable in that role and just as I picture them to sound. He sets the perfect tone for the story, captures all of the characters emotions and projects them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Superb book and an easy story to follow.

I loved this book. It's a kinda true story which a lot of gay guys like Ethan can, I am sure, share a fair amount of empathy. It's not always easy to find the partner for you! Some guys find their partners in different ways and for some, that means dating agencies. Such organisations exist for this reason and a lot of guys have probably found the love of their lives in this way. I personally never expected to find my life partner as easily as I would, and it has now been 32 years this year 3 of those year's happily married with 400 of our family and friends in attendance at the Cathedral for a great day of fun and celebration.

My favourite part of the story was nearing the end when Ethan and Luca making the decision to move in together. One other part was Luca visiting his parent's to explain how he was keeping himself financially buoyant!

The narrator of this book is my favourite narrator. He comes across so naturally, his diction is spot on. Well done Michael for another book well narrated.

I certainly have no hesitation in recommending this book. Bear in mind that it is long! It took me 3 days to get through it, three well spent days!!

Filthy Lucre

Sweet tale of poor boy driven into the sex trade to pay for his college loans, who meets lonely not so jolly hockey player. Good banter, good dialogue, well crafted, HFN ending. Whats not to like? The icing on the cake is the fine narration. Well done Audible.

Excellent book

Really enjoyed this book, the story, and their relationship. I’ve listened to other books by this author before, but this one seemed to be a step above the rest. Looking forward to the rest of the series being released.

Highly engaging

This is not a usual trope for me, but I found myself binging this book. The characters are highly engaging and the steam factor is off the charts. The audio narration by Michael Ferraiuolo brings the whole thing to a new level of enjoyment.

A sweet, steamy & romantic

Luca was such a sweet, and more than a little hot, gem of a book. Two main characters that you can't help but like an become invested in. Michael Ferraiuolo did another wonderful job with the narration.

All in all this was a great way to spend a weekend!
