A cute Silver Springs addition

This was an enjoyable read, but it’s less rom and less com than the other Silver Springs library books I’ve read. It’s not quite as light hearted as the others and definitely not as silly, which isn’t a bad thing if you’re looking for a cute fated mates quickie story with minimal steam, a dose of mystery, and a comfortable/familiar world.
I like Lupine and her mates, but the children at the orphanage kind of outshined her mates pretty consistently; they weren’t as dynamic or developed. I would’ve loved to know more about them individually and the whole syndicate story. Lupine makes a lot of crappy decisions for the sake of keeping control of her life and not letting men boss her around, but also listens to “the creepy twins” 😅 But her heart is in the right place, she really cares about the kids and the orphanage as a whole which is super sweet.
The narration for this one was good too! There were a few spots where lines were repeated that I don’t know if they were supposed to be read as internal dialogue, pause, said dialogue or if they just accidentally repeated themselves, but it was a little jarring from the story. Thankfully it only happened a handful of times, mostly towards the beginning. Otherwise I enjoyed the narrators voice and the story was a nice quick listen.

Cute

I loved this book. It is cute and sweet and gives all the feels. Lupine is a wolf shifter, who looks after the orphanage in Silver Springs.

One day Lupine gets intrigued by the new shifters in town, and that's when the book hits it off. There's secrets, steam and a whole lot of tension, in a cute, yet funny way.

XOXO Lottie.

Howling Good!

I loved this book. Lupine is a wolf shifter who's in charge of the orphanage in Silver Springs. One day a group of men, wolf shifters, move in across the street. Rumor has it they are the mafia, but there's something about several of them that intrigues Lupine. What is it about them that catches her eye?

Where’s the romance

I really liked this RH book. It's full of shifter wolves which is always a plus! The plot moves fast and I did struggle to keep up with some of it. I wish there would have been more romance between the characters and it didn't feel so rushed, it seemed more like a subplot. I did like the character dynamics and how they interacted with each other. All in all, I'm glad I read the book - just wish there was more romance.

Fun shorter story

Cute story. I’m just getting into the world of Silver Springs and I enjoyed this. I’m a fan of fates mates and shifters, so that was a no brainer. And I though that Lupine as the manager of the orphanage where she grew up was a great character.
I’d have loved more character development, especially for the guys, and I’m definitely left wanting to know more about their future.
As far as I know, Silver Springs is in NY, so the use of British terms/slang had a tendency to pull me out of the story a bit. And I listened to the audiobook, which I enjoyed, but there were more than a couple times that lines were duplicated.

Baskerville Book Reviews

Much like my previous review of the story Candela, Lupine is a standalone book in a series. I bring this up because they’re apparently part of the same literary universe, with numerous different authors. It’s an interesting concept for sure and now that I’m aware of it, I can see the similarities.

Lupine was more story than smut and that was a bit of a disappointment. While I enjoyed the story, I really felt like I was reading several chapters into a novel. I was able to understand what was going on, but I felt as if I was missing a lot of details and the story ended as soon as it got exciting. This being the third book in the series, this makes total sense.

The biggest thing that annoys me about Lupine, Candela, and the whole literary universe is that not every book seems to get the audiobook treatment. There are 21 books listed in the Spell Library series on Audible and only six of them have audiobooks. But it’s not the first six. I’d like to get the full story and listen to them in order, but I can’t and I’m not a fan of reading/listening to books in multiple formats. Even if I stick to the Lupine novels (of which there appear to be 4), only the first 2 have audiobooks and I have no way of telling if the other 2 will receive the same treatment.

While on the topic of the audio narration, the audio recording features numerous examples of repeated dialogue. The narrator did an excellent job.

I realize this review might sound a little all over the place. But so are my feelings for this novel. I enjoyed it, sure. But the abrupt ending and feeling like I’m left in the middle of a novel are a bit annoying. I think if you’re considering this story, you should consider looking into all 4 Lupine novels or don’t bother.

Beware the big bad Wolf

Lupine’s life isn’t glamorous or exciting as the caretaker for Silver Springs’s orphanage, but she knows how important it is. Wishing for just a little downtime, Lupine takes an evening to read a book given to her by her friend Juniper.

Before she realizes it, Lupine’s life has become full of excitement and lots of wolves. And the rumor mill has them pegged as part of the mafia!?!

Joanna Wild brought Lupine, the children, and hot new gym owners to life with great voice characterization. Her pacing was wonderful, easy and pleasant to listen to.

Fun listen to keep me company while I work!

“Anything is possible in Silver Springs.” —Lupine

I’m new to this world, having only read Violet, Wynter, Calluna’s Christmas short, and Candela … but yes, I do know that much is true.

I take an instant liking to Lupine, she seems very down to earth and relatable. This installment is fun, IMO because it’s mainly set in an orphanage. The kids are all different types of supernaturals and various ages and it really adds a fun dynamic. I’d love to read more in this world, and particularly in Lupine’s world.

A fun, fast read that spiced up a few hours of my work day very nicely.

4 stars.

Each book gets better

The Silver Springs town range of books is growing on me. The characters and goings on always bring a smile to my face. I actually think the orphanage may be my favourite place. Kids and adults alike. Well worth catching up with the Silver Springs world.

Just alright

This is actually my 1st audiobook. or amy book for that matter, by Hanleigh Bradley.
Even though this isn't the 1st in series it was easy to follow. The 3 star rating is basically because the storyline & characters weren't in depth and complex enough for me. I just couldn't much to truly like. I am an extremely picky listener/reader.
However, I do not an any way discourage you from purchasing this title & forming your own opinion.

let the wolf's have their fun

this is the third book in the series. a fantastic reverse harem story. it will have you glued till the end. even though I have the story's out of order. I still unstand the story.
Lupine will have her hands full with the kids she wasn't expecting to run the whole orphanage . Little did she know she's going to have her mates near her. wolfs usually don't have more then one mate., but the moon goddess decided to bless Lupine and her mates

Joanna Wild performance was fantastic. Her voice was strong ,clear and smooth. she did all the characters great

great listen

Lupine runs the orphanage for supernatural children in Silver Springs. She is stressed and over worked. The last thing she needs is four hansom wolf shifters moving in across the street especially as they are rumoured to be members of the mafia. This book had lots of humour from the children and plenty of steam from the adults. A really enjoyable read. I look forward to listening and reading more books by this author

Excellent shifter romance

Excellent fun shifter romance, part of a series but can be read as a standalone. Love Lupine who runs the orphanage and has real attitude. Some great challenging kids and four overprotective mates make for a great story, a few threads of other stories in the series makes you want to read move of the series. Narration is easy to listen to and well performed.

Good

Lupine grew up in the orphanage she now runs she takes care of supernatural children and loves every minute of it . When a group of Wolf shifters move in across from her the town gossip is that they are Mafia and she can’t help ask them out right when she meets them she has a case of lack of brain to mouth filter 😂
