Inspired by the physical challenges of stalking elk in the Oregon wilderness—traversing mountainous terrain, braving erratic weather, and evading his quarry’s even more dangerous predators—he began an ever-evolving journey of self-improvement. To become the best bowhunter of wild elk, to the caliber he believed he could be, Cam realized he would need more than archery skills.

Story
We're in the middle of an epidemic of average. So-called "normal" people get up every day, go to work, do what's asked of them, leave promptly at five, and return home to sit on the couch and watch TV. Society tells us that this is what it means to lead a balanced life. Don't stress too much or work too hard. Your career isn't everything. But Grant Cardone thinks this preoccupation with balance has really just given an excuse to be mediocre.

Publisher's Summary
"But I can't...."
"There's no way...."
"It's impossible...."
Enough. Get off your ass make your "someday" goals a priority - today.
After years of coaching and consulting hundreds of startup rookies as well as seasoned entrepreneurs, executives, and CEOs, Bedros Keuilian realized that most people who want to start a business, grow an existing business, author a book, make more money, or make a bigger impact usually take the long, slow, painful way to get there...and more than 80 percent of entrepreneurs never get to their desired destination or achieve their full potential in business. They treat their dream as if it were merely a hobby and dip their toes in the water, but they never commit to diving in - you get the idea.
It's time to cut the bullshit excuses. Everyone has a gift, a purpose. It's your duty to figure out what your gift is and how you're going to share it with the world.
Man Up: How to Cut the Bullshit and Dominate Your Path is your guide to doing exactly that. Keuilian, founder and CEO of Fit Body Boot Camp and known as the "hidden genius" behind many of the most successful brands and businesses throughout multiple industries, will teach you how to break out of the sea of mediocrity, get singularly focused on your purpose, and do what it takes - not only to achieve but dominate your goals.
With Keuilian's no-nonsense approach in both business and personal spheres, you'll be able to define your purpose and have clarity of vision - and a plan - to make the quantum leap. Whether it's creating and growing a company, leaving a legacy, making a difference, or launching a new brand, you will discover how to use your passion, purpose, and sheer grit to overcome any adversity that attempts to derail your progress.
If there's an area of your life in which you need to man up, this book will get you there.

Good overview, but nothing new or groundbreaking
If you’ve read lots of self help / improvement books already most of this book will be a repeat for you. Go to bed early, get up early, manage your time/emotions, exercise, eat right, and focus on gratitude.
You’re better off doing a deep dive into each of these topics with a book solely dedicated to that area. Want to learn how to build good habits, read Atomic Habits. Manage your emotions? Read Obstacle is the Way or Daily Stoic.
This book doesn’t dive deep enough into any of these areas for me and doesn’t tell a good enough story to make up for it.
My big take away or ah-ha moment from this book was the importance of being decisive. That’s what I really took away from this book.

Nothing new or profound
If you’ve ever read two or more self-help books or “business “books you’ve already heard everything that’s in this book.
Get plenty of sleep
Surround yourself with good people
Eat well and get some exercise
Don’t be lazy
Don’t procrastinate
Only hire good people
If that was helpful then maybe you should read this book, but if you’ve heard that all before you can skip this book.
I picked up this book based on the interview I’ve seen of the author, I felt that he had a very interesting story and philosophy. That personality and philosophy didn’t really come through in this book.

Epic!
This book came to me at the perfect time! I’ve recently overhauled my business and brand, and I’ve found the weaknesses in my business model… ME!
I simply don’t address my weaknesses. This book gave me the drive to man up and take responsibility, and more importantly to take action to address these weaknesses.
Also it game me the kick I needed to create a detailed and realistic plan for the growth of my business. Lastly, I was happy to stumble across the fitpro news letter service from this book.
Email marketing is also something that to me is a pain in the arse, however I know it’s absolutely vital so will definitely be joining.
This book was perfect for me as I’m in the same industry but this will definitely help anyone trying to grow a business in any industry!

Nothing earth-shattering but still a good listen
With the author as the narrator, the book had a good energy about it. There was an occasional f bomb if you are not a fan but you probably guessed that from the title.
Overall, the author relayed his journey and the learning opportunities that presented themselves along the way well, and it wasn't overly padded like some of these books are.
I am already thinking about making a couple of changes to my day based on what I have learned.

Amazing book
A real raw insight into the highs and lows of real entrepreneurship. Often times you hear the modern day unicorn story of facebook, apple or microsoft etc.. where everything seems to work like magic off the bat, but to hear a real life story of struggle and success gives encouragement to the reader that you can do it too, and that anything is possible. Thanks Bedros!
