No need for discontent

No, you do not need to feel discontent with your life. However, saying “just do something about it” would be silly, hence why I want to recommend this audiobook. It helped me get to grips with the reality of persuasion (and how bad I was at it) and start working my butt off to achieve my goals.

Untangle your life

Sometimes all you need is a good book (in this case, audiobook) to help you see how bad your situation is. Let me tell you – telling your oldest friend that they are toxic is no easy task, but it has to be done in some cases. Thanks to Goleman and Robinson, I am on my way to a more positive life.

No more bad friends

Thanks to this, I managed to cut out the last of my bad friends from my social circle! It may not sound like much, but it is a great achievement to an anxious person like me. The techniques shared by Goleman and Robinson are effective and easy to handle, so I managed to implement them with no-problem!

Oh wow!

The first thing I said when I played this audiobook was, “Oh wow!” I was stunned by the fab voice that hit my ears! The written content is useful and very well-written, but that voice is something you cannot omit!

Gorgeous voice

First of all – what gorgeous narration voice! I wish more authors would collaborate with this narrator; they are awesome (by “awesome,” I mean clear, their pronunciation is perfect, and they are very pleasant to listen to, no matter the topic!). I have recommended this audiobook to my niece, who is in her 20s and studying to be a vet. She has been under a lot of stress due to her inability to make friends. Still, she said that this audiobook has greatly helped read people and seem confident to others. I personally really loved the “When Psychology Turns Dark” chapter – very intriguing and interesting.

Goals – set!

Setting goals can be difficult, but it is definitely not impossible. Of course, when you are down in the dumps, anything can tick you off (e.g., a toaster breaking, when all you needed in the morning was a nice toast). This audiobook was found by my husband a few weeks ago. He really wanted me to go through it with him, saying it might help me too. He was convincing, so I gave in. Three weeks in, we are still doing great – much more confident and social + we were able to cut contact with some old (and not so good) “friends”! I am impressed with the performance of both the authors with clear and comprehensive information and the narrator with their wonderful voice!

Why not?

Before I purchased this, I asked myself whether it would be worth it. After my purchase, I think back on it, and I should have asked myself: why wouldn’t it be worth it? It is a fabulous audiobook with plenty of tips, tricks, and insight into dark psychology. It is well worth getting.
