Publisher's Summary
She has everything Lord Farnsworth wants, including his manor.
Lord Farnsworth would rather rot in debtor’s prison than sell the one place that feels like home to him - his mother’s manor. That is, until he meets the woman who wants to buy it. Sally Duncan is beautiful, intelligent, and as rich as a baron - a rich baron, not a cash-strapped one like Lord Farnsworth. She’s the solution to every one of his financial problems and is bewitching to boot. All he needs to do is sell her his beloved manor and then charm her to the altar, and the manor will be his again. Simple, right? But nothing is simple when Sally starts tearing apart his ancestral home and renovating it in a way no one would consider tasteful. She is wreaking havoc on everything, but he cannot give up on owning his mother’s estate again, nor can he imagine anyone but Sally as his wife. And so he sticks with his plan. What a horrible mistake.

A feel good book
I am tired of reading books that are centered around angst between the characters throughout. This book is lighthearted and fun with a background of some serious elements. I highly recommend it. Noah Wall is a fantastic narrator for books that are set in a British setting.

Funny and Romantic
I laughed out loud so many times reading this Victorian RomCom.… Especially because I was also listening to the audible version of it — and the narration added so much to the story!
Jonathon and Sally are a delightful and unusual pair but truly so perfectly matched. There were times that I just wanted to hug Jonathan, especially during his interactions with Sally’s sister Victoria… So very sweet!
Do yourself a favor and read this one, especially if you are in the mood to laugh and swoon at the same time!

A fun regency rom-com!
I love Esther Hatch's stories. Her characters and plot are interesting and never feel flat. I love that this is a regency rom-com. It made me giggle several times. And the romance was definitely swoon worthy. I love Sally's strength and Jonathon's bumbling sweetness. The gift he gives Sally when he first proposes is perfect. And Noah Wall always gives a wonderful performance. She is a favorite of mine to listen to. I definitely recommend this book.

Probably worth buying on sale, but not worth a credit. The characters are nice. The story is nice. The heroine and her sister learning to box held no appeal for me, and that was a major element in the story. A meaningful conversation between the hero and heroine would have prevented them from misunderstanding each other. Overall a shallow story. Narration is fine.

Not a gripping story
Sweet and simple, but there is not much of a character building experience in this story. There is not a significant obstacle for either major character to overcome and thus the story is just one of falling in love. Neither character must overcome a difficult event to make the story more interesting than that. The reader is wonderful, however. I will be looking for more of her work.

Regency Romcom
Agh! Esther Hatch has quickly become an automatic read-anything-she-writes author for me. I absolutely loved this one!
Lord Farsnworth is such a funny hero because he's kind of cocky in a super cute, bumbling, I-don't-know-anything-about-women kind of way. He was so sweet with Victoria and speaking of Victoria, I hope the epilogue was an indication that her story will be written some day!
Sally (love the name!) was funny with her little pranks and I appreciated that she knew her own mind. She wasn't afraid of being smart or standing up for herself.
I hope Regency romcom becomes a new regular genre because it was so much fun to read!
The narrator was excellent and really brought the story to life. Loved it!

This clean Regency romance has witty characters and the book is a fun, quick read. The narrator has a British accent and presents this Regency well.
