Publisher's Summary

Best-selling LGBT author Erin Wade pulls out all the stops on this thriller. A lesbian, action adventure romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat and cheering for Java Jarvis and her team at SKIRT.

When women are murdered during Mardi Gras for the third year in a row, New Orleans Police Lieutenant Beau Braxton calls in the women of SKIRT. The FBI’s Serial Killers Investigative Resolution Team consisted of five beautiful FBI agents and was directed by Special Agents Java Jarvis and her wife Kat Lace. Working undercover, the team had a 100 percent success rate and was only pressed into action when others failed, and local authorities requested their assistance. Java and Kat discover that murder is one of the nicer things perpetrated by a well organized group participating in human trafficking, porn, snuff films, and abduction by request.

When wealthy Avery Ricard a beautiful plantation owner sets her sights on Kat, Java pulls out all the stops to keep her wife and to keep NOLA citizens safe. Join Java, Kat, their dog Ares, and the entire SKIRT team as they love, laugh, and hunt down the bad guys.

Horrible narration

I only made it through 10 minutes of this audio book. I listened to the first book right before this one. the narrator from the first book made all the women sound sexy and sultry. this lady makes everyone sound old and frumpy. I am extremely disappointed because I absolutely loved all of the characters in the first book. they are unrecognizable in this one. such a bummer.

Loved it

I really enjoyed this audible book. Erin Wade is one of my favorite authors and I enjoy all her books. I love the fact the corrupt politicians got what they deserved. Even though it was just a book and most never do, it's nice to dream.

Enjoyable

This book is a great sequel to the first book and I enjoyed it. I was relieved we get Gloria back. The only downside is the narrator. I wish it was the same narrator Victoria Mei from the first book because this new narrator sounds flat. I also enjoyed the author afterword about the mardi gras killer and the use of AI in her first book. I was surprised by the AI revelation in the first book but it was a good surprised. I wil definitely buy the 3rd book if the author decides to continue with this series.

liked the 1st book

The narration does not go with the original eb and flow. Couldn't get through it. I know if I was reading I would've liked the book as much as the first.

the narration is so nice nice, rather than sarcastic and biting the way it should be. And all the sudden all the characters are very country.. did not enjoy this well what I was able to listen to.
