Publisher's Summary

“Happy is the man who finds a true friend, and far happier is he who finds that true friend in his wife.” (Franz Schubert)

This book contains proven steps and strategies on how to help save a marriage that is about to start falling into pieces or one that has already fallen or one that has already passed that stage. In this audiobook, we will talk about what marriage really is, the truths behind the beautiful façade of a wedding of two seemingly happy couple, and some other complexities of it as well. After that, we will start probing into what makes marriage complicated.

Marriage is not for you but for your partner. Once you understand this principle, then you will be able to make it work. One of the chapters in this audiobook will also feature the topic of argument and differences as a regular part of every marriage that brings conflict in marriage. Lastly, there is the importance of communication that everyone needs to understand, especially married people. You will find out more about these topics inside.

The book is designed to help those who are looking forward to getting into marriage or are in one or are in the blink of moving out of it. Its focus is to help the listener understand better the concept of marriage and have an appreciation around it.

Sit, relax, and listen on. Thanks again for choosing this book. I hope you enjoy it!

Good book

I think this book gives you the basic tools to make your marriage work, and also provides some self-reflection. If you felt something wasn’t right or has changed in your marriage this book can help you identify those things.

Good book...despite all the fake reviews

Something weird has gone on with the review section of this book. There are like 70+ reviews that were obviously passed through google translate or something. None of them make any sense. Both Audible and Amazon both appear to have been fake review bombed for this book.

All of that said, I actually did enjoy the book quite a bit. The narrator for a book like this doesn't need to do much for me in a book like this. She was relaxing and calm which is where my head needed to be while reading the book. Aside from her weird pronunciation of the word "again," it was all good.

I picked up this book because obviously I am having some marital troubles. I still don't know where my marriage will go, but I learned a lot of very useful things about how relationships work and what I can do personally to help my marriage be successful. The book uses some research from John Gottman whose videos and books I've also studied, and I liked how his information was applied to the subject.

More than anything, the book helped me to reflect on how I am interacting with my spouse. What am I doing? What am I not doing? What can I change? What is she looking for? How is she feeling? The book gave very specific scenarios that fit my own, and I was able to gather some insight into how I can better communicate with my wife.

I wouldn't say this book saved my marriage, and I don't think it's enough to save a declining marriage to just read a book. However, it gave me some tools, and it gave me some motivation to seek outside help.

So, in conclusion, don't read all the weird google translated reviews on this book. I am not sure why someone felt the need to add them. The book is very good and useful on its own, and I am sure it would garner many positive reviews like mine on its own.

could be better

It's probably a good start for couples that are new in addressing their relationship/marriage issues. Some chapters were particularly annoying, especially when bible was introduced. the physical intimacy is a big part of romantic relationships, the book addressed that very poorly. it seemed as sex is a taboo even for the writer and quote religiously charged.

we, as a couple who have some some self counselling before, didn't get much out of it.
