Publisher's Summary

There's one last chance to save the world in Maximum Ride: Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports, the closing chapter of James Patterson's thrilling trilogy. The time has arrived for Max and her winged "Flock" to face their ultimate enemy and discover their original purpose: to defeat the takeover of "Re-evolution", a sinister experiment to re-engineer a select population into a scientifically superior master race - and to terminate the rest. Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gasman, and Angel have always worked together to defeat the forces working against them, but can they save the world when they are torn apart, living in hiding and captivity, halfway across the globe from one another?

A different twist for Patterson

I'm not accustomed to the SciFi side of Patterson, but he pulls it off well with this and other books on Maximum Ride. If you like SciFi and root for the underdog you'll enjoy "Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports".

Exciting but diappointing

I loved the Maximum Ride series but was very disappointed that only ABRIDGED versions were available. I went out and bought the actual books and so much is lost not having UNABRIDGE. I don't understand this but the story was great.

absolutely terrible

hated it, the story was so basic and boring, narration was awful, sound effects were distracting, and the whole experience was hugely disappointing.

The Best

The series just keeps getting better and better! The only problem is that it's abridged... Oh well, at least they have it here. I can't even to begin to say how good this series is! listen to the sample on the page...

Patterson rules!

loved it and this is my second time. I think the characters are so warm and easy to route for.

Good, but distracting.

I had already read this book once before, when they were first coming out. I am disappointed that the unabridged versions are not on Audible. And the guitar riffs between every chapter is obnoxious, please don’t do that again.

However, the reader did a good job. I appreciate them not trying to give everyone their own unique voice as much as in the first book. Kept true to the story and kept the tension up. Well done.
