Such A Great Resource!

Weight loss is such a major problem that many women have during Menopause. I loved how this book gave great detail into this problem and how Jane explains how hormones directly effect weight loss during this time. If this is something you struggle with or will be tackling in the future, defiantly read this book.

Exceptional book about menopause!

From the very beginning, you can tell that Jane has done her research! This book is presented in a relatable and easy-to-understand format, that will have you feeling motivated and encouraged. There are numerous exercises, nutrition examples, and suggested supplements included. I felt so encouraged after listening to her book!

Solid tips

I’ve already seen the weight gain from my age, pre-diabetes, and the beginnings of menopause, so I’m ready to kick it in gear and stay healthy and light on my feet. This audiobook was a great place to start to get my mindset right for what’s ahead. Great tips to minimize hot flashes, osteoporosis, and full-on type 2 diabetes. And I loooooove that the author included a section on alternative protocols to western medicine… I’m definitely into adding natural remedies to my traditional medical treatment!

Very Helpful and Informative

There is nothing like knowing that someone truly gets what you might be going through. Menopause can cause us to feel as if we are all alone and no one can possibly understand what we're going through. Following the suggestions included I do believe I can "Live well, Sleep well, Stop Hot Flashes and Lose Weight" Thank you!

Research backed

This was a well written book which had alot of quoted studies. I've read many diet books and don't agree with it all. Also, i am accustomed to books that also give sample menu ideas. As I know some of the author's complementary work, I had expected something more out of the box. She did briefly mention a couple ideas

Very Inspiring Book!

Inspiring book for any woman!!
I found this book at just the right time. It’s a great listen: the narrator is excellent and the content is fantastic!
I have been making lifestyle changes recently and the knowledge I gained from listening to this book has been very inspirational. As a woman of this age range, I was intrigued by this topic. I am still new to this exciting time of life, and I really appreciated the thorough, yet simple explanation of the pros and cons of hormone replacement therapy.
What I appreciated most about this book is how the author discusses how making better lifestyle choices will make everything in your life easier!! Seeing this time of life as a wake up call to improve your life is brilliant!
Instead of sitting around and complaining about this and that and everything that is going wrong, the author takes the positon of wellness as a way of living.
Like Oprah said, this a Time to Reinvent yourself!

This book is about hope and action. The author has a very engaging writing style that I found to be the perfect combination of scientific research, practical advice and humour. I am looking forward to implementing this new knowledge in my life!! Thank you!

Great Information!

This author did a fantastic job compiling factual data from several sources into one easy-to-read and easy-to-understand guide on losing weight following menopause. The author explains hormonal and nutritional factors which can be adjusted to minimize or even cease hot flashes and several other frustrating symptoms associated with menopause. Great read!

Renewed hope and motivation.

Jane has researched the research and then presents it in a way that's understandable and usable. Chapter by chapter the research backed solutions are identified. I now understand why I should quit chasing the quick fixes that have never worked and left me with dashed hopes. I find the knowledge here very motivating. Chapter 21 is priceless!

Brennan 's reading and voice is a pleasure to listen to but I will be purchasing a hard copy book because this is a tool that I will come back to again and again when my motivation needs tweaking.

A highly enjoyable and educational book!

This book is for ANYONE, wanting to discover the effective of menopause and HOW to reverse their gradual weight gain, growing anxiety, increasing irritability, reduced energy, poor sleep, failing memory and sex function. There is so much knowledge in this book, and each symptom/or impacted area of your life is discussed in a positive, proactive way with practical and healthy advice. I’m reducing my caffeine intake immediately!!!!
Credit to the author - this will help so many woman protect and nurture their bodies and continue to lead a full and healthy lives.

Interesting for someone new to this area

I listened to this book on Amazon Audible recently. It was helpful and informative but didn’t go in depth enough for me. I’ve done a lot of research so I felt this just covers the basics. Good great ‘intro’ book.

Highly recommended

This is a very useful resource for helping to understanding and manage the menopause. The book covers many aspects and shows how with simple steps you can recognise and

Excellent book, full of actionable tips & advice

This book is absolutely not just about the menopause and weight-loss, it’s like a handbook for nutrition, diet, exercise, life tips, and so much more for women over 40.

And, importantly, the author shares strategies to help cement new practices into your life and routine which keep your motivation and momentum going.

The book looks at lots of different ways to alleviate menopause symptoms naturally, how to lose weight during and after, how to combat hot flushes, and how to stave off osteoporosis and dementia too.

If you or a friend, family member or colleague are anywhere near menopause and looking to try natural ways to ace it, it’s an immensely rewarding listen. If you would like to learn and understand more then do listen too.

The only thing I suffer with currently is brain melt - my train of thought often derails during a conversation which isn't ideal!

I wanted to be forearmed and have done a lot of my own research but this book could have saved me time as it’s all in here.

There is a fair amount of scene setting but it helps explain the approaches, which are all backed up by evidence, research and quotes from eminent health bodies across the globe.

Huge thanks to the author for this indispensable book which I'm sure will help many thousands of women.

So much more than menopause

This book has very valuable well researched information on menopause which I have found very helpful but the book has much more than that. It is a fabulous guide to embracing this next stage of life and living it in the most healthy way possible.

Useful collection of tips

I enjoyed this book a lot, some new information some reminders of things already known. As a perimenopausal woman, being reminded is very useful.
The content is well researched and full of actionable ideas.
I have restarted yoga, stick to unprocessed foods and have reduced my caffeine consumption dramatically. It’s all helping!

My only gripe, with this and many audiobooks…I find the mispronounced words irritating, however, perimenopausal…

Not Just Weight loss

This book is full of information for menopausal women that's backed up by evidence. This is both a plus and a minus as the constant quotations can be a bit irritating. it's divided into chapters which is great for dipping into specific sections, but some chapters are very long and would be better split into shorter chapters no longer than 20 minutes.
About half of the book is on weight issues with the rest covering a range of issues that can affect menopausal women, with advice for dealing with those issues. The good news is, the same changes in diet and lifestyle improve many menopausal problems as well as helping with weight loss. I'm increasing the range of plant based foods I eat each week and becoming more self aware of my eating patterns. I love the idea of a 95% healthy diet.

A valuable resource

A very interesting read, lots of valuable and interesting information backed up by various studies. Lots of practical advice and different perspectives to the different symptoms experienced by many during menopause. I found myself scrambling for a pen to take notes on different ideas, sites to visit, it leaves you well informed. A well researched book, I also liked the general directness and light tone around to what can be a very difficult and alarming time. A good companion to have with you.
