Publisher's Summary

Drowning in tides of toys, overflowing closets, and a crazy schedule, Rachelle Crawford assumed you had to be naturally organized to keep a tidy living space. Then she found minimalism: the messy, real-life kind, that is less about perfection and more about purpose. Thus began a journey toward decluttering her home, calendar, and soul.

With empathy, grace, and humor, Crawford - who curates the popular Abundant Life with Less site - shares doable ways to own less and live more fully. Laying out practical strategies for reducing waste, curbing consumption, decluttering, and finding lots more joy, Crawford offers no-nonsense solutions for the rest of us. Learn to become a more conscious consumer, create a capsule wardrobe, inspire family members to join you, free up more time for the things that matter, and create a tidy(ish) home. The messy minimalist way is a no-judgment zone, one in which we learn sustainable habits and grace-based practices. It's about living lightly on the earth and making room for purpose.

Becoming a messy minimalist is not about turning into someone else; it's about clearing away clutter and expectations to unearth who you really are. It's about carrying fewer things so that we find ourselves holding onto what truly matters.

A different perspective

There is a realism and practicality with the strategies this book that make me feel like if implemented, they would make a big difference in my life ! This book will apply especially to families with children in the house. Nice and even narration by the author.

Insightful, Honest, and Considerate

This book was the most refreshing and honest take on minimalism that I have ever come across. She discusses how minimalism can fit into the average family, how it helped her, and how to make it stick. She is humorous and the reading feels like you’re talking to a friend. I highly recommend giving this one a go! I have nothing negative to say about it!

Excellent new thoughts!

I kinda thought I’d heard everything there was to hear about decluttering. This author not only had some great tips but made me think differently about it. Her writing and reading style was lighthearted enough to keep me interested. Enjoyed it and recommended to to my best friends.

So proud

I am Rachelle Crawford’s Aunt, so I might be a bit biased; that said… I have gleaned so much ch from her strategies to not only eliminate the clutter( I have a ton), but to create a home me that is less stressful, easy to navigate and a real joy just to be home!
I know you will thoroughly enjoy her stories but more importantly, you find it easy to create your space.
Enjoy!

Perfect cocktail of Humor, Humanity, and Handholds

Refreshing take on minimalism and intentional living. This book knocks the shine off life style design and what’s possible. It also did that while having fun and not taking yourself too seriously.

Also loved the pace and tone of the narration. Very easy and fun listen. Highly recommend
