Great New Story In the Warriors Universe

Let me start off this review by stating my bias. I have read these books a million time and they have a special place in my heart and I love the characters dearly. That being said I read this series back when it first came out so while I know basic plot points nuances of relationships and conversations were lost to time. Pacing is a bit awkward due to the fact that they sort of rush through the journey to the Ocean they could have shortened the time spent in the forest where Brambleclaw Squirrelpaw basically are very unsure of the next step due to Starclan's usual ambiguous requests

MacLeod has a good voice but he has disappointed me when he reverts Brambleclaw's unique voice back to the same sort of voice he gave Firestar in the original series, which is a minor complaint but it isn't the only character that ends up with an extremely similar voice to their first series counterparts (often this can be explained by family relation but is a bit disappointing still).

I do recommend reading The Prophecies Begin series (starting with Into The Wild) first if you are new to the Warriors universe (both to see whether you can handle the fantasy elements and some of the more violent scenes as this series ramps it up from a solid PG rating to PG-13). While one can start here and get a pretty good idea of the cats' culture and belief system things make a bit more sense when you have a bit more information about how their society functions.

A long journey... to Midnight

A nice long adventure that I guess is just beginning, since this is the first book in a series. Midnight and the end were really good. Loved the old loner cat's folksy accent!

I love 💗 warriors it’s a fun series

I wrote a review on all the others, so why would I stop now? I love warriors because it’s interesting, and not: “alright _____
Paw, now creep up on the mouse and pounce.” It is: “oh wow tribe.
Cats have totally different cultures then clan cats! Woahhhhh! Oh wait- silver cat will save them from this Sharptooth? They mean Stormfur?! We can’t let that happen!”

Absolute loved this

Such a good compelling book and Macleod Andrews is the only narrator that really gets me into this series. I love that they do a majority of the titles

A very fun story!

I forgot how good this series and Erin Hunter's writing is! I read the first set in middle school and finally started these, I'm glad it's still as good as I remembered. the narrator's voice is also very immersive and really draws you in. one of my all time favorite series, would recommend to anyone!

Not as good as the last six books

Not as exciting as the other books. Good story but kinda boring. Also, alot changed in between books and was hard to keep up with all the new names. Some of the names are too similar so it can get confusing.
