Publisher's Summary

Christmas has arrived in the town of Wynbridge, and it promises mince pies, mistletoe and a whole host of seasonal joy.

Ruby has finished with university and is heading home for the holidays to save up for her trip around the world in January. Against her father’s wishes, she takes on a stall at the local market and sets about making it the best Christmas market stall ever. There’ll be bunting and mistletoe and maybe even a bit of mulled wine.

But with a new retail park just opened on their doorstep, the market is under threat. So together with all the other stallholders, Ruby devises a plan to make sure that Wynbridge is the first port of call for everyone’s Christmas shopping needs.

The only thing standing in her way is Ruby’s ex, Steve. It’s pretty hard to concentrate on saving the world when he works on the stall opposite, especially when she realises that her feelings for him are still there....

This Christmas make time for some winter sparkle - and see who might be under the mistletoe this year....

Will definitely listen again, but...

Ruby was really self-centered - even the good things she did for the market, which really rather fell into her lap, mostly - never quite redeemed her.
Everyone else was great and the descriptions were wonderful but Ruby was a butt :(

Disappointed

Usually always enjoy Heidi Swain’s books. This was never ending and very predictable. Story was not a festive holiday read for me.

Too Juvenile and Wingeing for Words

If you were a sixteen year old with time on your hands this would be a good listen for you..but as a well read adult I was exasperated the pathetic wingeing of the heroine,.always playing sophomoric flirt and flight games..
34 chapters should have been 12 too.

Fun Christmas read

Very fun Christmas read. I can’t wait to read her other books in this series. And there are other Christmas books for next year.

Another winner for Heidi Swain!

Christmas is a very special time in our family. Both my husband and I come from large families and for both of us it was special. We've tried to do that with our four, now grown. I wish we had a little town like Winbridge. Ms. Swain creates memorable characters. The fondness and the willingness to help one another are characteristics of so many of the townsfolk are worth emulating. We need pleasant books with happy endings. I know life isn't all wonderful, but feel good books are worth a lot!

Not at all her best

Multiple unnecessary storylines.
Plots dragged out and what feels like pages and pages of unnecessary scenes and dialogues.
First one I’m not happy with though.

not for me

a dull predictable story with a main character who is so naive she couldn't possibly be an adult in real life. was looking forward to a cosy entertaining Christmas listen but sadly did not hit the mark at all

Great feel good story

Loved this including narrator performance. A lovely listen all round. Though there is a Christmas theme, I was quite happy to read it in February!

Love it!

I really enjoyed this story and felt thoroughly 'Christmassy' by the end of it! Not sure quite how believable Ruby's Father's story line was but hey, it's Christmas!!
Excellent narrator who really enhanced my enjoyment of this book.

I LOVED IT

When I read the summery/ book review I thought that it may be a bit predictable and also a small bit boring ......but I was wrong I really enjoyed this book but I am a woman that loves romance, sparkle, sickly sweet and all fluffy things in life! if you are that kind of person I'm sure you will love this book in fact all of Heidi Swain books.

Loved this book

Absolutely love this book. Got a little bit bla in the middle but they kept it going with the dads story line. Wish there was a bit more build up at the end or book two but over all was brilliant

Wonderfully cozy

The perfect Christmas read!! I loved to revisit all the characters and meet the new ones.
I want to pack up and visit the Christmas market now!!
I also think Karen is the perfect narrator. She makes listening so easy.
