Couldn't Survive the Narration

I saw this book had 100 ratings -- all 5.0! While it seemed too good to be true, I couldn't imagine 100 ratings could all be wrong. I purchased the book with high hopes and eagerly set about listening to it. Immediately, however, I realized that there were problems with the narration, and I kicked myself for having not listened to a sample of the narration ahead of time. The narrator read the book in a word-by-word fashion as if just learning how to read. About every 4th minute he mispronounced a word that he should have known how to pronounce. I forced myself through the first two hours of the book; but, finally, I just couldn't take it anymore and gave up. The content wasn't too bad, but was certainly not enough to keep me listening.

Rarely Leave Poor Reviews

This is either 1) narrated by AI, 2) narrated by a computer-generated translation program, or 3) horribly edited and narrated. Either way, the message is good but it’s hard to listen to the book when the narration is so choppy and full of errors. There are plenty of great books about mindfulness that I would not waste time with this one…

This is a fantastic little audible on mindfulness and self-reflection. I can imagine hearing it over and over again. Good message even for those who don't want to learn how to meditate. It's a universal rumination on self-awareness.
