Story
In a near-deserted coastal village, odd things are happening. Strangers are asking questions about the town's recluse. A local hunter discovers naked footprints in the snow. The stray dog population has ceased to exist. And with winter's most powerful weapon bearing down, things are about to become much, much worse. A werewolf book. Not a romance. Not at all.

Story
Miah Gray is a 27-year-old former army soldier living in rural New Hampshire with his sister, mother, and her boyfriend. He is plagued by PTSD, finding solace, but not redemption, with the aid of prescribed cannabis. All he wants to do is get high, relax with a good sandwich, and watch a meteor shower with his neighborhood crush, Jen. When the sun's light is blotted out the following morning and the world is plunged into darkness, Miah finds himself locked down with his family, covering windows with trash bags, lighting candles, and following the arcane rules of an ancient prophecy.

It was just a random mutation - one of a billion that happen in viruses every day. But this one was different. It exploded out of Somalia and spread across the oceans before anybody thought to look up from their cell phones to see what was going on. The infected breathed the virus into the air around them, spreading it through the cities faster than anyone thought possible. Hospitals were overwhelmed. Police lines crumbled. Quarantine sites disintegrated. Cities started to collapse.

Story
For dinosaurs, it was a big rock. For humans: Coronal Mass Ejection (CME). When the Earth is hit by the greatest CME in recorded history (several times larger than the Carrington Event of 1859), the combined societies of the planet's most developed nations struggle to adapt to a life thrust back into the Dark Ages. In the United States, the military scrambles to speed the nation's recovery on multiple fronts including putting down riots, establishing relief camps, delivering medical aid, and bringing communication and travel back on line. Just as a real foothold is established in retaking the skies (utilizing existing commercial aircraft supplemented by military resources and ground control systems), a mysterious virus takes hold of the population, spreading globally over the very flight routes that the survivors fought so hard to rebuild.

Story
From the Audie-nominated narrator of The Martian. In eleven years' time, a million members of an alien race will arrive at Earth. Years before they enter orbit, their approach will be announced by the flare of a thousand flames in the sky, their ships' huge engines burning hard to slow them from the vast speeds needed to cross interstellar space. These foreboding lights will shine in our night sky like new stars, getting ever brighter until they outshine even the sun, casting ominous shadows and banishing the night until they suddenly blink out.

A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. War heroes aren't usually called out of semi-retirement and sent to the far reaches of the galaxy for a routine investigation. So when Colonel Carl Butler answers the call from an old and powerful friend, he knows it's something big - and he's not being told the whole story. A high councilor's son has gone MIA out of Cappa Base, the space station orbiting a battle-ravaged planet. The young lieutenant had been wounded and evacuated - but there's no record of him having ever arrived at hospital command.

Publisher's Summary
Electric wheels. Axes and leather. And the long road into madness.
After securing the vast government bunker of Whitecap and learning of her affliction, Collie decides to head west to challenge the sinister road clan known as the Leather and kill its leader, the Dog Tongue.
Along for the ride is Gus Berry, who knows full well the very thing that is killing Collie is also keeping her alive. His growing affection for the operator is only matched by his dislike of the one called Milo, the very man who shot her, who Collie insists on bringing along on their mission. Gus won’t allow her to venture alone into the Leather-ruled westlands, yet he also knows that to go with her means to die inside.
Together, the special operator, the reluctant survivalist, and the unleashed prisoner will have to depend on each other as they tread into the unknown. There, they will face an ominous new order. An order bent on creating a medieval empire upon the broken wills and spines of their minions, all the while weaponizing the very thing that destroyed civilization in the first place.
Behind Collie and Gus is a pocket of humanity struggling to survive. Ahead of them, an insane army. And to save their people, Collie and Gus will have to kill the one called the Dog Tongue.
What they intend to do is dangerous. Hopeless. Mindless.

ONE DESPERATE SITUATION TO THE NEXT, AGAIN & AGAIN!!!
OMG!!! What is with this author?? Ruining a perfectly good story with OVERLY DRAMATIC scenarios every other chapter! It is flat out annoying. I love this genre, the zombie, eotw fantasies and most supernatural styled worlds. What gets under the skin is good authors making beginners mistakes. Mistakes like trying to keep a full length run of suspense throughout the entire book. I have to skip chapters or jump to the end in order to make story worth listening too because it feels like it will never end for find a satisfactory conclusion. Also, mistakes like ignoring basic human psychology and disregarding common sense. This author tries but fails miserably. He also drops the ball when it comes to military tactics while writing in main characters that are supposed to former special forces or high speed low drag soldiers and Marines. They do things and perform ridiculous actions that NO trained military personnel would ever consider! It is highly frustrating. The only saving grace for this book is RC Bray. He is an excellent narrator and brings the book to life. This series is not worth the cost of the credits required to purchase it.

One To Far For The Series
I preordered this book because I have read the whole series. That made this a giant disappointment when I started reading it and there was not only anything new but the zombies had turned into friendly chums to have as pals. I gave it my best try to force through but only made four of sixteen-hour book.

Did IQs suddenly drop?
RC Bray still brings a phenomenal performance but unlike the previous books in this chapter there are many uncharacteristic logic mistakes with characters not making sound decisions. examples: a super scifi limo that Collie never tells anyone how to operate?, why mention that the little girl may be special and never deal with it again, wouldn't someone have just killed the Spider about 3 times, why would Collie not just shoot the tires out when he escapes in a regular pick-up, would have been nice to have the big bad suffer more in their death scene, not giving a gun to Top Gun gets ridiculous, etc. Also we the series continues to get more and more littered with homophobic slurs, unnecessary. Still, there is good humor sprinkled about and the action is nonstop. Hopefully the next in the series will fix some of these opportunities and be as awesome as the rest of the books.

Well this is for me
Well this is it for me. I'm done with this nonsense, once they were willing to give up the limousine for a child that was already dead this far in the apocalypse I was done. Tell me what justification they could give to get out the car. NONE, all it does is makes them look like none of them should be alive this far in. I can't believe it, I really can't believe the crazy of how they tried to justify that. If they were going to have it go this way, Gus should've just let that chick kill him at the house because him killing his Brother who was the most successful of the new world warlords would have been better alive. He could've saved human kind.

There was too much action, not enough story. The actual story was pretty thin. The buddy cop relationship was obvious and nothing new. Very surface. All this being said, I still enjoyed it.

Gus just keeps on going.
This is probably the best zombie series I've ever read. Even after 6 books, this story goes into new ways and never seems to tire. Gus the lead is going with Collie to kick some Leather arse and it's as glorious, shocking, bloody, and overall ruthless as the last 5 books.
I've enjoyed all of Mr. Blackmore's books but I hope this series will end soon as I hate seeing good stories get strung out for that one more adventure.
*I'm staring at you The Walking Dead
I gave it 4 stars because I felt some characters made choices they wouldn't do normally (surrendering, panicking) after everything they have gone through, but was added in to keep the story flowing.
If you want a zombie series to read don't think and just get this. Personally would recommend getting it on audio as R.C. Bray does a fantastic job of telling the story.

So begins a new chapter....with Uncle Jack
When Collie Jones said to our hero, the last true bastion of humanity, Gus Berry, "you lucky civvy you" I choked up. The problem with the MM series, is each release is better than the last. Don't ever stop Keith....

Addictive
i have enjoyed this series from the first to the last. R.C.Bray is the best narrator and this is a very well written story. Great characters with likeable heroes and evil villains. Hope there are more to come

Continues to be an amazing series
These books are awesome but anyone who had made it to this book doesn't need this review. If for some reason the author gets wind of this I just want to tell/ask Mr Blackmore to continue this series. Best characters, great drama, great story. Thankyou

Bloody terrific!
Got this book not knowing where else the story could go but it really didn’t disappoint! It’s probably the best one out of the series. What the hell am I going to do until the next one comes out!??
I just felt that one thing tested how far I can push my suspension of disbelief:
**SPOILER ALERT**
I simply can’t believe that Gus and Milo would have gotten out of the limo when the leather held a knife to a kid’s throat. I mean you make it this far into a zombie apocalypse your sense of self-preservation will override any urge to save strangers, including kids. All I could think while they were being tortured is; you dumb@$$es deserve it!
In spite of this this book is still a 5 star - Great work Keith! And as always fantastic narration RC Bray!

Hopefully not the last
Hard to imagine these could maintain the edge of you seat intensity across so many books - I thought that surely this would get stale but this may have been the best - that’s a hard call though
