Good information, too long for me

this is a great book but I understood the point about 45 minutes into the book. just very repetitive, and the author gives the same example to prove a slightly different point multiple times.

Material Meaningful, Production Pathetic

Background: I am using _Mindset_ as part of extra credit for a senior's HS class on Thinking, To prepare well, I am following the text while listening to the recording.
Overall: I highly recommend the material within this book/recording. The writing overcomes the poor production qualities of the recording.
Performance: The voice is tolerable; it does sound a little helium-like. At the same time, the reading was done well, with good pace, intonation, and inflection.
Production: My frustration comes from the production. The Introduction is inserted into the middle of one of the earlier chapters, forcing the rest of that chapter to be identified as as the next, within the navigation function. This will knock the rest out of sync. I'm only part of the way through, but I expect more problems. If I were the author or her manager, I'd be furious. I blame Amazon because, since they bought out Audible, the products, the downloading, the service have all been inferior and getting worse.

Longer than it needed to be

I enjoyed this book to a point but I thought too many of the points were belabored. The idea of a growth mindset is indeed a commendable one. I just got bored and skipped the last two chapters.

Needs more Growth

Great book outlining the different mindsets. The real challenge is that I was expecting actual strategies to help me get into a growth mindset, and there just wasn’t much of anything. Listen to the last chapter or two.

Good Platform to do introspection

Very insightful, it was a good platform to do introspection and and be brutally honest with yourself, but also be equipped with how to improve your mindset.

Useful Concept. Dragged out with the same Repeated message.

The overall message has some great takeaways & useful concepts that have real world application; however it got painful after the first few chapters. It’s 8 chapters of the same repeated message in MANY different case studies. I was hoping for some clear, concise actionable steps rather than having to read between the lines of unrelatable case studies. The key concepts of this book can easily be found on doing a little research on the fixed & growth mindset, save yourself laborious task of reading the whole thing. Not one i will be revisiting.

Too repetitive

I only made it through half the book. I found after the introduction it just repeated the same thing but in different circumstances. I found it too black and white in its approach. There weren’t strategies on how to change your mindset. I also bought this version because it was narrated by carol dweck. Only the introduction is. Then the pace changes to a much faster and harder to listen to style of narration. The reason why I stopped listening was because I felt it wasn’t adding any more beyond that if the introductory chapters. Finally, in the job I work making mistakes are very costly, this then nurtures tendencies towards the fixed mindset as mistakes have high consequences. I felt the book didn’t really deal at all with situations like this.
