Unique, entertaining, and surprisingly moving

I loved this listen! During the first few minutes I wasn't entirely sure what I was listening to, but I was intrigued. And as the story and relationships became clearer, I was drawn into a tale that became a combination of mystery quest, opposites attract rom-com, and moving family story. Characters are charming and unique, writing is quirky and engaging, sound design and music are beautiful. I began listening as I was doing the dishes and ended up cleaning the whole kitchen because I wanted to keep listening... which is a pretty high compliment!

What a lovely story!

What a lovely story!
Very well written and performed. While I enjoy regular audible books, the background effects really added to it. Reminded me of listening to stories on the radio before the time of TV. Goodness, I can’t believe I’m that old!
Fabulous story - really recommend it.

Weirdest audible original I've listened to

This title wasn't weird because of the content necessarily, but because of the tone and structure of the story. I couldn't tell what kind of story this was or what the point was until nearly the end. The weirdest part to me was the tone shift with about 15 minutes to go. The shift itself wasn't weird but the fact the entire story wasn't done like the last 15 minutes was confusing to me. The characters were more relatable, the pace was better, the story was clearer. The last 15 minutes of this title is a solid 4 stars and bumped my 1 star review to 2 stars. I would skip this one unless you are in the mood for something completely different. If you do listen to this, prepare yourself to hear the word "shoes" more than you EVER cared to hear it.

A love story

Took me a while to get into it because I was busy listening to the accents not the words, but once you get “hooked” you can’t wait to get to the end. A feel good ending.

Adventurous treasure hunt.

Wonderful story, infused with Iranian stories, shows and a treasure hunt. A perfect melody including the music in the background.
Short but jam packed with story, and characters I really enjoyed. Could not stop listening.

Beautiful immersive sound! Short story, very cute and meaningful. I loved it. Just have to get used to the accents if you’re American :)

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole story!

I don't write a lot of reviews, but as soon as I finished Miscellaneous 0125, I felt compelled! This story was well-performed, the narrators acted out the characters and drew me in, made me feel like I was in on the riddle! The hunt for beautiful shoes, the budding romance, the mystery, adventure, drama, loss, and redemption, was exceptional storytelling! Listening with the accompanying music and sound effects, which I first thought would distract, actually brought the story alive! I highly recommend you get a cup of coffee, a comfy chair, headphones, and devote 2 hours to escaping into this well-written story!

what the hell???

I actually have no clue what this stupid book was about. I couldn't understand the female narrator most of the time, which made what I could understand of the male narrator only half understandable. I didn't even bother to skip over to the end. What a waste of time. Glad I didn't pay for it.

Awful

Absolutely dreadful, I chose this because I adore Ryan and love his work but it couldn't even be saved by Ryan. The single start rating is no reflection upon the actors, as they say you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear ☹ I will be requesting a refund.

Absolutely adorable!!

I absolutely loved this story. It grabbed me from the very start and swept me along on the journey. I loved the riddles and treasure hunt and found the characters utterly heartwarming.

I feel like I have been on a treasure hunt of my own and this little gem was definitely the reward!

Incredibly well written and acted..... I can not wait for more

Patience will help you with this one

Storyline is full on, a Liverpool accent and fully emotional but if you can follow its a good story. Based on and enveloped in a riddle... try it and listen carefully.

Stunning, heartwarming and ingenious.

I listen to audiobooks or radio plays pretty much every day and rarely write reviews, but this deserves a mention for being such fine piece of work.

A wonderful piece of writing, I haven’t searched other work by this author yet but will definitely be doing that. The production and acting is a good as the best of BBC drama work. This would be a very difficult piece for two actors as it’s fast, tongue twisty stuff with emotions changing quickly. A listener could easily be wondering what they let themselves in for during the opening section - but stick with it as this is very rewarding. Bravo to all concerned.
