Excellent Contemporary Romance

Mismatch was a very unique story and totally different than anything I have read from Lisa Lace. She put a twist on the Billionaire romance by adding a second chance romance between high school sweethearts! It was definitely a big win for me!

Narration was well done and brought the story to life.

Lily is a free spirit that loves to paint. She had big plans for traveling when she was a teen but reality has kept her put since she graduated from high school. She lives in a small town in Arizona and she is still pursuing her dream of painting.

Ethan lost his mom when he was a teen and vowed to improve his financial situation. He leaves his high school sweetheart behind because he thinks she will not understand what he plans to do. Many years later, Ethan is a Billionaire working hard and ripping the benefits of hard work but he still feels empty.

Ethan’s rival, Vincent, gets matched with Lily but not all is what is seems. The new dating app pairs soulmates. You will have to read this book if you want to find out what happens next!!! I recommend this book to all Lisa Lace fans or anyone that enjoys contemporary romances with some steamy moments.

Insecure weak Heroine and thoughtless Hero

I really wanted to like this book. The blurb sounded so promising but the story did not live up to it. There were too many flash backs, made it difficult to follow the story line as a result. The h spent most of her time doubting herself, fixating on all the things she didn't like about herself, and this happened every time the story line was handed over to her. A person can only read so much of an ongoing internal self flagellation without going "OMG! Stop acting like a door mat in human form and start appreciating yourself." Unfortunately it got worse from there. The Hero, during one of the never ending flash backs, decides to make some significant life changes that did not include his current teenage girlfriend. So while she is rambling on about all their plans he's having a mental dialect with himself about how bad he feels that he's not going to be around to follow thru with any of it but not once does he actually voice any of this out loud. To make matters worse, he takes her virginity on prom night, then disappears in the middle of the night without a trace, note, or clue as to where he went, why, or what happened. His g/f spent days, weeks, months, trying to find out what happened to him or if he was even ok. Meanwhile he has left town to go to Columbia university without telling her. 10 years later he's holding a press conference about a new app he's made. Meanwhile he still thinks about her, even while he's living with his CURRENT g/f and having sex with her. Then his business rival steps in, using his own app against him, and connects with Lilly, his old g/f and flaunts it in his face. Of course THIS is what motivates the H to go back to his hometown to find the one he left behind. Not his love for her, but his macho p**sing contest with this other guy. So she's in a park walking with her friend talking about the new guy in her life when he shows up at said park. He just stands staring at her from a distance with a scowl on his face, like SHE did something wrong, until she notices him. He doesn't even go to her. He stands there until SHE comes to HIM. If I had been her the first thing I'd have done is slapped his face before spitting in it, then kicked him in the balls really really hard before stomping away. She didn't do this, instead she starts talking to him like they are long lost friends catching up on old times. At this point, he asks her out AND SHE ACCEPTS??? Her reasoning is she must get answers so this is how she'll do it. When he shows up on her door step he brings booze and this leads to them having sex, WITHOUT resolving the tiny abandonment issue or making him pay for his behavior in any way. At this point, I tossed the book into my circular DNF file. I am not a big fan of weak willed, wishy washy, insecure female characters who lack confidence or a back bone to stand up for themselves. I was so disgusted by this I had to pull out one my literary palette cleansers featuring a woman done wrong and made him work for his forgiveness story to get the bad vibes from this one out of my head. If you're the type who likes weak women in your romance novels, this book is perfect for you. My personal preference is the opposite so I didn't care for this book at all.

had potential...

This story started out really good. When the heroine slept with the H after their first meeting in 11 years without explanation why he left her ruined a good story. The back and forth was too much to enjoy the story. I skipped many chapters so I can get to the end. This story had potential but the h and the hero acted like children even years later. The story was well written but the sex during their first encounter ruined for me.

Computer Dating

Ethan and Vincent are business rivals. When Ethan creates a software program called Destiny to help everyone find their true love, Vincent decides to use the app against Ethan by dating Ethan's first love, Lily a free spirited painter,

Vincent's motives are more deceptive and Ethan must choose what's really important to him, but first has to do some serious soul searching to discover this, and revisit his own past.

Meghan Kelly is always a favorite and Connor Brown is a great match (pun intended) to this crazy competitive love story

A Great New Lisa Lace Book

Mismatched hit me by surprise, the story was different than other's that I had read by Lisa Lace. She took one of the boring love a billionaire books and create a wonderful story of reunion, and the endurance of love through everything.

Lily and Ethan were childhood sweethearts. Then Ethan leaves without even a Dear John, letter. Lily moves on with her life but never forgets her highschool sweethearts. Through time Lily grows in her artwork, in her life in her little town in Arizona.

Ethan Steele, owner and creator of a multi-billion dollar security systems firm, has found that there is sometimes trouble when your past is put into your face again. A new dating app has been created by Steele Industries claiming it can match you with your perfect someone.

Vincent Oswald, owner and creator of Oswald Industries, a competitor to Steele Inudstires, is determined to ruin Ethan Steele. He uses Ethan's matchmaking app to match himself with a girl from Arizona named Lily.

What will Lily do? Will she see Ethan or will he stay out of the picture? Will Vincent love her or is he playing with her? Grab a copy and you can learn all the answers. I would suggest this book to anyone interested in a good Lisa Lace, or even a good love story with some steamy scenes.

Did the dating app make a mistake? You wonder!

A great topic for a good contemporary Romance. Filling out profiles to help you find a perfect romantic partner is definitely what a person is supposed to do to nowadays. But, does the old-fashioned way of just knowing someone from the past work? The author set out a very interesting premise as the storyline for this book. I enjoyed it but would have liked it better, if there were a few more details about the feelings of the characters and the work that was necessary to develop the relationship. I guess, I wished the story was a bit longer because I really liked the topic. The other thing, I really enjoyed was the male narrator voice. Definitely, a great pick for the story.

Mismatch by Lisa Lace

MISMATCH is a wonderfully written second chance love story between a computer software wiz and his high school sweetheart, Lily. Ethan has designed a software program that will match people to their soulmates, but is finding it hard to convince his own true love of his sincerity. In the meantime, his greatest competitor is moving in on both his largest client and his girl. Will Ethan decide where his priorities lie in time to find happiness with his own true love? And is his true love Lily or the company he built from scratch?

Author Lisa Lace continues the matchmaking theme of her TerraMates series, but without the alien Sci-Fi aspect of the story. As always her characters have engaging personalities that draw you into their story, there's a huge conflict to resolve before their HEA, a bit of danger, great dialogue with plenty of humor, and a unique storyline. I really liked the story and felt the use of both a male and female for narration added depth to my experience making it even more enjoyable. 4 stars.

a great billionare romance

I received this book from my own free will for an honest review.

I was in awe, liked it so much. Let's begin with the characters, I always love them they are so real and have so many problems that can happen to anyone anywhere. Ethan was crazy, a little paranoic but that made relate to him more. Lily was so sweet but strong at the same time, she was the best.

the plot was steady and left me wanting more of this story, it was the perfect balance between romance, drama and sensuality.

now we need a series so Chloe have her chance to get a happy ending.
