Publisher's Summary

The delightful final installment of the beloved and New York Times best-selling Miss Julia series.

Wedding fever hits Abbotsville, and several of Miss Julia's friends have plans to tie the knot. But, as usual, nothing is so simple. Christy Hargrove suddenly gives up a lifelong dream and drops out of medical school to marry; Helen Stroud and Thurlow Jones decide to change their commercial arrangement into a marital one; and, to Miss Julia's consternation, Lillian, her housekeeper and closest companion, is considering a less-than-romantic offer to wed a local businessman who turns courting into a job interview. And then there's LuAnne, who just wants to be married, and Janelle, who doesn't.

Miss Julia wants to properly celebrate each ceremony, insofar as anyone will let her. But Helen wants a private, even secretive, wedding; Christy's fiancé wants a destination wedding; and Lillian can't decide if she wants a wedding at all. In the middle of it all, a strange figure keeps showing up in town, streaking across lawns and vandalizing the gardens of Miss Julia's neighbors. Abbotsville's liveliest resident finds herself trying to solve it all - matters of the heart and petty crime alike - and once again save the day.

Is It Really The End???

Miss Julia has been entertaining an interesting group of readers and listeners for years. The publisher says this is the final book in the series. There is so much more that the good folks of Abbotsville can do that , I hate to see this as the end.

Miss Julia, Helen, Lillian, LuAnne, Etta Mae, and all the rest are either in the process of wedding planning or trying to chase down the naked man terrorizing the older women in town. There are lots of laugh out loud moments as well as serious possibilities happening. Some at the same time.

I love this series and hope that sometime in the future this cast of characters will reappear to entertain us some more.

Thank You Ann B. Ross!!!

Truly a Treasure —- Hoping this really isn’t the end

I have loved the tales Miss Julia and her entire family since the very beginning; having discovered the Abbottsville citizens on a family road trip from Baltimore to Myrtle Beach.

Thank you Ann B. Ross for the many miles of enjoyment and wholesome fun.

I’m not mad

I can’t imagine my living in a world where I don’t get updates on Miss Julia and Lillian. I do like to think of them continuing on without time to let me know how they’re doing. I’m really , really going to miss Cynthia Darlow telling me about Abbotsville. Her voice is Miss Julia.

Miss Julia Happi!y Ever After

The narrator of the Miss Julia series is wonderful. She changes her voice and makes the characters seem so real. Some books that are narrated makes you go to sleep, but not Mrs Darlow ,she is great. I loved the book . I hope and pray this isn't the last one.

She'll be back! I just know she will! Loved it!

These are such wonderful books that are not peppered with cursing or R ratings. The Miss Julia series is based on a group of women's adventures while trying to help out a friends or mediate some of life's situations.
I hope Ann heals quickly and treats us with another Miss Julia or an equally fun series.
The good, the bad, the ugly, the funny and all three at times are navigated with amusing concern, fun and laughter by Miss Julia and her many colorful friends who are brought to life though the wonderful narration of Cynthia Darlow! I mean wow! She does a great job with each character having their own voice! Think Red Hat Club.

In this book, Happily Ever After you will ride along as Miss Julia weaves the stories of several of her friends as they are considering, planning and somewhat mystified by generational thoughts, traditions, expectations and needs when it comes to marriage. . How well do you know the person you are willing to give your heart and vows too? What is their motivation?
If you have a person that you love but sometime scratch your head at the things that comes out of their mouth but are glad they did, then you will be at home with Miss Julia books. She is a hoot!

Personally, I don't find anything about any of her books offensive because they are an older generation's backbone brought to life through the character's ability to share wisdom, love, laughter, pain and perspective.
Again, She is often funny, sometime irreverent, strong minded, sympathetic, and quite honestly a bit of a busy body but for the most part I have always felt her intentions while amusing and good.

Ann B. Ross, Thanks for this fun series where I felt your presence and in ways that made me smile. I hope you really do move forward with your own Happily Ever After and let those who don't get you or have missed you completely go!

Cynthia Darlow, Your narration is and has always been exceptional! I have actually looked for books that you have narrated because your voice projects the characters and brings them to life!
I'll be looking out for Ann and Chythia's books!

Let me know if you find this helpful. I listen a lot and hope my review helps.
