A conqueror is only as strong as his assets...and for Auroro, assets can come in the form of dozens of varieties of monster girls.

After telling a goddess of love and passion that I would conquer her, I was dropped into another world: Mistrim.

I have no memory of who I was, I have a wicked awesome power born from my desires, and I have a timer on my arm counting down to my death.

Not the worst starting point, I would say.

But where there is adversity, there is the opportunity for good fortune.

Elves, werewolves, harpies, bunny girls, and more—Mistrim is inhabited by all manner of monsters given humanoid forms—Sentients. And, as I found out, harems are commonplace in Mistrim. I can already feel something awakening in me.

Hmm? That pesky timer? I can add time to my lifespan by engaging in activities that only a goddess of love and passion would approve of. A playful one, that one.

Hold on, a beautiful elf is looking at me funny.... She must be enamored with my visage. Oh, wait, she looks angry.

The book is worth giving it a shot

A little context for my review. I tend to take it easy on the first and last book of any series as not every series makes it to “The End” and the first of anything can be a shaky endeavor, to say the least. I also try to make clear the distinction between the quality of the writing/performance of the author/narrator and my personal tastes should they differ. This is the first book that I have gotten for Sebastian Guzman and the first time that I've listened to a performance by Andrew Pond. This story is performed by a single narrator. The narration in my opinion was top notch. At the time of this review the narrator appears to have approximately 39 other audiobooks up on audible. As for the writing I believe that it was solid all around and when you take that into account for the first of a new series that's fairly impressive in and of itself. This is the first audiobook for this author, and it appears to have been the first book the author ever put up on Amazon. This series has five entries thus far and the author has the first book of two additional series’ available up on Amazon. In other words, he appears to be a relatively new author in the beginning of his career. The story begins with our hero, if you can call him that, awakening in front of a goddess who makes a deal with him where he has to go down and collect a bunch of women in order to win his way back to her and take her for his own. In the beginning of the story, it appears as though our hero may have misinterpreted the deal, but due to the fact that he's got a countdown to his death which was only minutes away upon entering the new world it is arguably understandable why he wouldn't be so focused on the details for which I will remind everybody that the devil is in the details. Now for me personally the opener was something that I'm personally not a fan of. So much so that it definitely puts me on the fence as to whether or not I would want to continue the series. To be clear this is a matter of personal tastes and has nothing to do with the quality of the writing. As the book progresses it does get better in my opinion. Lastly, I'm just going to say thank you to everybody who had a hand in bringing this book to us the audible listeners.

not for me

It wasn't funny to me. No char acts with sane motivations. It's a cartoon world with cartoon chars.

A fun story

Its a fun take on the sent to another world by a God story. The narrators did a good job and after a few chapters the story picked up pretty smoothly. I will be waiting for book 2 to come out.

Gradual

This was an interesting and pretty well written book. It is slow but I don't mind slow paced. MC actually has great growth throughout book.

great start to a new adventure

For those like me who have grown tired of human on human fantasy relationships this is a great listen main character is not op nice setting and the side characters don't take a backseat to the hero. not a slow burn when it comes to fun time either.

Wow, just wow!

What a great way to start a new series. This was freaking incredible. This is the first book I have read by Sebastian Guzman but I’m officially a fan now. Keep of them great work!

Slow Build with A Hilarious MC!

Okay this book took it's time to really get going but once the reach the city this book really takes off.

The MC is revived from the afterlife by the goddess of Lust & Desire but can't recall any of hos previous memories.

He makes a wager with her that he can safely traverse a life on a new world where he has a countdown to his death constantly looming over his head and as a reward he will meet the goddess again. At first I wasn't sure where the book was going but it did a great job in taking it time to flesh out the characters giving them all a unique personality instead of just cookie-cutter fill in's.

I'll be sure to pick up the sequel when it's released.
