Dark But Sexy, Intriguing and Pure Drama - Great!
I was reluctant to try this book mainly due to the publisher summary. I have listened to the Dark Duet series and it was a really, really, intense, hard trip. Monster in His Eyes sounded very much like that (CJ Roberts)
Two things finally swayed me to give it a try. 1. My best audio book friend, Dawn absolutely loved it. She RAVED about it. We are so similar in our tastes that when we compared our libraries they were almost identical. However, I needed one more little push. 2. It is narrated by Lynn Barrington, one of my favorite 'Top Three' female narrators.
I am so glad that I listened! It is fantastic! I read the author's previous two audio books and I cannot believe the change. The other two were NOT something I would recommend, ever. This book is absolutely fantastic. The maturity and professionalism of the writing in 'Monster in His Eyes' is off the charts good compared to the previous series, in my opinion.
If you like a little bit of a mind trip, as well as a super sexy book, I think that you will like this one as well. If you do not like going to "dark" places you may not like it. I am glad that I gave it a try. *I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my review. Again, I am so glad that I gave it a try and cannot wait for the sequel, I want it now!
Lynn Barrington is the consummate professional. It amazes me that she is performing the character of an 18-year-old girl one moment and in the next breath she is just as believable performing "the monster" Ignacio - in I an equally believable manner. Professionalism and talent on display. If you are considering becoming a voice actor, listen to Lynn Barrington and learn!

Great narration.... great storyline....the love story could of used some depth ..... but overall brava!!! I usually do not enjoy books that leave you hanging .... I cannot wait for book two. If it is as good as this one ... I believe this author will be around a while!

Wow what an amazing book
What made the experience of listening to Monster in His Eyes the most enjoyable?
The narrator was great, and the story keeps you wondering, and anticipating whats next.
What other book might you compare Monster in His Eyes to and why?
I wouldn't compare it to others, this is why I love it so much. It's in its own class.

I am so glad I took a chance on this book. They don't have the second on on audible but I went out and bought it and now I am sad that I am done reading them. I also never write reviews but I had to on this on because the author deserves it!

Just skimmed the surface!
Wow, I really liked these characters and their history but I need to know way more. This listen really lacked depth and detail, there was so much more to the story that could have been written! The sex scenes were way to basic for this couple and need jacked up about 100%. I enjoyed the narrator. I am stumped as to why the author went this way with her story, maybe there will be more to come.

What made the experience of listening to Monster in His Eyes the most enjoyable?
The story sucks you in, it's impossible to put down once you start.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Monster in His Eyes?
There were lots! I don't want to give anything away... Let's just say one of the many hot and heavy sex scenes.

Yes, although at times the book is a little 'dark', it could not be ignored... Much like Naz

If you like your super hot mysterious males to be a little dark and slightly scary, you'll love this book. The story flows well and the narration is brilliant too. I can not wait for other books in the series to be added to audible.

awesomeness is the key
I loved this book from the very beginning and end amd I laughed I got to excited when. I first open this book and got to here the audio with it. it was qas just to die for. I was so hook on every single page and I wanted so much more for this book and audio. this is a first time I have read this author and I'm so happy I did I will be looking forward to reading the next book and hopeful a audio with it soon.

Loved Nas!!
I had few friends that listened and thought Nas was cold and unfeeling so it took me a long time to try it. I LOVED it!! I thought he was everything I love in a male character. strong, a bit of an a jerk, makes no apologies. I think my friends read another book!

Love Naz!
This was such a great book! Naz is such a great character! He's not a good a man, but doesn't hide that fact either. I think if I were Karissa, I woould have fallen for him too! J.M. Darhower is an amazing writer!

honestly I'm disappointed that I've purchased it. one of the worst audiobooks I listened to, story wise. suitable for 15 years old girls maybe. good narration though. Thanks God I know the author can do so much better. I can't even compare this to the "Menace", "Grievous" which are brilliant.

Exciting slow builder
This was a pleasant surprise. Karissa is an 18 year old student of an over protective and over bearing single parent. She is living in the dorms at university and one night meets Naz, a man twice her age. There is an instant connection. Karissa is naive, insecure and impressionable, I love the fact she's a curvy young woman, usually in these type of books they're always slender. Naz is confident, honest, handsome.. but a monster. He is selective with the truth he shares with Karissa and later in the book we find out why.
The action builds slowly and by the end I was chomping at the bit for next instalment.

INTRIGUING WITH TWISTS AND TURNS. MAFIA ROMANCE
Book one of two
Interesting and filled with suspense.
Why would a 36 year old man be interested in an 18-year-old student? and why would an 18-year-old intelligent woman not realise the man she was falling in love with was high up in the Mafia.
I was intrigued especially when lies started to unfold and the twists and turns started to come.
Naz is a powerful man that doesn't waste words and Karisssa's excuse I suppose for being completely blind is she is completely captivated and under his spell.
Brilliantly written and so hot. Looking forward to book 2
Listened in audio and the narration was brilliant.

Wow!!!!
I can't believe it took so long to discover this stunning story, and I devoured it in one sitting! Naz is every girl's darkest fantasy. It's rare that the author allows you to fall in love with the villain. Just give me the villain with a tragic backstory. Can't wait to dive into book two.

Thought the story was okay, probably would have been better if the story was in both of the characters point of view because Naz was hard to actually like. The narrator was awesome though, she did a great job defining all the characters
