Eye-opening and incredibly resourceful Montessori

I bought this on another parent's recommendation and I’m really glad I did. It helped me understand more about where my child is developmentally and what realistic expectations and boundaries I can try to set. I can say it’s the most inspirational parenting and life book I’ve read. I’ve struggled hard. Alone. Completely isolated. I needed this book far sooner than I found it, but I’m so happy we crossed paths. If anyone is looking for information on seething up a Montessori style at home, I’d definitely recommend this.

Great gentle parenting guide!

Fabulous book! Highly recommend! Since social distancing I was worried about how to continue Montessori at home with my boys (they usually attend Montessori preschool). This book provides amazing support, tips, techniques, and a wide range of easily achievable activities. I was exhausted and frustrated constantly. This book gave me confidence along with some new tools to stay calm while supporting and teaching my children with love and respect. I really appreciate Health Medicine's effort. Very timely and updated Montessori book.

Surprisingly interesting Montessori book

This book as been my baby manual. Such a helpful guide for the approach of implementing Montessori principals at home. I particularly found the activities and the childhood schema super helpful. Goes way way beyond setting up the shelf and helps you understand how to have a Montessori-informed relationship. Such a great book!! Lots of very helpful, practical tips and suggestions. My only regret is that this wasn't published sooner.

The best Montessori book I've come across

This is a great book for parents who wants to get to know about Montessori way. The book is very clear in what to do and what not. Well written and not boring at all. It breaks down Montessori in an easy and inviting manner. The chapters build together to give you a full view of Montessori at home without overwhelming feeling like you need to change everything. Cannot wait for the Montessori baby book coming out in May!

Perfect at-home Montessori method guide

This book has been great so far! The information inside is just as enjoyable. It has helped me start implementing Montessori activities in our home. I’m enjoying listening to it from beginning to end, but I have also bounced around a bit to check out chapters with topics I’m specifically interested in. I would recommend this book to anyone looking into Montessori. I’ve already totally reorganized my daughter’s playroom, and it’s been a big success. Less mess, and she seems to like that everything is separated into unique activities.

Wish I could buy it earlier.

I really wish I met this book before my daughter got one year old so that I could have had a head start. Clearly, this guide was comprehensive and well-written, and I want to recommend for any caregiver. I’m not far into it but already glad with my purchase. I’m learning more and begin to apply some Montessori principles with my daughter. I can tell this book can be my pareting bible in the next few years, lol. Seriously, parents need to know this kind of stuff to make their life much easier as well as enjoy the time with their babies.

Helpful resource on Montessori & gentle parenting!

I was a first grade teacher, and now I’m a stay-at-home mom and struggle with my own children now. Well, my five-year-old son is super active and also curious to consitantly seek stimulations. Honestly, I feel I was just keeping correcting him for some not appropriate behaviors. So I began to search for ways to modify our home environment. And I’m happy I came across this book and picked it. I can say it’s a game changer for me. After learning those Montessori methods included in this book, I now have actionable strategies and theory enabling me to look at my son’s actions appropriately. Awesome! Let it guide our parenting to boost our children’s overall happiness.

So informative! Beginners Must have!

I love how comprehensive of this book. This book is absolutely fantastic and super helpful, particularly when you’re a beginner Montessorian Mom! I think it’s great for both parents to read a little together every day to stay on the same page regarding their parenting & discipline. It’s explained in such an easy-to-understand way. I love the modern explanation of things as well as the way the author explained everything! I would recommend to all parents, preferably to begin reading before the baby is one year old.

Encouraging and Sweet!

My child became a confident and ecstatic person thanks to this book. Having adopted a 2.5-year old boy and having very limited childcare experience, this book was a lifesaver for me. It gave me goals to set for myself and guidelines for setting up the house to teach and naturally engage a toddler. I would not have known what my child was capable of doing and how to challenge him in a fun, reasonable way without the aid of this book.

Clear, to the point, and effective.

This is the best parenting book I've read so far. It's not only a great one-time listen, but it's used as a sort of reference book in my home whenever I'm looking for ideas on activities to do with my children or thoughts on how to handle various aspects of toddler development. So I’ll buy a paperback version too. And as a plus, it's beautifully designed and has strong, thick pages, which is very helpful when my toddler grabs it!

This book actually tells you to look outside the box of conventional consumerist-style parenting, to find inexpensive or natural elements or items you already own as you work with your kid's development. Of course we don't all have the time, money, or space to do the more specific suggestions perfectly all the time, but we can find helpful advice for how to slowly incorporate these principles into our kids' lives. Take as much of it as you want and use it as a guide, do Montessori imperfectly or as much as you want to, and this book will help you immensely along the way. I'm very grateful I came across it.

Extremely Helpful for All Aspects of childhood.

This is such a great book for ideas on learning through playing for babies and toddlers. I also think it could be good for kids of any age that have learning challenges. It gives examples of toys you could purchase or items you already have in your home. It appeals to those who appreciate a sense of orderliness, not just throwing all the toys into one big toy box. This book is so insightful for learning about children. It makes me wish that I could sit down in the author’s kitchen and have a cup of tea/tea/wine with her!

Thank you HealthMedicine for crafting this awesome Montessori book with all your inputs, years of experiences, and wisdom about children. Raising a child is such a tough job, and for me requires huge tank of mindfulness, respect and love. Of course this book deserves a space in every home, library, and heart of every caregiver.

Ultimate Montessori Guide.

I’m an early childhood educator so I have knowledge regarding child development and working with infants and toddlers.I worked at a Montessori for 7 months in 2018 and I wished this book has been published while I worked there! Everything makes more sense after reading this! I felt the educators were really rigid in their ways and overall felt that the center was not the right fit for me. I like some aspects of the philosophy such as following the interests of the child, hands-on learning, and encouraging the independence of the child. I cannot recommend this book to parents and educators more!
