What if? Fanfic

I really enjoyed the 5 preceding novels, even with Elena grunting all the time. This novel reads like FanFiction. Elena and Blake have been shaped by their experiences, thats what made them who they are at the beginning of the novel. **Spoiler alert** But as soon as Elena finds out Blake can travel back in time, she becomes obsessed with having her mother back, consequences be damned. She has a child? No matter, the author provides a convenient excuse to justify wiping out her existence. All the other people born after she and Blake plan to change the past? Forget them, they're not important! Constance? Never mind her feelings or her marriage to the king. Time travel books are almost always full of inherent flaws and paradoxes. Blake only agrees to time travel after getting visited by his future self - but since he changes the past, that Blake will never exist! Chaos theory applies - small changes to your past can result in huge repercussions - for example, you might still have kids, but they wouldn't be the same kids. So in this new timeline, do we get a villain? Challenges to overcome? Life or death? We get teen angst. After 5 novels with everyone's fate hanging in the balance, the worst thing that happens in this book is the death of Elena's pet monkey. Seriously. Oh, and Elena gets to be a virgin again. She gets everything she wanted, no consequences. Sacrificing her daughter? No problem, they'll meet in the afterlife. Wouldn't introducing new substantial conflict as a consequence of messing with time have been a better approach? Adult Blake has sex with 16 year old Elena and justifies it to Tabitha since the two of them had sex when they were both 16. That'll get you arrested on the other side of the wall, buddy! And for the first time, the author pushes a Christian belief on her readers, right on the first page. Stick with the original 5 books.

Amazing

I love the way the author writes. And the narrators bring the story even more to life. I felt as though I was right there in the book living it along side them all. I laughed, cried got annoyed and cried some more. I am a writer as well and hope that my stories someday will be just as magical!

Everything about this book is amazing

This wraps up the story so perfectly. What happened before in the previous books HAD to happen to get here. The difference in the characters growing up in a totally different environment is so believable and well done.
