Story
Ryan "Quicksave" Romano is an eccentric adventurer with a strange power: he can create a save-point in time and redo his life whenever he dies. Arriving in New Rome, the glitzy capital of sin of a rebuilding Europe, he finds the city torn between mega-corporations, sponsored heroes, super-powered criminals, and true monsters. It's a time of chaos, where potions can grant the power to rule the world and dangers lurk everywhere.

Story
Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. Arrogant Masters? Heavenly Tribulations? All that violence and bloodshed? Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here. Farm life sounds pretty great. Tilling a field by hand is fun when you’ve got the strength of ten men—though maybe I shouldn’t have fed those Spirit Herbs to my pet rooster.

Publisher's Summary
Zorian Kazinski has all the time in the world to get stronger, and he plans on taking full advantage of it.
A teenage mage of humble birth and slightly above-average skill, Zorian is attending his third year of education at Cyoria's magical academy. A driven and quiet young man, he is consumed by a desire to ensure his own future and free himself of the influence of his family, resenting the Kazinskis for favoring his brothers over him. Consequently, Zorian has no time for pointless distractions, much less other people's problems.
As it happens, though, time is something he is about to get plenty of.
On the eve of Cyoria's annual summer festival, Zorian is murdered, then abruptly brought back to the beginning of the month, just before he was about to take the train to school. Finding himself trapped in a time loop with no clear end or exit, he will have to look both within and without to unravel the mystery set before him. He does have to unravel it, too, because the loop clearly wasn’t made for his sake, and in a world of magic even a time traveler isn't safe from those who wish him ill.
Fortunately for Zorian, repetition is the mother of learning….

Excellent story, good male voices, bad female voices
The story was fantastic.
On the con side, I went from turning the volume down to fast forwarding the mc’s sister. He really should not voice female characters. Recommend bringing on a female to help with their voices for the second book.

Great tale, rough narration
Exceptional story in a very well-developed world! The narrator does a fine job in general, but female voices are performed jarringly with snobbish and whiny tones. Strongly recommend a different narrator (at least for female voices).

I love this story, I've read it multiple times and still find new things to like.
Having the option to enjoy this in audio format is an absolute delight, and I may or may not have binged the whole thing in a couple of days.

Legendary! Best audio book of this decade!!!
The story is incredible. Lovely details, never boring, unexpected plot twists.
The characters are fascinating and all develop in their own way, really well written!
What to say about the narration... I love it.
Jack Voraces is a young and very talented man who made this already amazing story come to life. In my opinion, the British accent and the character voices add to the story perfectly.
So 5 stars for the best audio book I've ever listened to so far.
Can't wait for the rest of it :)

A long one
A few things to keep in mind about this story.
1. This first audiobook doesn't end with the kind of closure you might expect from a book. Some might call it a cliffhanger, but to be it's just a good story taking its time to tell the story properly.
2. The narration is very.. idiosyncratic. He's talented, but it took me a few hours to get used to the cringy dialogue, childlike tone and excess of odd Scottish/Irish accents. I honestly thought I'd quit, but I'm glad I didn't.
At first, the story feels like it lacks substance, and the sentences are overly convoluted, but it gets a lot better. The time-loop repetition is quite well done and gives you many angles to look at the main character's situation. If you like seeing things from different perspectives (despite it being written from only one PoV), this is your book.
3. The main character grows. And there's depth to that growth. And the story doesn't fixate on his idiosyncrasies for very long. His angst goes away quickly enough.
4. It's good and very well paced. I hated it when I started it, but now that it's over I feel an odd sense of satisfaction despite the story being nowhere near done or tied up. Definitely one I'll check again later. (Later edit: now that I've completed the whole written story, I am so very sad it couldn't go on for longer. It was beautifully done and one of my favourite fantasy stories)
5. The setup is quite unique. The main character is more of a sidelines guy because of his personality. Analytical and exceptionally cautious. He doesn't make stupid mistakes.

Amazing
This book is awesome the story starts off a slow with a boy going to a school for mages but events suddenly take a turn for the worse and ends up being pulled into a time loop and starts to methodically improve his skills and figure out what’s going on and also improves as a person. Highly recommend this book and cannot wait for the rest of the story to be released the narrator also does an excellent job with great characterisations very enjoyable to listen to.

for a book heavily based on time looping, it keeped the story fresh and interesting. narrator did a fantastic job, he pulled off the funny moments and also gave each character depth.if you like books that describe magic, its strengths and weaknesses as well as the protagonist developing there skills, i think you will like this book. give it a try. well done to the author, cant waith for sequel.

Amazing story, iffy narration
I love this story. I’ve read it at least ten times. Perhaps thats why the narration puts me off so much. The author has a good voice that he uses for narrative text and the main character.
However, he uses a variety of silly sounding accents for each character that almost all feel a bit fake and out of place to me. Most characters are a variation of welsh, irish, scottish, or an odd sounding chinese. More subtle voice variations would have worked a lot better.
Also its Kael, NOT Kyle xD.

The Irish accent given to one of the characters is unintelligible and the female voices are so high pitched at places to be that I couldn't make out what was being said.
I'd say give this a miss and read the book.

Narration takes some getting used to
Pretty good. I always like a good time loop story. The narration, however, was absolutely insane and way over the top. I kept thinking, 'Wow, that's an interesting choice for a character voice, that's going to get annoying really quickly'. I couldn't help thinking how much more enjoyable this book would have been if they had gone with a different narrator.

This was tough...bear with me...
This narrator is TERRIBLE. His accents are appalling and his pacing was really off.
I was going to ask for a credit and Not finish the tale. But then I read the other reviews and the common thread was "rubbish narrator, great story".
So I persevered. And they were right.
Give this story time to catch you and you will appreciate it. The story is That good!
Note to the author: invest in a better narrator. Luke Daniels or Nick Podehl etc. Your story is wonderful and it's being hurt by this guy and his constipated accents.

Very enjoyable. If you’re on the fence I highly recommend getting this.
It took me a while to get in to the book as I had to get used to the narrator. But I enjoy time loop stories and this keep me interested the whole way through the entire 22 hours.
Kudos to the author for releasing this book for 22 hours as so many other authors are releasing books shorter than 10. So extra star for you. 🙂
Overall, I highly recommend this book it was very enjoyable and I look forward to the next one.

Slow start but worth it.
Been putting off getting this for ages but final bought it. Start was a little slow but not bad, it was just setting everything up properly. Just like all the other reviews I read it was really good. The MC is done extremely well and come off quite clever and reasonable as apposed to plot armoured. Definitely worth getting just sad book 3 isn't done yet since book 2 will really not last until it does.

Great story but WOW the accents are bad
Time loops are a great fit for progression fantasy - the story is a lot of fun.
The series needs a new narrator though, or the narrator needs a vocal coach - the bad accents are simply painful to listen to, especially the ‘Scottish’ ones

Great theme, consistent world building and fun
The theme of going to school again, where things are tested and there is competition to get the best grades is approachable and compelling. The time loop is written well. The universe is consistent, the characters motivations make sense and the author doesn’t shy away from using the time loop multiple times.
The narrator is great for the main character. They pause and speak in a very Zorian manner. Unfortunately, their voices for the other characters tend to be annoying. Though the voices are mediocre rather than bad.
Overall, highly recommended.

Hot Damn!
A highly recommended story! It kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting more. I can't wait for the rest to be released to audible!
The voice actor can get a bit grating with accents/genders but that comes down to personal tastes and all in all they have done a marvelous job!

This is hands down my favourite audiobook
Jack voraces is an amazing narrator and really gives life and humour to every single character. I can tell he’s passionate about the story and cares about his performance and it’s really paid off because it’s wonderful!
Overall an amazing story with great characters and a wonderful plot. I was apprehensive at first about a “time loop” because I’m not usually interested in those sorts of stories but the author has done a magnificent job of making the story interesting and engaging.
