Publisher's Summary

In the latest in the USA Today best-selling series, someone writes a recipe for murder....

Jessica loves the Fin & Claw restaurant, owned by young couple Brad and Marcie. And the restaurant is the couple's dream come true. But when famed chef Gerard Leboeuf decides to open an eatery right next to theirs, tensions rise fast and hot - and lead to a nasty confrontation between Leboeuf and Brad. So when Leboeuf is found dead with a knife planted in his chest, Brad becomes suspect number one. But plenty of others had a motive to kill Leboeuf, and it's up to Jessica to uncover who really added murder to the menu.

Narrator is perfect

I loved this. You are right in Cabot cove Maine bicycling with Jessica. Seeing old friends. The sheriff the mayor. Etc. the narrator is so close to sounding like Angela Lansbury. Evokes warm nostalgic feelings and is a well written mystery to boot.

Decent

I m finding these stories to be unnecessarily wordy. The story was predictable but good just long.

slow moving

Not as exciting as the usual series and I found it more difficult to differentiate between the characters unless the narrative described each one by name

Typical he said, she said, I said, type of story.

I remember my grandmother watching the tv series of Murder She Wrote and back then it was fascinating how Jessica Fletcher would solve any murder. Trying to relive my past through the audiable version of Murder She Wrote: Killer in the Kitchen, on my way to and from work has been just disappointing. I guess that now that I’m 36, and half way in my Masters program it’s obvious that the writing in these murder stories are elementary. There is way to much he said and she said and I said. But I figured that there is an audience for it, just not me. Best of luck to anyone that loves this type of writing.

The last names of the two main families cracks me up.

She AMAZINGLY wrote murder!

I love these books! Sandra Burr gives an amazing narration of wonderful material. Every month, when I get new Audible credits, I pick up another title in this series.
I cannot say enough about how close to the show these books are, nor can much I love them. STELLAR! 5 STARS!
