Publisher's Summary

Jessica Fletcher finds herself in an incredibly compromising situation, awakening on a lobster boat adrift in Cabot Cove to discover she's not alone: there's a dead body aboard.

Jessica soon finds herself in a swirling investigation that involves the sleepy town of Cabot Cove and its lobstermen. The town wants to throw a gala pageant to attract tourists, and the town's board wants the lobstermen to hold off selling recent harvests in order to serve the inevitable demand. The fishermen are not pleased with this strain on their livelihoods. Tempers begin to flare, but no one could foresee that the escalation of accidents and mishaps would end in murder... with Jessica at the center of it all.

Enjoyable

It was a nice, fun book, entertaining, light, and clean. So far I have found all of the books in this series to be the same.
I would've prefered the narrator to have given Mort a New York accent. Otherwise she did a great job.

Interesting Story and Wonderfully Read

What made the experience of listening to Murder, She Wrote: The Maine Mutiny the most enjoyable?

I know all the characters in the Maine mysteries and I feel like I am at home whether Jessica Fletcher is traveling or staying at home. The mysteries wonderful to listen to as you feel as though you are in Maine with Jessica.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jessica of course

What about Cynthia Darlow’s performance did you like?

Loved her, she sounds just like Jessica sounds in all her Murder she wrote mysteries.Great accent.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

A little of both. Sadness about the murder, and funny how some of the descriptions others involved.

Any additional comments?

You can never go wrong with a Murder She Wrote mystery. Interesting, clean content and gives you hours of enjoyment if you are a fan as I am.

Listening to these stories makes me wish the show was still on with Angela Lansbury.

Return to Cabot Cove

The only critique I have is I find it annoying that when the dialogue is being read it is just she said, he said. I like for my conversations to flow a bit better, but I enjoyed taking another trip back to Cabot Cove.

Best in the Series (That I've Read)

Would you consider the audio edition of Murder, She Wrote: The Maine Mutiny to be better than the print version?

I didn't read the print so I'm not sure, but I think the Narrator is great.

What does Cynthia Darlow bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The different voices are very good. She's not EXACTLY Jessica's voice from the TV show, but she still delivers a performance that really grows on you.

Any additional comments?

This book is the best I've read in the series (also enjoyed Domestic Malice), and I think it's because it takes place actually in Cabot Cove. I think that's where these books are the strongest.
