Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi Do It Again!
If you could sum up My Bluegrass Baby in three words, what would they be?
Super witty romance.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Kelsey is quick witted and sexy and I can't wait for the third installment of this series so that I can read about her romance.
Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Amanda Ronconi is alway stellar. She picks up on the nuances of Harper's language and makes me laugh out loud. They are a great team. I always read the book first and then listen to the audible version when I am commuting to the office. At this point I hear Amanda's voice whenever I read Harpers books for the first time.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I lauged the whole time. Harper is a comedic genius!

Another winner in my book!
If you could sum up My Bluegrass Baby in three words, what would they be?
funny, hilarious, side-splitting
What did you like best about this story?
That it was written by Molly Harper! I knew I was in for a good laugh!
What about Amanda Ronconi’s performance did you like?
She is one of my favorite narrators of Molly Harper's books. She really brings the characters to life. The way she portrays their snarkiness is spot on!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Of course but, I have two young children so, not possible!
Any additional comments?
Molly is pretty much my favorite author right now! :-D Love her stuff! I can't get enough of her humor and the perfect way she pulls you right into her stories. The main characters for all of her books are strong, clumsy and hilarious! So relatable! Can't wait to read more!!!

Made me want to visit Kentucky!
Would you listen to My Bluegrass Baby again? Why?
Yes, and I will. It was very entertaining and I love Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi together.
What was one of the most memorable moments of My Bluegrass Baby?
Vent Haven Museum.
What about Amanda Ronconi’s performance did you like?
I love the way she brings every character to life with just a slight change in her inflection or pitch. You always know who is talking without being told.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
All of the parts in the book moved me in different ways. It mostly made me laugh and smile while listening.
Any additional comments?
I love the chemistry Molly Harper creates with her characters. They come off the page or out of your headphones as real people that you want to see happy and loved and then you want to go do a movie night with them or join their book club.

Smiles, giggles and belly laughs...
This is a light romance that is so much fun to read. Every Molly Harper book will make you smile, giggle and laugh out loud. A bit heavy on the Visit Kentucky propaganda but its hilarious so it didn't bother me. As for the narration: Amanda Ronconi was born to narrate Molly Harper's book. She gets the sense of humor and cannot do a better job.

Another HIT with Harper!!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I am a lover of comedy and romances!! Molly, in my opinion is one of the great ones to combine both into a memorable story you don't want to put down! Her quirky comebacks she uses makes me really "LOL"!! I love that Amanda Ronconi is back to read!!
My Bluegrass Baby wasn't what I was expecting AND I LOVE THAT!! Im a HUGE fan of her Jane Jameson series and Naked Werewolf series, that I was a little hesitant with her switching things on me. Harper can write about any genre and make it good! I would honestly read anything she writes. She can write a book about a leftover TV dinner who didn't like the fork, and I know it would be good ;)
I was a little sad there wasn't as many "love" scenes but this story didn't even give you a chance to think about that until you're done with the book
Defiantly worth the credit OR just out right pay for it!

Another Great Harper-Ronconi Hit!
What other book might you compare My Bluegrass Baby to and why?
I'd compare it to "And One Last Thing" also written by Molly Harper and narrated by Amanda Ronconi. Both books feature Harper's expert wit and Ronconi's ability to bring the characters to life. Both stories feature a strong female lead with a romantic struggle. If you haven't listened to "And One Last Thing", I highly recommend it!

My Review:
Overall... 4.50 star
Performance.... 4.75 star
Story... 4.50 star
This is a short book for an unabridged audio, but it is not short on story. I enjoyed every minute of it.
Sadie has been promised her boss's job. It's a done deal. He's retiring and has been training her to do it, but she gets blindsided when the state brings someone else in for the job. She's not happy. Her boss isn't happy. The only one that is happy is Josh, the new guy. But her boss comes up with a plan. They both need to come up with a marketing campaign for the KY State Fair and they will let the people of Kentucky decide who gets the job. Needless to say, things become VERY contentious in the Kentucky Tourism Department which is tough because this is a small, close-knit group of people.
For Sadie, these people and this job are her life. This is all she does from sun-up to sun-down. Her coworkers are her family and they have a very unusual work relationship. Throwing Josh into that mix upsets the balance of everything. He doesn't understand their eclectic group of people....he's most definitely the outsider.
But on the other hand is Josh and you can't help to feel for him too. He had no idea what he was walking into. He moved here for this job, thinking it was a done-deal. It's not his fault that he wasn't aware of the politics at work. He's had his own really rough road and his backstory is heartbreaking.
This book is a perfect example of why I love Molly Harper's books. It's witty and fun. I can't tell you how many times I laugh out loud when listening to them. Amanda Ronconi is the perfect narrator on M. Harper's books. She gets the humor and always uses the perfect inflections at just the right time. There is one scene in this book that is so cruel to Josh, but omg, it was so funny! I spent my whole day cleaning my house just so I could listen to this book all the way through in one sitting...yes, it's that good.
I highly recommend it and now am feeling like I should take a trip to Kentucky.

I am a huge Molly Harper fan even though being English sometimes I do not have a clue what she is talking about. However, humour is humour. You are either funny or you are not. Molly Harper has my type of wit & I really do giggle at her writing. This is a really sweet story which is beautifully read. I would recommend it to anyone.

Very Read/Listenable as Always
Where does My Bluegrass Baby rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is a book I will listen to again and will put on in the car when my husband and I are travelling. He does not like Vamp/Wolf stories and so this would be fine for both of us. It reaches the Molly Harpers amusing high standard as usual.
What did you like best about this story?
I really enjoyed the way Sadie Hutchins fights for what she wants - stands her ground and speaks her mind.
What about Amanda Ronconi’s performance did you like?
I like Amanda Ronconi she is the voice of Molly Harper

The perfect combination of romance and humour
What does Amanda Ronconi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
She is a vital part of the story, it was made to be read by her.
Any additional comments?
Sadie has been working for the Kentucky Tourism Commission for years and has forgone a love life in return for great friends and co-workers and fun trips to weird and wonderful locations. When Joh interrupts her cosy life by trying to take her job away she sucks in the betrayal and enters a competition that will ensure that one of them is a loser.
Needless to say, Josh is a hunk and Sadie is sweet, funny, and determined. Molly Harper’s books have the same feel to them and they work. She doesn’t need to branch away from a proven formula of humour, humility, and sweet, if a little conflicted romance, because time and time again she hits the spot.
This book is no different in that it made me laugh, made me sigh, and made me look stupid as I walked down the street listening to my audio book. What was different was that I fell in love with the location the book was set in.
