Publisher's Summary

He knows better...but he can’t help himself.

Dating someone who lives next door is a disaster waiting to happen. Cameron knows better than to agree to date the sexy new alien that’s moved into his apartment building. Just because George is confident and persistent doesn’t mean it would be a good idea. It also doesn’t mean that George understands what Cameron is really looking for in a partner - a dom who can push him right to the edge.

Aliens landing and asking for asylum was supposed to be the plot of a sci-fi movie, not a sexy romance that’s hotter than anything on cable. But maybe the dom of his dreams won’t come in the package Cameron always expected. Maybe, Mr. Right has tentacles.

My Thoughts

I really enjoyed the refreshing new take on alien invasion and tentacle porn and mates. But I disliked that George & Cameron relationship was so much about edging. That's a Pet peeve for me. As for narration I loved the narrator sexy and fun way of saying “My Cameron'

WEIRD BUT GOOD!!

I liked this story, and would definitely recommend this audiobook. There was only one annoyance that I had while listening, it's the way George sounds when he says, "My Cameron." George says this phrase way too often, so much in fact, that after the tenth time I was rolling my eyes. BUT, other than that, I loved everything about this story!!

Erotica

I wished there was more of a storyline though out the book. I love spicy scenes as much as the next girl but I like a story to go along with it. If you go in knowing it is pure erotica with not much backstory, it is a good book but if you are looking for more storyline, maybe pass on this one.

Great author/narrator combination!

I have read this book before, but it was my first experience listening to this narrator - and definitely not my last! He did a great job bringing the different characters to life. I can’t wait for the next in the series!

More tentacle than tale!

The Alien Invasion has arrived but all they want to do is join Earth society - they’re fairly humanoid apart from the tentacles. Cameron is intrigued when the alien known as George moves into his apartment block, even more so when George asks him on a date. This alien romance was light and fun, although I didn’t see the BDSM coming! In George’s culture, submissives are highly prized and Cameron is happy to oblige. There were some interesting tentacle scenes, though once the novelty had worn off, I felt like the story didn’t really go anywhere - more tentacle than tale - and the final sentences seemed more suited to the end of a paragraph than the end of the book. I suppose there wasn’t much world building since it was set on current-day Earth, but I would have loved to learn more about George’s culture. I think Lyn Gala’s Claimings series explores very similar things in a more interesting way. While I appreciated audio narrator Bob Brill’s performance and distinctive human versus alien voices, the voice he chose for George grated after a while. Having said all that, I’ll definitely check out the other audios in the series.
