Irritating main character and inconsistencies

Inconsistent with previous book's epilogue. Main character has got more and more petulant with each new book and can be down right stupid at times. Only reason I finished this book was because some elements of the story made me want to know what happened, but why the author made the main character increasingly annoying and childish is beyond me.

Good continuation....

I’ve enjoyed this series. My only wish would be for the narrator to not voice Lev as robotic. I think it might have been to show that he still had a hint of his original accent, but I only heard robot. Everyone else had great voices, and the story was well written.

please no book 4

the main character needs to be removed. the rest of the characters are enjoyable but if Nylander doesn't stop complaining I'm done.

No good

Was it a realistic book? Yes, did I enjoy reading about Nila and how frustrating she was? No, I don't want to read about a dumb and overly emotional character. I'd rather have read about characters like Corvin. Lev was a straight simp. No backbone, seems obvious that he was into Nila but never acted on it? Did everything she wanted like some beta simp and that's the only reason Nila wasnt ignored outright. In the end he got himself killed being a simp, saying he wanted to stay home where it is safe. After all that, when they find all types of "life" she decides she just wants to go back and they likely stayed there. Nila was a bad friend in High School and an even worse "friend" in the apocalypse. It was an interesting story no doubt, but constantly annoying most times Nila had any input. That talk about finding "life" is so dramatic, life this life that, overly emotional. Convin was the only actual character I liked, Ben, the dad, the old couple were also cool. Wish the story had more women playing strong roles but nothing too much about them.

Rushed

The first two books were great, but this one felt rushed. It was basically them traveling the entire time. The main character seemed pretty dim and the connection to her daughter didn't seem believable.
When it comes to the narrator, yikes.
They couldn't make up their mind with how they wanted Lev to sound. Most of the time his character sounded like a first grader reading for the first time, which made it hard to follow along.
All in all, a decent series.

What the hell happened?!?!?!?!?!

Okay, I guess I should say SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!
Really enjoyed book 1 & 2! For some reason, I have never seen a more oblivious female lead in any movie, tv show, or book, but there were several good points. There was heart, love, determination, and strength. Yes, tragedy as well, but it’s a plague with zombies story. Of course there’s gonna be tragedy. That said, when the author writes an Epilogue that says, at least for the most part, all is well that means all is supposed to be well!!!!!!!! Here, the author backtracks and makes book 2’s Epilogue null and void. Not only that, but she AGAIN continues with her trend of killing off a really cool major character sometime in the last couple/few chapters. Okay, I get it that yeah zombie story means no one is really safe. I’ve read the Walking Dead I understand. But seriously, I enjoyed that book two had the happy ending. To what end do you need to make this unhappy? It is too fiction? Seriously, if you’re going to make a radical change, at least give us a disclaimer, a PSA, something!

That said, the author does tell a good story and the narrator reads it well, even though you kind of picture Lev acting and sounding like the Terminator. Seriously, I was just waiting for him to go, “Sarah Connor?” just for funsies. But if you liked the first two, this was written much the same. But forget the happy all is well Epilogue of book 2, cuz it’s not well. To be frank, it still sucks.

Best one of the series

So this book was the best in the series! The narrator wasn't my favorite but before the end, she grew on me. In a nutshell, I read/listen to many books from various authors, and while I'm no literary snob, I'm not easily wowed either. This book/story had me in tears at the end....literally. And I mean, tears running down my face, fumbling for a tissue while driving and struggling to compare myself before reaching my destination! Well played, Ms. Druga and Ms. Navarro...well played!

It’s horrible

Where do I even begin? All the other people who said the narration was inconsistent and terrible are spot on. I literally almost can’t tell the difference between any of the characters voices and sometimes I have to stop and think about it and get confused because I thought it was a girl talking when it was supposed to be a boy. The story itself it’s completely Inconsistent with the previous books. Mine are spoiler for a continually example, Nyla says that her husband had been killed with a wrench but he had been killed with the backside of a hammer. Everything is complete and utter garbage. The narration and the story. There are times where she doesn’t even mention her husband. I wasted my credits on this and I wish I hadn’t!

Loved the story even though I am not a Zombie fan.

Loved the story haven’t cried so hard at a book in a long time. Still hate how the reader read the story. Sorry lady you do well except you made Lev sound like a robot not someone with an accent and it made me want to screen. Not every word needs to be enunciated that much. Over all a good book though.

a quarter recap, the rest awkward Lev voice

It's short and the first few chapters are a recap that could be covered in the description. Kinda feel like I wasted my credit.

The Nayla voice is excellent, the Lev voice not so much. Also, the character's motivation seems to have done an about face from previous books. Not that looking for logic in zombie apocalypse fiction makes sense, but I was expecting more, in line with the previous 2 books.

Bit simplistic

I listened to all three books and I was hoping for the main character to stop being so infantile or unaware but sadly it never happened. Found the premise quite good but the story and characters never quite took off for me.
Can’t fault the narrator(Kelsey Navarro) she did an excellent job and even when I was rolling my eyes at the story she kept me listening.

This will hurt you’re heart.

I have grow so attached to these characters and have felt their pain as they have experienced some of the worst times of their lives… This book in particular hurts the most.

Kelsey Navarro is a female RC Bray

what a performance. I hung on every word. 3 superb books with a cracking story, different to other zombie genre books, a diamond in the rough.

Wonderful

I loved this audio book. I have been enjoying the whole trilogy. It's been a long time since I was so invested in some characters that I have shed a few tears.
I look forward to reading more from this author.
Kelsey Navarro has done a great job with the narration, too.
