Aliens. That's right. I said it. I know - it sounds stupid to me also. I'm a psychologist (sort of), so you'd think I'd be able to reason my way out of this mess. Except the reality is that I've been abducted to become their breeder, and it doesn't take an advanced degree to recognize this is all sorts of jacked up. But I digress. Apparently, these aliens are on the brink of extinction and need me and my fellow captives to repopulate. Yay us. I guess it's time to figure out an escape plan before they knock me up. I'll be back later. Hopefully.

The critically acclaimed author of The Radleys shares a clever, heartwarming, and darkly insightful novel about an alien who comes to Earth to save humans from themselves. When an extraterrestrial visitor arrives on Earth, his first impressions of the human species are less than positive. But as time goes on, he starts to realize there may be more to this weird species than he has been led to believe. Eventually, the narrator sees hope and redemption in the humans' imperfections and begins to question the very mission that brought him there.

Seb's Human Pet Ensley
I don’t know what I expected, but initially I did not care for this book but I kept listening and it got much better. Ensley was abducted by aliens right off the street. When she awakens, she is in a cell with other women. She acts like a real b!tch almost immediately (citing that she is from New York City). It is not long before she gets into a physical fight with them. Strange looking aliens come in to buy them but she is sold to her new master, Seb, who takes her to his ship. Seb is a more human looking alien with gray skin and she will be his human pet. Seb’s people have had human pets for years. Some parts were kind of funny when Seb talked about putting her in her “little” bed and her “little” shoes, although this book is anything but a comedy. Seb even has women come to his room for sex, right in front of Ensley. Of course, he never promised her anything. He even shares her with the men on his ship. Eventually they grow a bit closer in that area and have a child together. Because Ensley is a pet, she cannot keep her child. Interesting developments happen after her outburst at losing her child. This book is not romantic. Seb can be rather heartless at times. I did not care for the ending as it seemed rather abrupt. I would love to know what happens next after the pets/humans are released. Two years later, when Seb visits her on earth with their son, do they stay? Do they take her back with them?
Amber Lee Connors and James Ford both did a very good job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

emotional without melodrama
This story is not for anyone sensitive to sexual triggers, but it’s actually more emotional than one long sexual megaromp. It’s more 1 part extra sex done fairly clean; 4 parts sexual tease; and maybe 3 parts Very Emotional. Having said that, I’m surprised at the level of emotion expressed with minimum details, melodrama or hyperbole.
This is an alien abduction story where the human woman is purchased as a pet but without a BDSM type slant. When Ensley awakes to find herself caged on an alien ship, she chooses the path of cooperation to protect her life.
Captain Seb has wanted a Human pet for some time and finally has the time and funds to collect one from the Dulus. As an Imperial Captain, Seb is in space for long periods and expects a pet will break up the monotony for himself and his staff. According to the experts, he’ll have to train the excesses and uncontrollable impulses out of his pet. As a bonus, he can breed her as their biology is so similar. Too bad Humans aren’t quite sentient and can barely remember two days ago. But interesting how the experts seem to have so much wrong and how the Imperial Race is looking to add to their gene pool.
The only really off note for me: I was a bit disturbed by Ensley calling her baby “It” when he was first born and when he was taken away. That doesn’t work for me if she loves him so much, which extend from her feelings for Seb.
Conners and Ford do a decent job of narration.

Disappointed
There is very little romance and it took over 3 hours to exhibit the least bit of eroticism. For a society to be so evolved they sure lack a lot of common knowledge about their "pets". I don't know how the book received such high reviews, it was mundane.

Not for everyone, but most definitely for me!
I love this Audiobook! This is exactly up my alley.
There is science fiction and sex, but also good writing, excellent world building, the best narration you could hope for and most importantly (for me personally), it was serious/ believable and I instantly felt a connection with Ensly (the Main Character).
Feeling an emotional connection with the Main Character is such an important aspect of enjoying and being engaged in a story.
This story is not for everyone. (but which is?)
This is for people not easily offended and not appalled by the idea of a human literally being treated as a pet.
I liked the sex in the book a lot. (very exciting!)
More than 1 of my ‘secret’ sexual fantasy’s comes to life in the book, and I was so happy thinking : yeah!, I’m not the only one who fantasizes about that.
The narration is really excellent, very professional.
It’s narrated by two people, but the sample only lets you hear Amber’s voice.
James does an excellent job too, and something in his voice or his accent made me believe instantly he was of another race.
I’m so grateful I got to review this Audiobook, it was a real delight.
I’m definitely gonna listen to it again and I’m very curious what Olympia will write next!
I got this Audio Book for free (thanks!). I'm voluntarily leaving this review.

Definitely erotica, but with a plot
This is a complete and interesting sci-fi novel. It has plot, with unexpected twists, character development, and it isn’t a first-in-series-cliff-hangers.
But it is explicit. It is very explicit for quite some time. It is also not just explicit, it has issues with consent, BDSM, and other themes that are definitely adult. This book is not suitable for survivors of sexual or domestic crimes (presuming those elements would be upsetting to read about for those survivors)
I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for a review.

made the time fly
bought and listend though this book with short work related breaks over 8,5hours ish.
Amber Lee Connors did amazing work conwaying emotion in her preformance in this audio book. and i hope she will keep on doing exelent work on other books too.
feel like this book should have an erotiva/explicit tag too(exhibisionist/Humiliation(and other bdsm elements)) i am gratefull i was working alone this day, it got pretty exiting at times.
minor persived flaws imo, where not too much of a fan of the first part before the "becomes a pet" part. feels like the wrighter left/ignored the whole human pack mentality and "us vs them" survival instinct to force story along. there are also several time skips that i felt wheren't explained all to well what happened (so short i missed the 1-2 sentences that explains the few months, could have been given some more attention) bigest flaw imo is that there seamed to be zero non verbal communication attempts unless my unfocused mind totaly missed it (and when it was trained/punished out of her) its multiple instances(major spoilers if i mention them all) where logic seams tossed aside and sadly it brings the book down somewhat for me but over all i enjoyed it

Totally Unexpected and Shockingly Good!
I was completely taken by surprise and I could not stop listening. I expected an erotic little story about aliens and pet play but this was so much more. It really made me think. Olympia Black created new species’, new civilizations, new societies with new customs, new rules and made it all make sense! She made me feel for these aliens, made me understand their world, made me laugh, made me cry, man did she make me cry. She ripped my heart out, and then righted the world again. I was enthralled! Word to the wise, while a bit of a slow burn initially, once that fire gets stoked this one’s filled with no hold’s bared naughty erotic goodness, so hold onto your lug nuts! Adding to the fun, the narration was beyond wonderful! I really loved everything about this one!

Enjoyable
Alien Abduction romance and although probably classed as erotica the sex scenes did not detract from the story.
The story is told from the point of view of both Ensly and Seb and you are taken on a journey of their relationship development.
It frustrated me at times how Seb expected her to reign in her barbaric sexual need when all day everyday there would be men pawing at her heightening her arousal. I was desperate for her to get that point across however the language barrier prevented this but I feel there was no real attempt at communication at any level.
The plot of the story is good with some interesting character development. I found the ending was cut short as would have been interested to find out what happens next but I suppose this was intentional, leaving it open for another book.
Overall a good story and worth a listen. The narration was good and I would be interested in listening to more of Amber Lee Connors & James Ford.

A fantastic, imaginative, emotional rollercoaster!
This book grabbed my attention right from the beginning, it was a wild ride, emotionally exhausting, exciting and addictive, even sobbing through the sad parts, (and yes I ugly cried) I just couldn't put it down! The characters were were well rounded and believable, the world building was fantastic and the narration expressive.

An intriguing and pleasant find
Thought provoking book. Yes it is sci fi erotica but the themes are universal and I’m glad I found this book. A very pleasant surprise.
Narration also good

My Human Pet.
Loved listening to the audiobook, the story was well written and the characters are intriguing. Ensley was captured and sold as a pet. Zeb who treats her like a pet and they can breed. Zeb bought Ensley for moral the men on the spaceship. Being the Captain in charge he breeds her for his own to get her pregnant, then again did she get pregnant.
The narrator was clearly spoken and easy to understand.
