Publisher's Summary
The much-anticipated and inspiring memoir by Indra Nooyi, the trailblazing former CEO of PepsiCo, offering clear-eyed insight and a call to action for how our society can really blend work and family - and advance women - in the 21st century.
For more than a dozen years as one of the world's most admired CEOs, Indra Nooyi redefined what it means to be an exceptional leader. The first woman, person of colour and immigrant to run a Fortune 50 company - and one of the foremost strategic thinkers of our time - Nooyi transformed PepsiCo with a unique vision, a vigorous pursuit of excellence and a deep sense of purpose. Now, in a rich memoir brimming with grace, grit and good humour, My Life in Full offers a firsthand view of a legendary career and the sacrifices it so often demanded.
In her book, Nooyi shares the events that shaped her - from her childhood in 1960s India, to the Yale School of Management, to her rise as a consultant and corporate strategist who soon ascended into the most senior executive ranks. The book offers an intimate look inside PepsiCo, detailing how she steered the iconic American company toward healthier products and reinvented its environmental profile without curbing financial performance - despite resistance at every turn.
At the same time, Nooyi built a home with her husband - also a high-powered executive - two daughters and members of her extended family. My Life in Full includes her unvarnished take on the competing pressures on her attention and time, and what she learned along the way. This book, as has her personal journey, will inspire young women everywhere to believe that they, too, can climb to powerful roles without giving up on the desire for a family and children. But, as Nooyi eloquently argues, her story is not a call for women to simply try harder, but is proof of the importance of organised care structures in all of our success. Nooyi makes a clear, actionable, urgent call for business and government to prioritise the care ecosystem, from skilled care networks to zoning policy, to paid leave and flexible and predictable work hours, each so critical to unleashing the economy's full potential and helping families thrive.
Generous, authoritative and grounded in lived experience, My Life in Full is both the story of an extraordinary leader's life and a moving tribute to the relationships that created it.

Insightful, loved it!
The first few chapters were a bit dull ( almost felt like Indra Ma’am led a very boring life and could have let her hair down and have some fun along the way), but then chapter 6 onwards I couldn’t stop! Very holistic with powerful storytelling and futuristic insights - a must read/listen!

Honest and insightful
this audio book was reflective and thoughtful. I’m glad she narrated it herself, it just made the emotion pop out and all the more relatable.
She delves into many themes - being an immigrant woman climbing the corporate ladder, overcoming self doubt and criticism, regret, optimism, self-belief, empathy, struggles of motherhood - but what is striking is contentment. Contentment from living a full life with the good and bad, seeing everything as an opportunity to learn.
She isn’t patronising or prescriptive in any way - just unapologetically describes her experiences and thoughts hoping that it might help someone.

Absolutely enriching
Every sentence has wisdom woven into it somehow. It is full of practical ideas to live life as a woman in the world of work. It doesn't paint the author as a perfect person but as one who learned how to navigate life through varying experiences - some palatable, some not. A worthy read I must say.

Peep into Indra Nooyi
This is a book very easy to listen to. Indra reading it herself made it very authentic. It's not 'how to do it' but simple 'this is what happened'. Loved it

Great story, read by Nooyi herself, but not much to learn from.
Nooyi narrated the story, which made the book more personable.
Her story was fascinating. However, it focused more on covering her life and offered shallow glimpses of how she led, wrestled with hard choices, and how her values were tested to the max.
Enjoyable read but nothing more than that.

Inspirational!
Loved it! An inspiring life told with zero sugar coating!. Hard work and a passion for adding value through all one does, these are the huge take aways from Indra's story so far. Her story shows that there are many people out there who see only your potential and will move heaven and earth to support and help you through any challenge.

Absolutely inspiring
This book provided such an amazing insight into her life. I thoroughly enjoyed every chapter. I would highly recommend for women especially to read this and be inspired to reach their potential if they aspire to be global leaders like Indra. That said, the book also celebrate the enablers, her mum, parents, mother in law, husband and all the other people who championed her and supported her unwaveringly. The final chapters leave plenty of food for thought for readers on what the future could be to allow other people to follow a similar path.

Vanilla and insipid
I have looked up to Indra as an Indian woman who made it in the corporate world. This book reads like a corporate report. It has no real examples of the effort or struggles that an immigrant woman faces to
Make it in the world of work. Either Indra led a charmed existence or she glossed over the struggles. Either way she lost a follower.
